3 days, take it or leave it 😂
Have you proved to be a bit of a sh*thead or is this the usual way?
Hello. im 16 yo and i wanna have a trucking career and owning my own truck, i have been looking at scania 500r or a volvo fh500 i have looked for used trucks and i found both of the models 2021 for 30k should i get a new or a used? (if my options arent good u can give me advice on what other trucks are better!) i know its early but i want to know for what and what budget i should try to save up for
the price makes me wonder why its so cheap. its a new model and it just seems suspicious
Real
Go get all yur licenses first
Bussiness licenses and whatever u need
gotta be 18 it aint like in america wheere u can get form 16
In America you have to be 21 to have a commercial license
Your good just informing you
by tag teaming it means he is in the truck with you yes?
Yes
Where you from
Greece?
Yeah it’s pretty shit $900 a week but it’s been hard to find a trucking job with no experience.
Nope, this is how Prime runs their program
So 3600 a month? How many hrs?
We don’t have vacancies anyway
And only 1 day artic 2 night artics unless you want boring 18t
ahh i see i see i think im too far away anyway
There is no set amount of hours. We just run when loads are ready or not
Yeah ik how much y aveeeage tough
Hi
70-80 hours a week that I would assume he does
Without e-log, could be a different story lol
What’s driving hours?
.
Can’t imagine the massive fine to pay later
.
Its a van, so no driving hours
Makes sense then
Nice scania
I drive a van with the funny book, so I can just say shit about my times
in the book all i gotta write down is when i started etc, and the km and the city etc, its easy to type bullcrap in there, not proud off it, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do
i have seen sometimes some vans off your company
Same, they always cut me off for no reason!
They can’t drive for shit
Always with their foglights on at daylight
Dont lie u never seen one
I see enough on the highways
Mmm
Take a pic next time
Check if itsnt a foreigner
If its not its probably me
- always fogs on and no width marker
BAG?
no, purse🗿
?
What u do
blocked
Long kollega
short koleka
True
Familiar company
How so
Oh yeah, you have little longer combination
You forgot your 3rd trailer
Funnily enough this was from 2 years ago when the port dudesons had a strike
We did do some funky stuff with trailers then
Thats what ive heard. I heard that you guys had 3rd trailer too
to many Lights on front
its glowing like a 🎄
gotta pay now around 180-250€
L
"your vehicle can be seen on road, so heres your fine have a great day" lmao
it's not even much, i am happy that they didn't seen my illegal headlights
But they didn’t complain about my curtains blocking almost whole driver and passenger window
at this point i call it "ugly"
JEzus xD
Taste things
Had to remove some lights and remove the cross
how did u get the flashers in headlights
RGB Bulbs
alright
damm
so i bought 2
Why 2
easy install and works
one for the normal lights and one for the license plate
yeah 💀
show xD
i will do a video on monday if you remind me i am to lazy to walk down
basically T10 W5W are used for the parking ligts and license plate lights
they do show an error on screen that their broken but it is because off different bulbs aka aftermarket
probably because off the voltage difference
and fair to say, they take around 10 seconds to actually wORK
yeah
i got a video off them booting up
and put goofy music over it to post on tiktok
there
i got same as urs
But im waiting for my truck
so im not gonna buy stuff for van
and the truck has led drl
How do you even back those up to the ramp looks kind of difficult to drive ngl
as long as you have space you can just think that the first trailer is the truck and it goes like a normal 25.25m combination
but if you dont have space then idk, just reverse the trailers individually
I havent really driven them so I dont really know
Oh alright
Was for sure nice then ig to have that trailer combo
Its good for terminal to terminal transport because you can fit a lot more (obviously)
But nowadays seems like they are used for everything, even your average supermarket distribution
Most are those rigid chassis that have these kind of combinations
Yea
Is trucking nice and a good job or no?
Cause currently I'm doing truck mechanic and when I finish that I want to maybe start driving for a company
id say so
If you have the time to disconnect them then yeah its a good idea, but its not rocket science xd
Not hard. You get the hang of it once you start doing it
Truck is not straight
And the dolly is on an angle
Try again
Doesnt matter
As long as the bridge can be lowered into the trailer, it's good

