i think he meant overall, the wagon did come 5th overall, ahead of all the M4 GT3s
and also clocked the fastest lap among BMW cars
Just so amazed it ended up on the pace at all
What a delight
Iconic April fools joke I love it so much I hope they keep racing it

https://x.com/rbr_daily/status/2057729342218686865?s=46 @pale tinsel team is eternally thankful for the second place trophy
Imagine Mercedes being in favor and Ferrari not
what a good hatewatch
god bless
@pale tinsel we are so barrack
You folks have no idea how much I've missed our F1 yappings
Russel and Antonelli were going at each other like Rosberg and Hamilton back then
MINIII
HELLOOOOO! MARIO! HOW YOU DOING
im doing great, even better now actually
more worried about how you are lol
Hehehe, sorry to make you worried
Thankfully things seem to be on the up
Internet is connected once more, the war seems to finally be ending, and I am so happy to finally be back
The war experience was rathrr scary, I wouldn't wish it on anyone
i am sure im definitely sure
I am glad you understand
I am so happy that it is over though
Now I can once again chat about F1 with you guys
And I gotta say, I've been liking 2026 so far
Not sure what we call this new era of cars, but I am really liking how much closer the racing has become
Mercedes is fastest obviously, but there's generally a higher element of unpredictability
I really like their designs too, they are as small as 2012 cars
i like how they look, and im loving that kimi is giving the belt to russel
the rest im not fully vibing with
but thats okay because lemans is approaching and im so incredibly hype for that
hehehe
True enough
There's definitely alot of kinks to be worked out
And it is indeed crazy that Kimi in his 2nd season is already whipping up Russel pretty badly
This certainly isn't what Russel signed up for
Will say, following F1 during internet lockdown was a hassle, so it was entertainment if nothing else
Helloooo! I am glad to be back myself
Thank you so much
I figured you'd be happy to know you didn't miss any of my GT7 F1 races
I kinda lost interest since you were one of the main people showing interest in the series
Hehe, your work always was nice to behold
I will hopefully see more of it soon once more
MINI RETURNS!!!
might be a lil mean but i honestly missed you and mini bickering about electric cars all the time 🤣
And we have a new main character FOR that bickering
YESSS!
Hehehe, you'll definitely find less of that nowadays
oh? A main character you saya? What you mean
The electric Ferrari 🤣
Ferrari has made an Electric car?
I have been away for so long I've not heard or seen anything about it
oh dont worry, it only got announced yesterday
Ahhh, so I ain't too late
You might have seen the news about Gianpiero Lambiase leaving Red Bull recently, further adding to speculation that Max Verstappen might be leaving F1, as it's yet another key part of the Red Bull operation that has left, along with the others such as Marshall, Newey and Courtenay.
But in the 1990s, key members of Benetton left that team and th...
