As you may have noticed, ProMods TGS is taking longer than usual to be released this time around. Since I am the Lead Developer for that project, I felt like you all deserved an explanation as to why things are taking so long.

I am responsible for conducting beta testing phases for TGS, therefore I’m the one who needs to pack beta versions and supervise things. I did not have the time to do that recently as I have been preoccupied with moving out to another country and starting a new job (at SCS Software, as a matter of fact), and therefore could not find the time to finalize the project.

Luckily though, everything went smoothly, and I’m finally settled down and ready to get back to working on it in the coming days.

On behalf of the ProMods Team, I want to thank you all for the amazing support and patience shown towards TGS recently. I had no idea so many people were now finally interested in it, as I have worked so hard to get it in the spotlight, and that makes me and the rest of the team really happy.

To follow up with my previous message, unfortunately we have made the decision to delay TGS 1.5.0 to ETS2 patch 1.57. This has been decided after careful consideration by our team, and we thought it would be best to delay it for now so we can properly release the huge amount of new content coming in that update in the best way possible, to ensure our high quality work does not get affected by it.

That being said, we will be releasing a compatibility update over the weekend, TGS 1.4.1, so everyone can still play it in ETS2 1.56.

I am really sorry for this, but mistakes happen sometimes, and we miscalculated some variants. I hope you guys understand, and we will now use this time to properly prepare TGS 1.5.0 in the best way possible.

You can use the same profile and saves, however... If you change to the normal servers it changes the data back, this can in some cases corrupt save data so it is advisable to have 2 or more profiles. I only have the 1

Truckyapp still works the same, I use it for clipping.

I got ATS first as well to game with friends in America, I never liked the idea of ETS2 for a long time and found a personal friend that lives local on ATS and got euro truck as well, got almost 2k hours between both games now

You can pay for a fast download with all files in one but it is only for the server cost of the higher sized file. Technically it is still a free mod or you can get all 13 parts that takes just over an hour to complete

Best wait until you have the DLC first before doing that as there might be changes made due to updates

Hey, I've ran into an issue. I've been playing promods for a while and now I want to go back on sim 1 because some of my friends don't have promods. How do I make sure that my savefile doesn't get corrupted by the different maps? I've read that some people create a different profile. Additionally, do I need to disable the mods before joining sim 1, because I've also read that the mods only load when you join an actual promods server.

It's best to have a different profile for promods than a standard game.

The mods will be automatically disabled when swapping from Promods to sim 1

As long as ProMods does not require NH you don't need it. Once they require it, you need to buy it in order to use ProMods Europe.
Usually they don't support new DLCs directly so you have a bit time until they'll add it as a requirement I believe 🙂

There aren't really many well known areas that can be expanded on, Spain could have the 2 islands to the east, Greece maybe a few more islands added but that would be a far cry for way into the future. Hopefully once ETS2 has a big enough expansion some of team can swap over to working ATS.

If there are lots of additional work to add it can take weeks or longer, this one seems like it doesn't have any or much at all so the base PM files can be added quickly, the addon files may take a bit longer so they might wait until some more can be included

There was an update not too long ago where they just delayed everything they were working on and added a different version in so people could play sooner, this one may not require anything to change it could work straight away at release. I have been at work and doing family stuff after so I haven't checked out all the channels they have for anyone asking similar that I can pass on here.

I very much doubt they will do that though as they aren't money hungry as other people that mod ETS2 and ATS are