This. And youre not blocking acces to the bridge next to you
I once blocked it cuz I originally had to put my truck in there and the lift didn't open on the rear so I just didn't care to reconnect it to the trailer and just blocked it for ~2.5 hours
average kv2 experience
with a hct
I thought double trailer banned in England
How is this a double trailer?
Thats just a tandem
Or rigid with trailer
How you want to call it
That looks nice and good backing up skills
I want to get into trucking but first have to finish my job then
Oh its a seperate trailer tho?
Its a trailer behind a normal rigid
yes. lithuanian plates. See 1 of them almost everyday on uk roads
not a double . it's a 20" swap carrier truck with a 20" swap carrier trailer .
Oh wowza from long long away
So… a double mini?
So mini its not classed as one as it is still full suze of normal one?
its basicly just like a normal tractor trailer
Yeah, it’s just a tandem. Pretty common down here on the south coast, surprisingly.
Definitely nice to see, and fully legal :).
I think we even upped our max vehicle length to now like 63 meters? (I’m not sure, don’t quote me on that.)
fair
if you need parts for your sprinter lmk
xd kk
longer then finland?
austria has an absolute length of 18.75m - usually we stick to 16.50m tho 😄
rules for NL
truck and trailer alone can be 12M
truck + trailer is 16,50m
rigid with trailer is 18,75m
car transport can be 20,75m
circustransport is 24m
and then you have the special transport with its own rules

Circus can even be longer im pretty sure
as their vehicles are registered differently
just in the netherlands they dont use it often and just drive a few times
Why can’t I send images 😭
Cuz u aint verified
Huh, I’m not hiding how much they pay during training phase lol it’s public information on their website
Can be over 16.5 most are due to economics reasons like aerodynamic or bigger bed for the driver
I ain’t saying u hiding am just interested
If its a new earodynamic cab it can be 16,75 for truck trailer
Or 19,00 for tandem
Only 25cm bigger
u dont drive?
Oh mb i didnt see
Meant foot, tbf
Ya okay make sense then
Not perfect. Still takes time to back it up.
So cool
The nice part about playing ats/ets, you don’t have to deal with breakdowns 😂
You live in US?
He dont
He is from Texas
Loaded the wrong load today.. dispatch told me to load 429 was supposed to load 421. 2 hours wasted. Both loads was supposed to leave on our companys trucks. Still they wouldnt just change the paperwork and smile..
Both trucks LNG powered. Customer wouldnt know the difference.
Dented dispatch as usual
easier and cheaper to just stick with the wrong load
Feels good to be back at work
@jade tangle when you going back to work
You want payment by google play giftcards
Nah, usually the scammers are the ones who message me directly
said no one ever
I'm the type of person who'd rather be at work than at home doing nothing
It was a yoke but yea
glad im going to work tomorrow
running out of of money
I feel you
Being at home with my bf is nice, but after a few days boredom sets in, and i want to go back to driving
👍

Just drive to spain to melt it
No
Was on the phone with my buddy he is in Spain with 20°
Nice
Let him Kooik
Apparently I need to improve my economic driving
Turn down the music that wastes a lot of fuel
Hell nah
cuz?
Saves fuel and money
Clean again, for a few meters 😊
wow did u visit spain that fast to melt the snow of ur roof
I'm an effective driver
Clearly yeah

Helium cargo
tf u carrying empty pallets?
whatever this is called?
I got a fully loaded trailer but because of the ABS fault in the trailer, the scales are out of wack
I'd call it "Luftpolsterfolie" but idk the english word for it and cba to yank up another Google Rameater Tab for deepl

Bubble wrap
There's literally a quad at the rear of the trailer
bubble wrap
#irl-trucking message too slow
Lol
Long ass day today😂
Almost finished finishing the seedbed with the Väderstad 😂 started trucking at 4, 18 hours of work so far..
Bubble wrap
Can I help you

Urs?
stop backseat moderating
Just a 750hp Volvo
When was first snowfall in Norway?
Millions of years ago
Idk early October sometime, if you're asking this year
Oh wow
Thx i didnt know
Oh, ok sorry
Yeah but the photos people send shows what truck drivers drive, which is classed as IRL trucking isnt it?
If it's their own truck.
TOOB
i want too
sweet daf
boss cleaning again

Squeaky clean
Man i want proper snow for once
Aslong as i dont get any residential adres

Waiting for boat?
No just came to work
nub snow
Yes
We get some snow here maybe once per year but not much
Damm fancy
First time this season
Norway?
My buddy slid in the ditch in front of me
oof where in norway is that?