THis was an interesting watch, and it sparked some ideas within me
Like the video said, some components in F1 just work better with each other, especially when they're all successful components
So if GP is going to McLaren, could Max also go there realistically? Doesn't seem entirely unlikely
Red Bull have been eyeing Oscar since before 2022, and Max isn't working so well with Red Bull anymore now that all the pieces he had grown used to are no longer there
What I fear however personally is that Max will become another case like Ricciardo if he makes that move
Where he isn't as favored as Lando, and he just cannot come to grips with the cars that McLaren make
Ricciardo struggled from the way the Renaults and Red Bulls handled to the way the McLarens handled, and Ricciardo and Max have very similar aggressive driving styles
Realistically we can only have a WDC for Max at McLaren if McLaren, much like Ferrari back then, does everything to tailor the car and team to Max
Cause I think we can agree that Lando is not on Max' level
i think mclaren has an issue of "too many talented drivers" on their roster
it seems unlikely that zac brown would want to even further tangle things up
max and daniel are agressive on corner entry but as far as car setup goes theyve always been night and day, max is also more adaptable, you have to remember that max stepped in from a totally different torro rosso to redbull and was decently keeping up with daniel, when the team started tailoring to max daniel was slowly falling behind more and more
thats not to say i dont love daniel, before max i was rooting for him, and before him i was rooting for seb
i rooted for daniel at mclaren too, he did not struggle as much as people make it out to be with their car. That team was actively trying to fuck him over to get him gone the moment they realized lando was actually good
also about this ^ who do you think mclaren is tailoring to, because i mean now lando and oscar are pretty much equal race pace on track, and last year noone was favored. Lando and Oscar also drive quite differently from one another. The point is, if you were to put a max verstappen or a hamilton or a leclerc in a mclaren, with their current environment against lets say norris, the one winning would be the best driver
that being said i think its impossible for max to leave redbull right now for any team, unless its a sabbatical from f1 entirely so he can fuck off and do NLS and WEC
redbull right now has: 1) promise with the car if it shaves off the few final kilos of weight, 2) not a terrible engine, 3) a Lemans offer with ford on the table for 2027, 4) they let him do any other discipline racing on free weekends as he wants
That is true, they do already have an issue on that front
With even a legal case to back it up
True enough, Max was more adaptable than Ricciardo. I didn't know their setups were that different however
What makes you and some people say that though? How was he actively screwed over
if you look at race strategies and how he would qualify well but always fall back in the race, that man went through the 7 circles of hell at mclaren
yes he was washed in the teams after mclaren, but during his mclaren stint that team broke him
Yeah I guess those options are more likely
mentally
Well in every scenario of a world champion, the car was tailored to them, and Lando proved the better driver over Oscar throughout 2025
Of course, it's not like every team operates the same as every other team
yeah but only cause oscar forgot how to drive during the second half of the season
Some teams favor oen driver whilst some favor both
Both of which can lead to problems of different kinds
so could you argue the car was tailored to none, or did lando win with a car not tailored to him
I still have no idea what happened to Oscar there
Yeah I guess whatever way you look at it, lando won in a car and a team not specifically tailored to him
A very shakey win, but a win nonetheless
some times every few years a team appears that they are dominant enough that they dont have to favor anyone
mclaren last year, mercedes '16 and this year
lets not kid ourselves theres no way suddenly in 2016 mercedes favored rosberg right?
That is true enough, but at times a team needs their star driver to succeed
Who knows, maybe Ferrari wouldn't have had their dominant early 2000s period without Schumacher
In sptie of having a fantastic car and team
Yeah with Mercedes I can believe that they didn't favor anyone
Well, aside from Hamilton over Valtteri
Which I guess made sense since Valtteri clearly was the worse driver
the redbull philosophy would be that if mclaren lets say were to favor 100% lando and 0% piastri or vice versa, then lando would be 30 seconds ahead and clear every race, and piastri would still secure enough points for the constructor's championship
But damn, it was a brutal period for a number 2 driver
Yeah I guess Red Bull's philosophy is very different to McLaren and Mercedes
They have a generational talent of a driver, whilst others just have very Good drivers
So they make sure that talent isn't spared any expenses
Whilst those other teams just make sure both drivers get the same craft and race pace
