i had that with my last van
garage near our company the "main" one
its just a sensor we replaced it
one week later on the highway lost all power
the converter just shot apparently
Clean curtains 🥰🥰🥰🥰

Someone filled up a little to much

mcdonalds!!!!!
Yes, same industrial area
where 👀
lol! perfectly middle aswell. hes sponsored by them surely
😂
Drachten-A7
Got enough points to eat for free at least twice
haha nice 😂 whats your go to selection? 😄
Double big tasty menu large
sounds nice, actually have to go to micy ds again sometimes, i usually opt for bk or avoid them, allthough both of their nuggets are always a safe yes
Its pretty good, the 20 piece nuggets of mc is pretty good too
yea mc nuggets are always a safe reliable bet
True
Mcdonalds everywhere👐👐👐
He's a McDriver
Yesss
Substitute while my streamline is being worked on
First time I drive an S series
The cab size is nuts compared to anything
Whats the brand of the crane?
I normally only use Fassi and Palfinger
Thats a Fassi 710
Which also normally uses a L214 Flyjib.
nice rig
Yep! Scania 540 XT
I believe we also have a Scania 620 V8 sitting around awaiting a crane to be placed on it... Laws in our country only permits a certain weight on each axle and they got a Fassi 820 for it but its slightly too heavy for the weight our law permits
In my country the pay is pretty good for them.
Yeah I mean they do pay a livable wage but compared to my job (international driving) it's like 40-50% less
And I'm used to a higher wage
So would require some adjusting
One day for sure when I'm more settled
Its mostly a pretty stable 7-16 job here
Yeah.
I enjoy working a lot though also, keeps my life in balance 😅
Thats the main thing! Gotta enjoy what you do!
nice
well ofcourse
but like alot of that 40/50% difference is probably extra pay for food sleeping in truck etc im geussing
i always loved the look of the xt's im planning to make a 1:14 one soon of one perhaps lol
I got a Volvo FH RC tow truck I’m still building haha
very nice
i may buy that kit soon depends
currently working on a 4x2 scania and next project is a xt tow truck possibly :D
Yeah for me it's hourly extra by like 5euros + sleeping in truck
More paid for pulling a trailer
- experience years, also some personal stuff
But I mean u do trade off all life at home
Which I don't have right now so
¯_(ツ)_/¯
yeah
benefit if u live alone
grind truck live in it if u dont mind depending on company etc
get some more money
I also don't have my own home so I save a ridiculous amount there
and then when u setlle can use that money
oh yeah u must be saving like 1500-2000 a month then
probably more depending how u spend money on food
Nah more like 600-1000
Its just rent
And some other stuff
I pay for my own food etc
u dont get food money?
Oh no I meant at home
I get like 63 euros if I sleep in a foreign country and around 30 if I sleep in my own country
but he lives like on the other side of country so he goes home on wednesday with a full trailer and then goes home on weekend ofc
For each night
aint it meant to be the same no matter if home country or not
because your meant to be able to pay for breakfast lunch and dinner technically + a shower
Idk other countries but for our union wages it's that
60 something per day spent sleeping outside your own country
This includes the food etc
But it's not like u spend that much per food daily lol
definetly not
especially if u invest some money
into a little propane burner
and try to burn food / meal prep at home
not burn
meant cook
For sure, if u wanna go that route but I just live off of protein bars and ready made meals usually because I'm too lazy
i mean that works too
Those bars are expensive asf though
theres plenty of ready meals that arent too pricey and still healthy
my goal is once i get my license and am free of that company
to see if i want to go long distance
i kinda want to drive to scotland/ ireland or finland etc
Tbh, I wish I would have stayed at my first job which was van deliveries, it didnt pay as good ofc but I got used to it and it was easy + 8 hour days And had a life outside
Now I'm so used to this life I feel weird and unsettled once I get home
It kind of makes me depressed even when I get home
Ah well I drove for a big government company so hours were heavily regulated
yeah
thats the benefit of government
theyll hire enough people
rather then pay overtime
Unget also benefits etc
oh yeah for sure