Sortland
ooo be safe
Finland i believe
Ok ty
i think i had the first snowfall right before October tbh (Norway btw)
U give him a tug or
Of course not
what camera do you use
@rugged cape bhahaha i bet u went on cb and laughed at him
Nextbase 380GW
We were already on the phone
Ah
Bet it was lot of laughing
I’m thinking of getting cb for mine
Aka ask mechanics if we got some laying around still
I can install for cheap price
Why? They do it free or a few beers aka Friday walk and grab vs them walk and grab it 😂
Noone uses them here
True all got the headset on and be calling each other
Finland
Same thing if you go up north
Yep but im in south
Headset and mental asylum group calls from 3:00-15:00😎🥰
Don’t matter for me your up north 😂
id only do that if the whole gang has headsets
as all our car kits are ass quality
even the standard build in ones

mic so far away from driver
On my van its on the driver side dash
right below the indicator stalk
where all the fkn wind noise is

I hope in my truck its better
Very nice
its iveco, it wont
Winter wonderland
But for u winter hell land?
I'm not sure if snow is very nice when trucking
Not a problem
Poor lady 😂
Pleasant when propane trucks are using both lanes 😂
thats actually mad
Still waiting for a new truck
Meanwhile me
who is waiting for his own fkn truck

atleast scania finally started building up the new rigid for the driver who will get it
then i can take his truck lol
Lucky you. We are getting new daf
its not bad but daf doesnt produce any powerful truck