It may also explain why Red Bull since Webber hasn't had a stable team relationship with drivers constantly coming and going and there always being a clearly better driver
Vettel over Webber, Ricciardo over Vettel, Max over Ricciardo, Albon, Gasly, Perez, Lawson, Tsunoda and now Hadjar
Though Hadjar's performance does seem to match Max the best out of most of the teammates he's had
I once asked AI about this actually, and it said that Red Bull's current status might be experiencing a change considering the very different staff that work there compared to the many years they've been in the sport
New TP, new staff, new designers, no Marko in sight
Might be becoming a more balanced team like McLaren or Mercedes
https://x.com/liamdutton/status/2059580396170363303?s=20 the #evil team is cooking... @pale tinsel
Jesus christ mate
Nah, The active aero is only in the regs to looks cool. There isnt a competitive element to them, so it really wont have an effect on monaco
I mean the straight mode thing
The aeros activate regardless of distance
It's the amount of ERS power you get when you have straight mode
since Monaco doesn't have any valid overtaking place, a straight mode is just garantueed to cause a crash
Hence why they don't allow it at all in this race, at least for this season
Given what happened to Ollie at Japan, the power deficit between a car in normal mode and a car in overtake+straight mode is very huge
So a crash is inevitable, especially on a circuit where driving normally is a challenge, let alone driving competitively
I do wonder however if the considerable size decrease will at least let the drivers overtake more easily
Oh there will be chaos
They've also massively altered the way the motor stuff works
@granite tangle consult the graph. Could make a corner exit mistake a BIGGER punishment
The 350kW drop off beginfs far earlier, if more shallow, than usual
This will punish a bad exist more harshly than it has been so far
Hmm, good thing that they're constantly changing and evolving the new regulations
The green graphs there are Monaco exclusive
But it's fun that it's flexible
This will make for INCREDIBLE comparisons with Formula E and Formula 2 qualifying by next autumn
No doubt
it'll be interesting to see
Also, rmemebe rhow people memed that these F1 new gen cars may be at times slower than F2?
Well it just so happens that the Aston Martin has actually lapped slower than the slowest F2 car of the day before's race
Like jesus christ, i don't know if Aston can pull themselves out of this hole they're in quickly enough
They have alot of money, so they have alot higher of a ceiling than say Williams or Haas
But their current car really requires some work
Let's see if Cadillac or Aston can get an honest Good Result first this year
For sure man, for sure
Both seem likely for at least one good result
Cadillac is doing everything right, they're just so inexperienced so they're inherently on the backfoot
And Aston has infintie money glitch so they can money pit their way into a good result at some point
Monaco could very well be the place for them, given even slow cars go fast around there
So if they do a good qualifying, they could be in the points
After 200kmh they’ll limit the power on cars for the race
Might as well watch the formation lap and close it
It’s gonna be a parade anyway
@granite tangle the graph is fascinating though. Could be better than last year. Could be just as bad, it's Monaco
The First Woman is back First Womaning by finishing First
Congrats
A bit of a shame
Woman'ing lol
FIRST WOMAN
UNBREAL
Very breal
hehehe
@granite tangle @glacial pine Did you know that in 2010, in spite of having reacquired the team from BMW, peter Sauber didn't actually change the team's name from BMW Sauber F1 Team
So the 2010 car was still called "BMW Sauber" in spite of not having a single BMW component or even sticker on it
From 2011 onwards they corrected this error and the team became established as Sauber F1 Team
Ah sauber you beautiful nightmare
Hehehehe
Indeed, a nightmare of a team
So many identities
And especially for a team who is relatively young considering it's a team from the yee old days
Some things change.
Monza T1 is eternal and transcendent
Hahaha! Look at it!
Now that's what a proper Monza T1 lookslike

Thats actually realy cool
Hey, f1 mocie music
Thanks alot. It must have been a bit worrying
Thankfully I can ag least Talk here again
Guess this site doesn't embed
great, now the car can look.... like that, whilst being dead last
May i just mention the fact that this team hasn't had a proper special livery since the Aston Martin rebrand
And the one time they make a drastic change, they are dead last in terms of performance
What a waste
Does anyone get the idea behind this livery? Why the bronze nose and fade?
i think it originally was full copper, but its broken all the time so the copper oxidized from it sitting for so long
The longest contract on the grid, as per The Race.
'Charles Leclerc has committed himself to Formula 1's current longest driver contract with a new deal at Ferrari that is expected to keep him there beyond 2030.'
[✍️ The Race]
Pffft! Hahaha!
