What kind of truck have you driven in your life? It's easy to call other's truck a shit when you don't even know what it's like, you just see Scania and all the other is shit. Mercedes is not weak, this is also spread by people like you. Merc has one of the most comfortable cabins too, the only problem is that the cabin wobbles a lot on bad roads. The look doesn't matter. I really like it. If you don't like it then you have a bad taste.

11.5 max at drive axle, 7.5 at steer, or 10.5 at drive and 8.5 at steer. although the scale in my truck says 6.5 tons at drive and 8.2 tons at steer without a trailer behind, so i think my scale is way off, as it showed today a total weight of 56 tons, when my papers said load weight of 17.8 tons, plus the truck and trailer it would be around 36 to 38 tons, and it also did not feel al 56 tons total weight

Here if u breakdown on highway, or bridges(bridges are "owned" by the higway service u can either call rijkswaterstaat number or 112 and theylll put a x on the lane next to u if needed for safety or put a speed restriction and rijkswaterstaat will respond and be ur "safety" vehicle wich is basically there to take impact for dumb frick who dont pay attenition or cops will cme running lights n siren and wait for rijkswaterstaat to come to relive them so they can go back into service

They help people identify you at range, pick you out among other traffic, which is important when your vehicle has differing characteristics to regular road traffic

Like, if I didn’t have my orange lights on top, people would be roaring up to me at sixty and suddenly braking when they found I was only capable of forty

As it is, people can see my oranges and they know I’m not a regular hgv and so they’re a bit more cautious

I also believe that whilst that may be true, the more lights I have, the better my chances and the harder it’ll be for opposing counsel to argue the other guy couldn’t have seen me

I've heard of tow truck drivers being hit while working outside their trucks with beacons on. I've watched a video of a car passing not one but two special transport vans equipped with "wide load" signs and beacons that are visible from any direction and then the wide load trailer that stopped on the side of the road because the car didn't do anything when going past the vans.

Completely, I agree that no safety system is foolproof and that no amount of lights will stop everyone, but as long as there’s enough mitigation that a reasonable person acting reasonably will stop and take notice, that’s good enough for me

As a person who does osow I have so many bright flashing lights on my truck but I know that the only reason I put them on there is one because I like shiny flashy things and two because both the dot and my customers like them

I had something similar happen to me.. Around 4am I was going 90kph on A1 in Serbia and i was doing a route i usually do so at first didn't put on navigation so I could get out of the depot faster .. when I got to the straight part of the highway I looked infront I saw nothing and then I went to turn on the navigation on my phone ( I am 21 yrs old so Delta was right about young people and phones 😁 ) , thankfully I was driving a new Mercedes and it had active brake assist. A car with really bad back lights driving slower than me appeared and the truck stopped on its own. My question is who would be at fault? 🤔 We didn't collide