well
the scania isnt for me
its for the current driver of what will be my truck
unless he decides no dont want it
Yeah, for me scania is the best brand ive ever driven. It has the best chassis, interior and looks.
ive drivne scania and daf
scania on driving lessons
and a daf on code 95 test
and the daf was absolute dogshit
What kinda daf
If i wanted to on scania i could floor from start be fine
and on the daf i had to feather or itd shock so much
uh
no clue just the new onses
not xg tho
previous
This one?
Yeah they are pretty strong too
doing 20
touch brake lightly
skrrt
💀
had to let go of brake or itd be so violently stopping and shaking
Nah its not, just underpowered
its ass
It looks like one but it works so
Yeah maybe that makes things little bit harder
Maybe
Our truck has worked pretty well
Oh wow that's some snow
You get used to it, it can be a challenge at times. But mostly a welcome one
Usually never a problem
snow is not a problem
ice is
Nah
for a supertrucker like u its no problem
Oh ur very very far north
Usually
I’d love to visit Norway next winter.
Well, snow can become a problem when the brainlets decide to put a snowplie where i need the space to swing a corner..
Usually never a problem if you ain't a koleka
Never a problem
Missä on noin paljon jo lunta 😵
Lahti has. And probably Kuopio as well (if not more)
Copy that, drive safe
39hr break over, let's go
Couldn’t wait 6 hrs more? Now u gotta compensate it xd
Foggy
How much meters u think
Ah thats not a lot
But that’s top of Maasvlakte road so yeah utter shit
Nah wouldn't make it to loading. Going to Amsterdam for a week before I need to compensate so it's no worry
And also that is illegal
What’s illegal?
Full weekly rest in the truck
What do you mean
Because that's when I started my week to be at delivery place when they open at 7:30am
Coulda done 24
Bruh then it would be sunday
Double clone is still learning
Starting at 4:30pm to drive 30 minutes to unloading to wait until 7:30am means I'd have to compensate 21 hours compared to 6. And needed to start my next weekly rest at Saturday compared to Sunday
That's why 39 is better 😌
Dont worry, they are newbies and dont understand loading/unloading windows yet. Also screw unloading windows, if I arrive within open hours and theres free personnel just lemme unload.
Usually it's fine but everything is closed on sundays. I was once delivering to a hardware store. The store closes at 9pm but the goods receipts close at 4pm and I was there at 4:30pm. They refused to unload me at 4:30pm so I had to wait until 8am the day after and it was the same guy I had asked earlier that unloaded me at 8am. I was mad
Yyp thats why we mostly only service customers which we are allowed to unload ourselves with their equipment. Mostly constructionsites. They just leave the keys in👍👍
Most places will do that but not in big cities. They used to be nice about it but not anymore
Agreed, we specialize in "just in time" around the clock deliverys. Love it! But self unloading with a rototilt excav when its been a while is tedious when unloading 51 pallets one at a time🫠
I mean the guy unloading me understood the situation and told me that it was stupid but that he couldn't do anything since his boss said no
Usually thats the way it is.. also if you was allowed "everyone has too" is bullshit that ruins everyone s fun..
But my traffic manager knows and he will prioritize those who unloads
I asked him what they would do if I had my own forklift to unload with after 4pm and he didn't have an answer
Yup, we sloved the self loading issue with some of our customers by simply having us truckers "work there" on paper.. which is stupid. But insurance companies gonna insurance companies..
Same... Delivering to Bauhaus is a very specific PITA that way..
Worst case scenario we can self unload with a palletjack and the liftgate in a few hours..
But you are working in your company unloading cargo for your company so they have insurance
Not that simple in Sweden sadly...
Well we unload garbage ourselves in Sweden so I never had that issue
In Boden and Kiruna they're nice but in Umeå they can be difficult
How would that take a few hours?
Liftgate and loading between the truck and trailer to access the liftgate.. try it
unhook
Yea, depends on the customer, its not as simple as being able to generalize. Every customer has different insurance that interoperates with ours different. For example when are not allowed to self load at Gyproc. But we can self unload Gyproc deliverys.
Ah yes no shit
unless u got doors on front of trailer
well u can just walk from truck to trailer then
it shouldnt take oto long
unless ur walking like 100 meter from truck to warehouse and back with each pallet
Dont help when puttin the pallets on the ground.
Have you ever tried? You realize its 51 pallets?
Yes
so it wont be several hours but still ofc a hour or 2 at max
A couple is literally 2 hours..
You do realize you have to move 18 pallets to the truck > move truck > unload > repeat?
Does your trailer not have a liftgate?
Nope
We only use the truck gate only as a last resort.
Maybe once a month, and to do extra localwork when getting home to earlt
We legaly cant have one on 27m combinations for some odd reason..
Thats stupid
Some "fair competition" bs
here most combinations have a liftgate on truck and trailer
theyre ofcourse only 25.25 here but still
What kinda bs is this
"oh u can carry 18 more pallets?"
"no liftgate on trailer for you"
making u be slower lmao
Well its allowed up to 24 meter and 25,25 eu combinations for some reason..
Also the truck is technically a 19, pallet and the trailer 34 but we rarely do that..
i mean easier to have some extra room
makes it less annoying to turn around with a pallet etc
then u can turn inside the truck vs the fkn liftgate
