question: anyone know how to make custom truck/trailer liveries? and do they work on TMP

this is more of a technical question: how are roads created in ETS2?
is it 1 model or multiple models that make up the pavement, road stripes etc?
sometimes the road stripes seem to be mesh overlays, as in they are floating above the pavement to prevent zfighting, whereas in other areas they seem to be a part of the same textures as the base pavement. or, perhaps the stripes are mapped in a different UV channel than the base pavement? say UV-1 is pavement, UV-2 would be stripes - or are my guesses not how it works?
or, does the game devs use some kind of path editor to procedurally create path points and then choose what sort of texture mapping they want for each path section? I would imagine that saves a ton of disk space

Mmm, close, but instead of a regular b-double it had 2 of those short sections and then the full length trailer at the enx, basically making 3 boxes alltogether.

and there was a steam mod to make it easier no idea if its still around you make/customize the setup then buy it save game and then you can go in tmp with it even after the mods disabled or uninstalled etc

be warning tho triples arnt for beginners and if you cant handle the trailer setup can get a ban for impeding traffic or reckless drving if it causes crashes

I've been enjoying the new Renault e-tech a lot, the thing is as many of you have probably seen it's just that it almost has no range but the power and torque are amazing and find it really satisfactory, with this, and the fact that you simply can not recharge it makes it nonviable if you don't have infinite fuel.

For the longest time, I thought that infinite fuel was not allowed in MP, this is why i resorted to having one truck for MP and my Renault E-tech for SP, but I've discovered you can edit the save in which you have your well... save, to have infinite fuel and thought to myself to give infinite fuel to my Renault and don't have the hassle of changing trucks every time i want to play with my friends.

I've watched a lot of tutorials about save editing fuel, at least for my Renault e-tech it just wont work, no matter what number (5, 999, or whatever) I put in the fuel relative in the save game file, the moment I start to accelerate its batteries come back to its normal capacity, has anyone figure how to save edit the fuel relative of this specific truck to achieve infinte charge? Am I doing something wrong in the process? if so, what more info do i need to provide to troubleshoot it. Thanks!

Simply go to the service garage and replace the engine with the diesel engine. Go to the nearest gas station, fuel up, then return to the services and put in the electric engine.

you need to save edit the truck into the game (rather than mod it with the workshop) and then save edit the infinte fuel aswel 😄

me see the long chassis have cargo placed "wrongly" (particularly seemingly too far to the front)
me move cargo point backward
me see "perfection"
...or so me thought

turns out the extension length of the lld 2+4 model that the base game has is actually longer than the extension length of all other buyable extendable lowloaders

the "original" position i believe would have this front connect nicely to that front spot but then it'll leave a really dumb gap & other parts of the model being placed weirdly at the back

...and no way i'll be doing dis shet to like hundreds of cargo models

......and also this triggers my OCD greatly

not to mention the beacon of the trailer model also stops working for whatever reason despite all i did was just moving it to the right a little

If you cant do it manually you should look for it elsewhere. We have some trailers in insanux. But double heavy cargo hct wont work

The hookpoints arent near bumper so you would end up with 2 trailers glitched together around the hitch point

The best you could do would be a flatbed - dolly - heavy or
B triple. But remove back trailer to add the heavy there