Always choose gov companies if u can
alltough depending where you live theres rules on what companies must give you
only real trucking i know of here for government is internal mail maybe
and thats by vans
thats the only thing ive seen
Mmmm yeah, I mean everyone is required to do certain things here but 90% do hoops around the laws
might be interesting perhaps to join the police in their transport division or firefighters
the police have a tow devision too
wich kinda interests me
Like i don't get paid anything for night, or evening
Or anything for that matter lol
I just get hourly stable + the daily bonus for staying elsewhere
arent u meant to be paid like a certain amount of % of your hourly normally
for the time off in truck
lol
The only government owned transport company here is Posti
No, once my work ends etc it's free time
yeah but your still bound to be with your truck 99% of the time
so u have "free" time
That's basically what the 60/30 extra per day is for kinsa
Yup
that is meant to be for food
No u don't get paid for that here
i would never work if they dont pay my food
like paying my own lunch now normal
but if im staying in a truck for company working for u u can give me food money
even if i mealprep and save most of it lol
They pay for hotel if u have to stay elsewhere for the weekend
Because they'd get In trouble legally if they refused to
But like, this is the truth of trucking
cant spend that in cab in most places
A lot do
Lots of ppl in our company do that because they live so far that there's no point going home
So they live in the truck most of the time
And (as far as I know) they don't get paid for it loo
here the trucker takes the truck home
Lol
Oh that's not possible with my job because we start south Finland and end here 99% of the time because ferries leave and go here
and the only others who take trucks / trailer home are the charters
However I live 20km away from our base at south and I still am not "allowed" to take my truck home
I just leave my truck at the local Posti terminal. Surveillance plus gates
Yup
Truck driving in general just sucks ass
Like realistically speaking, if u get a trailer license
U have no Life after that
I still got a life
- U get paid nothing because no hours or 2. If u want to be paid something you work hours
Or if you want to do night shift ur days are ruined (for me because I cannot stand night shift only schedules) even then, the average day is 10-14 hours, and if I get one day off to compensate that I just sleep most of it
and i earn around 2400 minimum
I work 10.5 hour shifts (16:30-3:00) 4/5 days a week and I'm enjoying every bit of it
Idk I have a love hate relationship with it but mostly I just wish I completed my electrician school
Lmao
Yeh well I quit school early stages so I'd have to redo years of studying, and I can't afford that
Education is free in Finland. How can't you afford something that's literally free?
skill issue
Kela?
didnt u say u have no rent cost
Just work at your local McDonald's while studying
I pay rent but not as much
hesburger better
Facts.
I could still do truck driving on the side obviously I wouldn't settle for less
But it's one of those things where I'm fine 90% of the time
I'm not gonna make big life decisions because of that 10%
I enjoy this for now, as I said before once I get settled etc I'll go for a 7-16 hiab or something job locally
I think that's my endgame
Or maybe I'll be stuck driving Scandinavia like all the other geezers
Personally I wouldn't even consider going back to morning shifts
My ADHD does not like me spending early day at home before work
I am literally unable to live life
So I need to go work as soon as I wake up
Get it over with
Meanwhile I needed like 30 alarms to wake up when I was at my old job doing morning shifts
i dont need 30 alarms
i mean i do
but for work i just dont ignore it
i think if i had a choice id love night work
I used to drive groceries/dairy etc, woke up at 1-2am for 3 years
I was literally dreaming about 5-6 am mornings
Ugh
Graveyard shifts are brutal
I was so sleep deprived
atleast the customers cant complain
Yea people's bodies work differently, best natural schedule for me would probably be 10-11am onwards
They can't complain to me now either. I never meet them
Postirunko FTW
Nope
I just change the trailer and container
i was like u know
u want me on a dock? fine
but that means im putting my gate underneith and just not opening the side door