the amounts of times ive almost fallen off
Well since we do constructionsites we deal with a lot of "sea pallets" of odd dimensions so the extra 40 cm each is for that bullshit
yea
i love when i have to load those kinda pallets
usually if your lucky u have 2 american pallets that are 1 meter wide
Its all i do😂😂😂
so i can still fit them next to eachother
but i have times where i got 120x120 pallets
load 3 and im basicly full
very fun when planners then still want me to load 3 euros
Yes it fits but its very fkn annoying to have to try and cram them in
Well we ship what fits luckily😂 and our contracts are multi delivery, so if we end up saving one 8 hour trip thats good for the books.
oh yeah definetly
meanwhile i once got send on a detour of in total 2 hours away from company ish
on a return
then 2 hours to company from there
geuss what?
228 and 240 high
that does not fit
dumbass planners sometimes
they know my height yet just do not check for the height with customer
Sometimes our final delivery looks like this... Which is a bit dumb..
Racecar load 😏😏
Bros strapping down when he has “solid” walls and isn’t in Germany 😂
80% forward and 50% to the sides and back is the law 😃
Average Swedish gated area
yeah but thats usually on open trailers and such
in closed trailers with solid walls it cannot get out of it
It's on everything
put a bar behind and u solid
Yes it can
items in trailers can very easily shift around in transit and ive seen it first hand
bruh not even a ribbon n that chain
u know what that calls for, the ribbon cutter 3000
i mean i have containers
Enough speed and momentum and it's going to take the walls with it
hvor kjører du?
Yes, ive seen a fewa ccidents here in canada where straps werent used properly and the trailer blew in half
the ones i get loaded at one company been a while i went there, theyll actually at the end use two pallets and straps trough one of the rings so it has force cant move backwards, and they fill gaps, but like today 2x container loaded and nothing tied down but like also no space for it to move
dnt let the mods see this
Yeah that's the dumbest thing I've ever seen. Once I was at a place and they put an extention cord in the air to not get run over but guess what, I still ran it over 😂
haha but thats fine that will tear apart
that chain woulda done damage
i mean
u dont have a chain cutter
i mean i dont have one at work cuz they dnt want us but ive had it 2x i had to go somwehere and get a container unlaoded, no 3x already , i dont have often the boxes be unloaded as in at a dock
and had to ask them for cutters or shit
one time i went and theyre like: open it up
me: i will once u gimme a tool to cut it
they had non and i didnt but there was a handy man who had like angle grinder so that worked
Is that a bus
Need more light
i gotta get some led lights for in the truck man, so theres a small vibe in, but also perhaps replace all interior leds for red leds
few guys have that but its also way better in the morning and evening in the dark
This is why they should hang something lf it
U only got poppies as rsd lights?
I just put in a simple led strip
No I have leds
but when door opens or lights go on when turn it off red be nicer as it isnt as bright
Nice hat
Turn it off
yeah i do during day but in morning when dark needda have it on sometimes to see what im writing on cmr, hence i wanna perhaps change the color of those, but i also wanna just add some leds but i gotta get a adapter then cuz one has my dashcam one has phone charger and theres only 2 plugs so yea
Its drywall dipshid
Wanna tell more? You must be the expert
Its 900mm packs of drywall😂
Luckily we load 1200mm drywall
Finally some new tires
Chunky
Got my truck license some days ago
The game changed to serious mode now🫡 🤣
Congrats!
Congratulations
Congrats! Welcome to the club!
Congratulations!
Smoll
Atleast u got a bed etc so
what can this even haul
Smol cab
Same as any other truck
Nice and tight
it has less power than most rigid trucks around me
I doubt it’s hauling anything more than 15t even if it legally can do more
Can do 50 ton if needed, it won't be fast, we had P340's and hauled 33 tons of load, 50 tons total
Stand still
Actually more since it's probably lighter
Not on a 4x2 I assume?
Yes, just a 4x2 semi with a 3 axle trailer
50 ton total weight is allowed in the Netherlands 10 ton per axle
I have a question, do yall real truckers use "best roads" (highways) or "small roads" irl?
Depends on where you going, but most is on highways, and the last few km's on smaller roads, although it may happen that sometimes its faster to take the smaller roads
And it also depends on the type of work, and which country you are in
Lets say Slovakia for a example, normal 18-21 tonne haulage
Is there a way in ets2 to make gps work like that? Btw ik i should say this in #ets2-modding
you can only chose on "fastest", "best" or "country roads".
I know that
I don't have any experience with Slovakia, but i do with Hungary, there are some highways, and they are expanding the highway network, but for the 5 hours one way i did there, was 30 minutes on highway, rest on local roads
Is there a way I make the navigation adaptive or something
Also depend on where you going, if you go from the Austrian border to Bucarest, its all highway, i went from the border to Lake Balaton and then down to Pecs, only along lake Balaton was highway for me
Not really, it will pick from one of the options thats available, but in the map you can set waypoints
Hmm, alright, what setting do u use when driving
I honestly do not know
Oh, it's all good, thanks for helping
Small roads, we don't have many highways
What country?
Norway
Makes sense
for some reason i have that on my phone
lol p series tractor trailer
thats a stupid ass claim