I used to do that for schenker
Holy shit it is boring
I mean it's the same kinda now for driving Scandinavia Schenker but just longer distance 😅
I'm not allowed to touch anything usually
Today they didn't load almost anything to my trailer and nothing on my container in Vantaa. When I was about to leave, I just went by the office to grab a empty load sheet for the container. The person at the office was like "Why didn't you load anything?", i just said "Not my job, don't complain to me about it"
Sounds like everything's working as intended
No one has a a clue about anything as usual
I left 20 minutes after schedule so they had time to load
Our company also has I think majority trucks running between posti seinäjoki > Oulu - Jyväskylä - vantaa
Also done some runs myself between Vantaa/Helsinki and seinäjoki
Effer
Slt?
Probably
Ayo nice Rowan congratulations
Thanksssssss
You can start at our company right away 😄
Im already at a amazing company.
Concrete everywhere 😮💨
u driving this or
full c+e now?
C
Yes we got C trucks
Ya sometimes they also go to assen etc
i mean itll teach u how to maneuvre in tight spots early
but mainly around the havi depot
so i geuss if im in the amersfoort region i shall flash every havi truck with no trailer

Yes
Nah
gotta wait a few years :)
Its still real life trucking. No matter If im driving it or someone else from my family
read the channel banner
its still Real Life Trucking.
your not driving it tho
you're*
- It does not say that you need to be the driver to post pictures of a truck :)
the fact it says share pictures of YOUR TRUCK should be the hint
aka you must either own it or be the operator of that

- my dad drove it, so why should I not be allowed to post it here?
because it litterally says so in the channel rules
there is still no point in aguring it does not change anything does it?
ohh that message, I didn't see that mb
Sorry for being on mobile 💀

What these people have said
well I'd know it when you would've called it chat description, but my bad :)
should I just move the pics to #photos
Oh hello Moderator