Not really
Small p tractors and similar are usually at max maybe 360hp
You’re a stupid ass claim
we pull fully loaded 25,25 m combinations with a p series up here in norway

Doesn't mean it's needed to have 500hp
You can't even get a V8 in a P series
I was about to say 😄
Only R and S have the V8 option afaik
And looking at NL, it's literally as flat as can be. 300-400hp is plenty enough there
you gonna have issues in austria tho
Depends on how heavy the load is
well, I had with my 360hp on empty my issues already - dont wanna see the situation if I would've had cargo in it lol
Plenty of tunnels and bridges disagree

Bruh if I got 26 ton on the trailer I’ll leave tunnel at less than 70 if I don’t let it run to a 100 downhill
70 is supposed to be slow?
haha
Depends on the tunnel, just above 70, slowest sofar climbing was near Maastricht where i got down to 66km/h with 30 tons of load, started the climb with 83 km/h
We actually got something called traffic here not where y barely see any cars or trucks
bro lives in the north pole
We run with 480 hp into France, Germany, Austria, Danmark, UK Luxumburg, and sometimes Spain and Italy
in one of the tunnels on my route I have around 35 km/h at the top and thats when I have 90 km/h at the start of the incline + kickdown
480hp are okay for austria
I've done 40kmh uphill on a 120kmh highway. 70kmh isn't slow
We did run those same loads/routes till a few years ago with 400 and 410 hp trucks, they even used one of the P340's for France
💀
Lot of the trucks where FH400 or XF410
trying to drive with 340hp in austria aint a good idea
why does the traffic even matter? I have 60-70 km/h before hills on 80 km/h roads to eco roll... Doesnt matter what traffic I have behind me, they can drive past me or I will let them pass later on
Later on we got some FH440, and XF105.460, but also Actros 420, and MAN TGX 440
We run a FH460 that hauls literally has a gross weight of 60+ tons.
The older FH's performed great, even with 400 hp, although some did not like the new 460's when they came out
same for 450
A FM7 also can have a 48 ton load and still pull it, although not as fast
450 will do just fine
I'd say so too, but everything below 400 is..... well.... savage 😂
No, thats just fun, especially with a manual gearbox
💀
paid hourly, no problem
I love a good challenge, in ETS2 i drive a CF with 340 hp and a 8 speed manual, love the challenge
weekly in austria, 450hp and 12 speed manual or 16.
The best
I've seen it on Rowan's Server :3
sadly i am not allowed to drive it
yeah, but still.... I dont wanna be a pain in the behind on the highway yk?
Also do not forget, 40 years ago it was normal to have 320 to 380 hp, if you had a 420 or 450 hp V8 you where the man of the road, and now people complain when they have 450 or 480 hp
Yeah, I know 😄
Why not
no license yet, tho tomorrow exam module 1
It also will drive without a license
the driver does, kinda like tho weeda drivers cleaning his truck every possible time exterior and interior
i should have taken a photo of a different truck last saturday, dude made it look like he drove a rally with it
I know a few that are the same
Very fun when u clean
and next day u must go trough a muddy road
to get to company