would be appreciated
Alright :D

could be longer
True. But I transport what I'm given.
You repeating what you’ve heard before?
hey now friendly fire isnt nice
And that was another night done, now time for some sleep
Driving with the lowrider tonight
Just looks stupid xD
I’m working for Delisle since October 2021
I’m waiting the next generation of Mercedes incoming in 2024
this year we received 250 new trucks
Mercedes MP5 450, Scania 460R, DAF XF and XG 480, Renault T Evo 480
I like Mercedes but we have some Scania 460R now
That’s not a Scania
That’s a freak of nature missing the spoiler kit
Also lacking the extra high beams like what
I mean yeah ofc
Didnt u have one for a while
There is no need for it in the tank because it will add weight and generate overconsumption of diesel
We don't need additional lights, we are driving during the day. This makes it possible to have a cheaper truck and better pay its drivers.
No
That's not fully true, the spoiler kit does barely weigh anything and it would also help direct the winds away from the tank basically, causing the vehicle to be more aerodynamic and thus lowering the fuel consumption
With tank trailers a spoiler set can increase fuel consumption, with the distance betweem the cab and trailer, the air will be come trapped inside the spoilers causing drag, and without spoilers that drag will be taken away
And with the round model of the tank there is nothing for the spoilers to guide are around
That looks like the most ghetto version Scania I've ever seen
Does it have bus seats inside as well, with old model gauges
I guess at least u have the chrome rims
Which I want
Alcoa is lighter than steel, so weight savings, more load
Yeah if they're real
More often than not they're just put on top
For the looks
Idk what the material is called but ye
Those look like real alcoa, or atleast polished alu rims
A alcoa is around 20 to 25 kg, a steel is between 35 to 45 kg depending on tire width
Yeah, but they're expensive af so people just get polished on top of steel for the looks
Since the weight is so minimal for 99% of loads
For some companies it can be having a full load, or driving on 95% can be a big difference
I’d say simple science says that the wind will try and get in right behind the truck in this case and therefore hit the front wall of the tank on the widest spot.
A proper spoiler set delivered from factory from Scania would not really increase any fuel consumption as it follows the cab design just extends it slightly causing the air that would in this case sneak in behind the truck to instead follow the lines of the tank
Ye but I'm a box pleb so I don't have to focus on weight ever
maybe for bulk drivers since they can weight it up to the 10s
Unless u do groupage or something and u can add 1 or 2 more boxes
Or a lot of other drivers actually, but yeah I mean I don't know if nowadays price politics allow you to gain more money than you lost on less weighing wheels except in maybe 10 years 😂
Well, think a little different, you have a bulk company, running 10 trucks, you saved some weight on those trucks and trailers so they each can hold 1000 kg more, those 10 trucks do each 2 trips a day, that a total of 20 tons they haulled more, that almost 1 full trailer, that means you have 1 truck a day less on the road, if you habe 100 trucks, you have 10 trucks less on the road, if you than do the math, its a no brainer for a company to have a light truck, it saves 200k in buying 1 truck plus the fuel plus taxes, insurance and driver pay, its a massive chunk of money
Lets say a normal truck can hold 24 tons, and you know can do 25 tons, thats a big increase in what you can haul, and also what you can save in a year, with 1 truck its not a big difference, but when talkin about a fleet, its a lot
Lights are nice, but if it has no lights, and boss man doesn't want lights, well its his truck.
My truck has lights because my boss also want his people to have a good work enviroment and wants people to be happy, but if he decided to not allow it, well, its his choice
I switched to evening shifts Saturday
And was sunday off
And now just helping the shift leader of the loading crew
With docking trucks and closing the doors.
When you are in a whatsapp group of night drivers, then you have suddenly 10 live locations going on, now its only 10, but sometimes its 20
Ah
Hahaha
If im ever doing night i need in
Need to flashy flashy at nice trucks lmao
This is a group off about 30 people, most are driving either for DHL, DPD, Postnl, and carparts, so do different types of work depending kn times, an we indeed share locations to see where someone else is driving so we can do flashy flashy, and overal have fun
Its not easy to get in, this is a pretty close friend group
Ah
Stuck in traffic?
Just some roadwork
Not to bad then
I'm not on the A16
A27
I'm A27 Lexmond, came from Zwolle
Left there 1.5 hours ago
Just got onto the A15
Yep, i've always been the other way
Towards? Nijmegen or
Roosendaal, so Rotterdam
Then taking the N3 and then A16, A17
I take my 45 im Roosendaal
Ah
If u were close to take it and did it at n3 at the parking at a15 ramp
Id have drove to u
Cuz thts close to me
I'm 3 km from the N3
Ah
And the Mc on the A16 N3
So
Ur going to a15 still right
Cuz itll take u like 10 mins to cross
To get to the a15 part
I'm.now exiting
I'm not really stopping although i could for a few.minutes on the A16 before the bridge
Moerdijkbrug
Ah yeah no too far
On the N3 now
Another time
Will.let you know tommorow when o enter the A15
Alright
Thats a 15 min to the N3
I am on the a15 side
So alblasserdam/ nieuw lekkerland side
Botersloot parking is where id go to then try spot u i geuss haha
Id needa know what way u come so im on the right spot
I could take the N214 tommorow
I can take this road
https://maps.app.goo.gl/PzrYGkvkgwnL7STW7
Is this doable for you
Yeah that is doable for me next time
Id be on that road either ways
That roundabout is where i usually turn off towards de krom
So ud be comming from the dordrecht side usually then to there right
Because i dont think ud be able to stop there with your truck if thats the case
Because its not really suitable for trucks to turn off if ur going towards gorinchem
The fuelstation is easy for me to reack, i'm coming from the A27/Gorichem side, going towards Dordrecht, on my way back to Drachtem thats gona be tight indeeed
Would be the same time as today tomorrow
Would u be able tos top tho or just pass trough towards gorinchem
Or are u comming from there cuz im confused rn xD
I'm able to stop there, i'm comming from Zwolle to Roosendaal, and then i go back to Drachten, and on my way from Zwolle to Roosendaal i can stop there, on the A27 i can take exit Meerkerk and drive via the N214 to Dordrecht N3
Ah yea then u can stop ther
Should i dm my phone number so u can call when your like 20 ish mins out
So i can be there in time
Sure
Awesome
U can take exit 21 too it was i think on the a15
Not sure what is easier i forgot wich one exactly
Alltough traffic is probably not a issue so
Is for me a longer way around, since i'm already on the A27 comming from Utrecht, so taking the A15 and then exiting is a lot longer, and the route i take if driven that before if the A15 is closed
Ah yea
I always forget when theres a jam and im on a27 heading back
What exit it is on a15 to go paralel basicly
But i geuss i can indeed go off waaay sooner
Just take exit Meerkerk on the A27, and you are directly on the N214
Because around gorinchem the junction area its always a clusterload of bs when its around 4 pm
Oo i shall try remember that
Imma put some drinks in the fridge i brought home from scotland if ill remember i shall bring u a can
Sounds good
Redlight district
@formal minnow Stalker
@formal minnow Sent you a message
Search function on discord
I saw

Didnt know u could search for mentions
You can search for a lot
Rowan
If u are at mcdonalds at alblasserdam or dordrecht n3 when u get ce let me know
And i come stalk again

If i dont have work cuz u are also night shift mainly
Ah
@lucid birch maybe i stalk you one day at A7 Drachten
I wil knippie knippie to you
Let me know if you have to go there, or the one in Dokkum
I would knippie to you but i never know where u will go
Ir me

Just knippie knippie to all Havi trucks
Yes
One time you will have the right one
Haha i should
Just hard to tell ppl say to me
If a van dkes it
Specially since im usually left lane so they may think i tell ppl to move
Alltough i think my van has markings now ill show it on Monday
Then if u see those u know to knippie
People know to knippie to me because of my lights
Ye
Yours stand out so easy
But thats i think because your double burners are lower then usual
- yellow trailer stand out even more
And i have green light boxes
Since when
Ooo those
I tought with way u said it it be in your boxes on top
I saw quite a few trucks in scotland wich had green leds on the front
Green lights in highbeams too when it normally be a white or orange
U cant do that here bcuz cops will destroy you
I gona order some yellow leds for in the skylights soon too, and might buy a set of yellow headlights too
Nice
I still need to buy for my car xenon headlamp
And yellow fogs / drl
It is legal to go trough apk with yellow right?
Fully legal, yellow is a allowed collor
Maybe by end of next year ill have changed my car for bigger smth cuz my hobby
If so its getting full “truckstyle”
Full yellow beacons
Trainhorn if i can find the space xD
But both your headlights and fogs need to be yellow, also your highbeams
My contract us extended
And it should be as trucker
Unless cuz i had vacation they decided to screw me over and change it but
If not i should be starting as soon as one of the 2 new drivers gets ce
As we only have 3 c trucks and one is permanently on his so
Officially they have to be yellow then too, or your fogs white
Right
Maybe ill buy cheap cheap yellows for apk
Will see
Unless i can buy led yellows so i dont lose much visibility wise
I was thinking of led too, but i can egt lights pretty cheap
I have a company acount at my local car parts shop, they also over 24v lights etc, so i can buy them a lot cheaper therez mostly for a 25 to 35% discount over normal price
Oh wow
I need discount xD
Im a dutchie i want cheaper
Im sure 24v wont work in cars tho would it
It saved me a few over the years, i think around 2500 euro
I mean
Especially if they sell stuff for trucks etc loght wise
Itll be a massive difference so fast
Nice
I got no clue wich lights id need to get for my car
I only need my license plate or the plate from the car i'm working on, and i can order what i need, its pretty easy when you are a hobby mechanic too, have my own shoplift, compressed air, and tons of tools.
Although they sell 24v lights, and also relais etc, they don't do things like brakes or other large stuff for trucks, cause they are a company thats specialized in cars, but companies they supply sometimes to light work on trucks or on vans that use the 24v system
Ye
49-zvn-5 do they tel u what lights are available for this by chance
When u have skme time to check ofc
Timingbelt change no problem, clutch worn, i can replace it, fuelpump bad, no problem, the only thing i can't do is tires, cause those machines are way to expensive for me to afford
I need to visit them today, need to order some oil and a oil filter for my own car, so no problem, will ask them, its most likely H7, as thats the most common
H4 afaik
Must be nice
I hope to someday have some space to work on cars
And just learn as i go
I have a 180m2 shed to work on cars, my Scania is there also stored
I went to school for it
I have a full kitchen, toilet, office space, 240v normal and 380v shop power, solarpanels, 5 meter wide and 4 meter high door, aircompressor, 2 collum car lift, a second floor with storage and another office, full led lights
Bassicly a full workshop
Nice
Thats good
I didnt
Only one way to learn
Just take it apart and try to remember how it goes back lol
But yeah having a full shop basicly must be amazing
Ill talk to u later tho imma go sleep
Its not always thats easy, especially on newer cars, lots of things have to be torqued to spec, or they will leak/fail,
Gotta do groceries shopping tmrw
Yeah
Id hate working on new new cars
All the stupid electronics etc
Have a good night
Ty
I actually enjoy working on electronics, love to run cables for hooking up lights etc
Nice
If id live closerby id ask u to show me how lol
Because mine are hooked up but i want it done “properly” via fusebox etc but eh
Its got its own fuse my lightbar itll be fineee
Just needa replace the cable or hook it into my headlight unit some point
Well, its a 2.5 to 3 hour drive for you
Yea thats why i said if id live closer haha
@formal minnow
Meet and greet, was nice meeting you
Will open it in Roosendaal when i take my 30 minutes
enjoy it
Will do
hopefully someday knippie knippie when im in a truck aswell ❤️
Only time will tell
if i go into containers i will be able to do night
ah somehow my dashcam didnt capture when we left
wait it did