Fun moments
And driving hours weren't enforced as much, so more time on your hands
I could manage less HP than my 500 but I already struggle with driving hours so
I just drive 83
Well you don't have hills
We have some small ones
No
Yes, we have Limburg, and de Hoge Veluwe
100 meters
Limburg is 300+ meter
Great light placement
Oh look, Nubtu in a VW
Hated it. Luckily it's far gone
Still in the Volvo LNG?
You don’t even clean your van yourself tough
Yup
Okay and????
Are you guys trucking for the money or actually like to drive? What is your “why” ?
mixed. I like to drive but also the money fits way better than on my old job
Both
This set up for hydraulics is amazing compared to my last company
Hey, does any1 know if having a hgv license will help with personal car insurance ? (Class 1 c+e)
In the uk btw
Both
Depends on the insurance company, for me it does as i'm insured via a truck insurance company, not sure if a company in the UK offers the same
yeah was hoping it does because I literally get extortionate prices so was hoping once I get my class 1 that might go down abit cuz obviously you'd be a more qualified/responsible driver
I don't know how insurance in the UK really work, i know it has to do with age etc, but i don't know how they calculate the rates
Yeah I can't really find much info on it either I'm 18 and a one year license holder and can't get anything under 5,000£
It's kinda cringe
to be fair I do live near london but 5k is abit unpayable
Thats, expensive, i pay 51 euro a month
I wish, and funnily enough the car I was looking at was a 2006 1litre polo
60bhp
I know its expensive over there
Buy a car that no teen drives and itll already be alot cheaper lol
Prolly not
Paid over 2k for civic xD and this year, with hgv licence i managed to get comprehensive for 1200? 102.73 monthly if im not wrong
I mean, 2k for the 1st year holding car licence for like 3-4 months
How old are you tho
yeah im 18 and a one year license holder doing my class 1 next week
Or 21 lol XD don't remember
I guess the only option is to get a new car, some cheapest sht as insurance companies look different on the new cars for some reason, but i bet you can't afford one. So you pay 5 grand or you have to ask your parents to be named drivers
Funnily enough if I put my dad as a the main driver its 3-4k more expensive than when im first driver
it makes 0 sense
Wtf
Insurance companies in the uk is actual scam and noone even care about it apart from young people wanting to drive
Which is sad
yeah if they don't want us driving on the roads why not age limit the license to 21 or somethin
Still confused they didn't glue themselves in the middle of m25 trying to do something about it lmao 😂😂
don't talk about the m25 i have ptsd
Cmon man, you're about to finish your licence, and drive on m25 everyday in a truck 😅 do you know how painful it is when you are fully loaded?
atleast when there is a 4 hour delay I'll get paid
Thought same when i started driving
There is no money they can pay me for driving there, or waiting in huge traffic jams
I am on hourly pay, still want to drive and not sit and wait
Even tho im on containers 🤣
Yeah I get that but atleast you're not wasting time haha
you still get paid for sitting in traffic yea its not fun
Its exhausting, its different to sit and get paid like me now, in a truck stop, than in a traffic, moving the truck every 5mins
But it is what it is, i wanted to, no one forced me to drive lorrys
U don’t know how painfully steep tunnel downhill is having a tank container being 27 ton and it not be full to bring and no bulkheads nice n slammy
Nice
Nice
Its not
cuz its a daf right
Nah, its underpowered
Maasdijk
i think hz logistics is located there, just a guess
Don’t hide from me muhahha
Ur getting old
He already has dementia
Are those the western lights??
No, they’re the southern lights
south eastern
Wow is he from Australia
Last load of the week💪🏼
yes
im no tipper driver but with trailer being long and heavy loads, wouldnt u wanna tip it halfway first get good weight out of it before fully raising it/ less stress on the ram and less change to tip
what im unloading here is wet ish sand, so the quicker i can get it raised the better, also the ground thats in front of me leans a lot to the side so i have to just unload where im at and then move when either the sand is all the way out or just in the end of the trailer
`ah
so if it was just noraml sand aka not wet n such u wouldnt go up as fast as possible but get some weight out first?
well i would still stand the same place and raise it as high was possible no matter what is inside of it
cause it just needs to be unloaded in the same pile/area same with the grain and sugar beets that we drive currently, i normaly dont do a lot of dirt or sand hauling
taglift?
Nighty night

My english is not that good so idk what youre saying, but the middle axle is the drive axle and you can lift the back axle (non drivable)
yes, that's what I meant. I thought for this type of trailer config you need 6x4 in Finland?
Mmm no, its 6x2
But both rear axles need to be dually
ah, makes sense
And if its a truck like that it needs to have atleast 3 axles
Not allowed to post photos while driving here btw
who cares
The ones who banned me probably
Idk, this was 2,5 years ago
ah
Just state that you are parked

@timid hedge at least I get a real life sized wheel today 😂 tho I can’t take this one home
A bit hard I think
Just say it's a private road. Rules don't govern that
Tbf that genuinely looks like one
80% of roads in Finland are private
wow
if 80 percent of roads in finland are private
what makes it a private road? whats the difference between a private road and public road?
i thought roads in most places are from the government?
Private roads have a private owner.
And how do you see that? Can you drive on them? If so is it paid or free2use?
Most are open to public, some are not
But how can you tell? Signs? Or tells the Navigation System that?
oh yes of course but 80 percent of them?
why arent they from the government?
😭
Idk
Easier to just assume every road is private