How, just how
See posts, photos and more on Facebook.
😂
thats what i wonder too
maybe extreme wind gusts?
as it was really stormy in italy
its also a frigo
so strong wind + maybe load still hanging on one side
alltough the doors are closed of trailer still possible tho perhaps idk
Hydraulic line broke from the rear lift. Lovely stuff
I had that happen to me while at a customer once with the lift more than half way down and it started pissing out oil as a hose burst, fully loaded trailer so couldn't unload and I couldn't get the lift up since it was leaking basically just emptying all the oil if I tried to move it.
Luckily mine was still pretty up. Called my boss, he told me to drive to Volvo which was 2.2km away. So I did. They told me to drive to VAK which was pretty much across the road where the line broke. So I drove to VAK for them to tell that they can give me a time for Monday. Changed it in their parking lot in 5 minutes

lmao
thats why my company just calls the dealer
in the hopes of not needing to go back and forth
Nicee
Yes 2 days
Avarge Hungarian weekend.
Do you drive any of those?
the first one
ah bit late
as in i didnt see xd
ur working im geussing or
I'm only going to the Uittocht
average volvo

yeah im going next year lol
nice
What does
So low with such massive trailer
Welcome to the UK
Nice
Ive had companies offer soda as a different thing if i dont want coffee/ thea cuz i dont drink it
Today i got offered icecream
We were unloading our truck and then a guy wanted to unload his van to another company that was right next to us and he couldn't fit in there because of us. I said to him that he should wait till we unload our cargo which would take 20-30 minutes, I guess he was not listening to me so he tried to fit in there and then this happened.. We firstly couldn't open the driver doors because of it but then we tried to push a little harder to open it and it did. Tomorrow she is going to service
So do you drive that?
well not me but my godfather
oh yeah, sorry
Ha dude be lacking nick and PF so I legit thought it was Capri that posted that
why
im not white plate bandito
Why you ask? Because of the reasons I stated in that message duuuhhhh
Now yes, didn’t before
Yes
I gof Amsterdam tomorrow
City central
I leave amsterdam around 9am ish
Only got 3 adresses
Then once back at the company i got 3 more
I be in Amsterdam around 6:30
Finally some music in the rear of the cab
Nice
I need that climate controle
I got the semi auto climate controle(ATC) and it works like shit 😅
Volvo is already 2 and a half week busy with painting 8 wheel hubs 🥸
Truck is only 8 months late as we speak 😮💨
Its a pretty good system, i has the AC and night heater both build in, only thing i don't like about it is that when i have it set on defrost i can not control the temp, it sets it on high, can't set it lower than
Did anyone take part in the Dutch truck festival?
Tipical ovlov
I got this
Been to the Uittocht, the moment all trucks do exit the racetrack towards home
Also not a bad system
There's a Stania in China.
Yes, if seen the pictures
If it would work as it’s suppose to
Had the same system in my 2008 cf, always worked great
Apparently the rumors are they just shipped to poland and drove from there
Instead of from china lol
My new 860
Better pic
nice
I'm not a ovlov fan, but i wish you many save miles with it
i saw a old volvo vnl monday
4x2
didnt take pics cuz driving but i really like them
just think if theyre in full us spec its useless anywhere but america but theyre made for there ofc
untill u go into the city lol
Was it a VNL or a NH, the NH does use the FH cab with a first gen VNL nose
yeah i see this one sometimes
tbf for tank transport thats fine
as they almost never really need to reverse as its avoided lol
Got them finaly mounted how i want them, i might make some better speaker boxes soon, but for now👌👌👌👂👂👂👂
nice
Ty
Only real issue I encounter on any volvo that i drove was the air dryer not working or leaking to the point that I get put out of service
One of the reasons i don't like ovlov, have got enough experience with them
I love volvo. It's the truck brand I've experienced least issues in.
Wow beautiful
The Far-Far-away price was for the Chinese truck
That’s a nice one 🤌🏼
I’ll take one plz
Also nights are getting darker now again
I still have the 760 I just have a driver in it now
I can be your new driver, fire the other one
Depends, how many yrs of experience
13, 10 of those in arctic conditions
I’m not a fan of these tight docks
can u even get a wheelchock in this
if your all parked next to eachother lol
Sadly not got mine yet
geuss your just on whatever truck is not used atm and is needed
Waiting...
Why would we even need that?
cuz forklifts etc
here they will destroy your booty if you park on a dock
and dont put a chock on lol
Exactly
i geuss u have alot of diversity if your doing tipper one day small containers the other etc
You know here we’re not lazy and load our trucks on our own
We only chock the trailers if we leave them for a longer period of time
Interesting
Most companys here refuse to let u load/ unload
Even if your using a hand pump cart to unload urself lol
We use forklifts or whatever and never chock
#scania #truck #truckdriver #ets2
Going from Belgrade to Zrenjanin to pick up a load of tiles
i hope u atleast have ac etc
Yep
They're very strict towards foreign drivers in some places here, I've seen 3 LT/LV trucks so far drive out of a dock while a forklift is driving inside god knows why, 2 of those cases the forklift fell between the trailer and the dock so they don't load unless they're sitting next to them on the dock and/or have their keys. This isn't usually a problem with Scandinavian drivers for some reason 🤷♂️ we also load our own stuff and the truck doesn't leave the dock untill the dock is off the trailer
At this point I'd rather believe the chocks are there for stupid people as opposed to brake failure, which is almost impossible at a stand still
And no, it's not a silly mistake it's pure stupidity to not make sure the dock is off your trailer / even worse reason is to be lazy
ofcourse
i think also required here because at some companies your trailer just doesnt sit level with the dock
so if you drive in hard enough with a forklift the truck could still move
ive never put on a chock yet in my van when im on a dock
and they just load unload me usually with one of em fancy ride on pump cars
and havent moved at all
wich says alot cuz the handbrakes on mercedes vans are absolute dog 💩
At the DHL yards its mandatory, and they have a lot of older trailer, some are from the mid 90's, and some have a old brake system, where you manually need to apply the parkingbrake on those trailers, or trailers when the airtanks are empty are not braked. Had enough time when i hooked up a trailer and i wanted to do the tug test, it just drove of with me, and the chocks blocking it from going all the way
to be fair
alot of those trailers are parked aint they
no trucks connected
More yellow lights, ordered yellow ones they where more orange thsn yellow, seller was a prick, so made my own yellow lights
nice
Yes, in one night i have atleast 4 different trailers it
Wanna see the 760 before I send it out?
Time for weekend
The DAF 3300/3600 ATI, the top of the line in its era, a CF is about the same size as this old truck, and a XG plus is about twice its size, trucks have evolved a lot the last 40 years
Another day, another load 🚛

I bought a gopro and some extra's to mount it.
so will start filming my work aswell soon.
nice
i wanna do the same when i get my truck license lol
its just so relaxing to watch
:D

Nicee
is that your truck?
Prob not but looks cool
basically same wheels as the truck im driving in ets2
Actually I’m pretty sure Brad is the driver of that one.
Probably the cleanest volvo truck i have seen
i beg to differ
i live in uk
the trucks here are boring as
they are ususally white box trucks
just plain white
with a bunch of rust
Here we go again 🚛