Exactly
Parked in 60 kmh 😂
private property man
clean that truck
Ive had no time for that this week 😅
speedometer froze
whats the point of wheel chocks
some companies require it, like KN in the netherlands. its because the trailer can move when you're loading / unloading but most of my colleagues dont use them
why would the trailer move
only way I could see it move on a flat surface like that is if someone pushes the release valve
?
oh the yellow thing i didnt know the word in english
well to stop it from moving when ppl load the trailer
Driving a truck in the trailer bounces it quiet a lot can cause it to move. Also if the break on the trailer stops working it can save it from moving
common sense ?
if there is a risk of the trailer moving while loading if the parking brake is engaged then it should not be on the road
huh
you dont know how trailer brakes work?
thats mostly when they unhook trailers, but when the truck is tehre like i never chock it
its extra percation what do u mean
"Also if the break on the trailer stops working"
its just unecessary and a waste of time
it has to do with safety, plenty places they unhook trailer, and then what theyll do is go in with ellectric pallet jacks and for instant load it with 1ton pallets front to back, the weight could move the trailer a bit and then without chocks it could slowly move away from dock a bit , enough to have the ramp fall out
plenty docks the back of the trailer vs where the ramp is located and fold open can be quite a distance
u have "more experience" than me yet you have never driven a truck, ahve u even ever worked in a warehouse with docks? cuz i have
shit can move
ur saying shit without having experience so pls just dont say shit u dont know about
dude just reading this sentence gave me a stroke
the trailer will never move enough for the "ramp to fall off"
if there is a risk of the trailer moving from loading and unloading then that trailer should not be on the road
bro theres plenty of docks where the gap from the rear bit of the trailer the ramp can rest on to the start of where the ramp starts already be 15to 20cm
and most are 30to 35long
add a angled trailer not being in straight or not fully against the back of the dock against wall and that becomes bigger
okay? but the trailer still wont move enough lmao
it can
most stuff while on parking brake can move a tiny bit
same as when u put steering lock on and can move it a tiny bit
shit can move evne if braked, not much but enough
it wont move enough
ever tried pulling a trailer with the parking brake on?
lmk how it goes
with good friction
u never driven a truck u said so yeah shut up, a trailer with brakes on can be moved bits
yeah and thats 7months ago, i got my license
okay thats the whole point dumbass
Watch your language please.
Plus, why are we causing an unnecessary argument
Nice joke
it has happen at our work, people load the trailer they dont have those chocks, when they drive out from the trailer the ramp has moved just a bit of the truck, and the truck weighs a bit so it coplases it and u can get hurt it may not fully fall out but its as said from double clone safety
better safe then sorry but maybe you dont understand that
Maybe its also better for you to jump of the semi truck when getting out to save 5 miliseconds and destory the legs and feets
idk and i dont care what you do but thats how it is here
id rather keep my workers extra safe then something happening to them and it being on me and me feeling the guilt of them getting hurt or badly hurt
Ive seen trailers go up and down 30 cm
when forklift / ept etc drives in or out of the trailer
no chocks is deadly then
if it moves too much
Okay? and
keep seeing bro
whats wrong with failing a test
ive got my license so i obviously am more then capable to drive a truck
keep ur eyes open dude
just ignore the guy, guys being a prick wanting to start beef
haha
You know there is companies that comes with a wheel loader and puts a huge damn brick thing infront of the truck for safety as well lol
It wasnt invented for no reason there is a reason behind it
what the hell are you saying?
i seen thos vids, but also a excevator when move just pound the inside of the trucks tipper and be like nope
i mean if u got a wheelloader and big concrete stones etc laying around
may aswell use that to support trailer instead of spending 2k on a pin holder
yeye but some places do
Yea
alot of bigger companies in belgium have the supports for trailers
but thats usually because they have alot of containers on dock at all times
so its smart to put them under as half the time those arent loaded right anyways
i seen a 40ft being loaded and by a forklfit and not be supported on the front
back basically 2tires kept coming loose one fully and one basically almost all barely touch ground and front just stay on, no front support and loading with a forklift flying in
if that wasnt chocked it be jumping over the parking lot
Loading some sand👌🏼
Is it bros sole purpose to prove strangers wrong on the internet?
Judging by the message history I was correct
I've heard of backseat gaming but backseat trucking a whole new thing
If the surface is icy it could move. Ive heard stories like that
thats a whole different thing again
but yes
and if you have been driving for a while and the tires are warm in combination with snow etc
How