Today we are driving our Scania truck from Kać to Novi Bečej to pick up a load of tiles. We are going off main city roads and on the countryside roads. They are a bit narrower, bumpier but for me much more enjoyable to drive, less traffic and scenery is prettier :)
Route - https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Keramika+Jovanović+Novi+Sad+-+Ka%C...
Dunno about you guys but every time I go under a marked low bridge I get shivers down my spine
that looks like cornwall
How the hell did you guess that hahaha
2 minutes up the hill from Tamar Bridge to be exact actually
idk looks pretty flat
where im from its really hilly
im not even from england lol
always wanted to go there
Thats why u figure out what ur height is
Only bridges i slow is old narrow
No I know what my height is and I always look for signs, it’s still just unnerving sometimes
Got my gopro soon some cool trucking pov videos!
Then my videos wont get deleted here for using my phone while driving 😂
In the first 2 years i had the same, but now after 7.5 years of driving, i don't worry about it, it always will fit, and if it doesn't fit, than there is a sign missing
And in mainland europe you never will exceed 4 meters, and most viaducts and tunnesl are between 4.25 and 4.75 meter of height
Only oversize loads can be higher
I really want to get into heavy haulage I won’t lie, big bucks too but they’re probably the rarest jobs at least here in the UK, but man you really own the road when you have more axles than horsepower
Even in a 4x2 you can do oversize
I have a dream of travelling to the states and hauling NASCAR for a year or two before coming back, imagine having that on a resume in the UK haha
Would be nice, but for most company's they don't really care about that, the most important for a company is how well you can drive, and without damage
No clue at all how I’ll be able to do that but it’s a dream nonetheless
Ehhhh yes and no, depends on the job you’re applying for
Some companies look for experience, some look for specific experience and some look for credible sources. My dream is to get into motorsports again and travel
Tbf
Just do car transport
In summer youll probs be doing rallies/motorsport
Just build contacts with those clients u figure are in motorsport lol
Most look at experience in the job you apply for, for example like me, i'm an experienced night time driver, with more than 1m km damage free, if i now would look for international work, even though i have 7.5 years experience, it will be harder to find a job than if i would apply for a job as night driver
So that would make sense but I live literally in motorsport valley in the UK and surprisingly there’s more motorsport vacancies than there are car transporter jobs out there
I applied for truck driver at williams racing
But got denied because i have no trailer license
It was a position for truck driver + logistics and a bit of catering once at the race track.
haha
tbf if u get ce just try again
how long will u be stuck at havi? because u got your license there @lucid birch
1 year?
Im not stuck at havi
I can leave when ever i want
Just have to pay a small amount of money.
Not much.
im geussing like 1k or something
because they got the rest via government
thats a good deal to be fair
because plenty of companys still want u to stay months
or years
but yea if id get a chance to work for a racing team id hop on it instantly
i dont mind if it means i needa help cook or something lol

Swapped the small yellow lights in the skylights for larger ones, love the yellow/green look
niceeee
Today we are driving our Scania truck from Novi Bečej to Zrenjanin to unload tiles that we went for in our last video. We remain on countryside roads all the way to the city of Zrenjanin, my hometown ❤
At the moment, here we have beer days event ( https://danipiva.rs/ @danipiva506 ), to translate it roughly. Its basically 6 days of partying and...
I will never understand this there are 100 traffic signs of truck not being allowed on the left 3 lanes once the next exit comes.
because 2 highways turn into one otherwise u end up on the second lane from the left.
so u have to drive next to the highway to later merge into the correct lane (right lane)
and your back on the same highway
Thats the A1 Amsterdam going towards Amersfoort
Yes
Where the A9 merges into the A1
Yes, but they won't ticked you, since they are only to monitor traffic
Oh but still so many signs of trucks not allowed on those lanes
So I don’t want to risk getting a ticket
Can understand that
This was me yesterday, being able to open the side of it really saved us/me from a lot of hassle 🙏🏼
Poor truck
Oh yeah the seat was ripped in it too, cuz I actually was the one driving both yesterday 😬
No forklift?
Why would I need a forklift?
Yeah I'm confused by that comment actually
Easier
So how is it easy to load over pallets then when that lift gate is angled like a ramp

You lower the tail lift and put it against your floor of the trailer causing it to be level with the trailer cuz the tail lift can actually tilt and move up and down you know
Then why aint it level in that pic