Oooof mate
I get that any F1 seat is better than no F1 seat
But he was already stuck to his contract with Ferrari until 2029
Why extend it further mate
Why with them
he's trully gonna become an even worse case than Jean Alesi
Whilst his peers all have championships, he's got nothing
Breaking the Monaco Curse is nothing apparently
monaco is a race like any other on the calendar
he's had a win capable car twice in his career and still has less to show for than even Alonso's ferrari tenure in inarguable their worst years ever
you cannot debate that charles even if he's an amazing driver, does not have enough career accolades in f1 to show for it compared to his peers
Hahaha
Brilliant man
Honestly, I think Charles is quite overrated
Maybe it's because we have no other margin of him in any other team to compare his performance to
But I just don't get the hype around him
Whether if it's due to his own inadequcies or the cars always letting him down, he should have achieved much much more
Alonso reached basically driving perfection in 2010 and 2012, fighting at the front with a very much no top of the line car
people were saying that charles would completely demolish this version of hamilton
Charles.. never did that
he's always been very much behind, even more so when the car is bad
which hamilton has not been in his prime since like 2022-2023
but charles just
isnt
doing that
Indeed, and we truly have yet to witness this
I think Charles is kind of just done
With F1 as a whole I mean
Not just Ferrari
he's no longer got that drive
charles or lewis
cause charles cant be done and sign the biggest contract extension ever
Let's be real
Charles is a money whore
He's more busy posing for pictures than practicing for races
So I don't think he extended the deal to actually honor it
lewis is at ferrari to rake in the amazing feeling of having the most passionate fans root for you
and being a ferrari driver as your legacy
as long as he wins a few races until he's done its going to be a good memory no matter what
charles has so much to prove
Indeed, he had many years to do
But his best moments argubaly came from when he wasn't in Ferrari
I swear, he should have stayed at Sauber or something
With his kind of sponsor money, it could have been a better direction
that could not happen
his sponsor money comes from him being the literal "chosen one" of ferrari and monaco
the chosen one cant be in a sauber
That's quite true
the problem is
Sadly that's the main problem with his situation
His talent would be better spent at literally any other team
But he would never have the kind of backing he does if he goes to any other team
the chosen one has not yet delivered what he "has been destined to do"
aka bring back a championship to ferrari and be a monagnesque world champion
i dont exactly blame him for that, its not even once in a generation that you see a "chosen one" live up to his expectations
but i also dont get the feeling bad for him part
if he was just a better driver than max and sainz in 2022 he would be world champion
I hate this "chosen one" notion in the first place
There never is a chosen one in F1, we've always seen this
Whether if you're a winner or a runner up, it's always only happens if the driver and team actually operate like a well oiled machine
Regardless of nationality or whatever sad made-up backstory you wanna tell the world so they cheer you on
Lewis, Alonso, Jenson, Vettel, Max, they never had this kind of notion, and it showed in their craft and work instead
Charles has no craft, he has no technique
he's slightly better than average driver stuck in a team that can never quite reach the top
He's like Felipe Massa
he's not THAT good, and he never has a good enough car to push for it
Charles has never even been a fucking runner up in a championship
nah hes better than a massa but he isnt as world class as people would like you to think
That's kind of embaressing
like if charles really really cared to show he is the best he'd either swap teams or go do it in other disciplines
Exactly, he's somewhere between Massa and Alosno, and maybe onpar with Raikkonen in his later years
FERRARI HAS THE BEST HYPERCAR PROGRAMME IN THE WORLD.
Taht's frankly what hurts it most
why is he not doing lemans?
He has had so many chances by this point
he should have taken at least one of them
Ferrari in F1 clearly isn't ever going back to the Schumacher era
the 296 was also the best GT3 car in the world for 2023-2025 arguably
he didnt even test it
Really? oh my god, that's jyst way too embaressing
ngl, you seen the reveal trailer for the Luce with hamilton and Charles?
I lost any respect for Charles when he got involved with that
yeah i hate it
Hamilton has already proven himself
But Charles hasn't, so why is he even involved
He should be busting his balls trying to drag a Ferrari into Q3, not be posing for promotional shots
He's no Schumacher, that's for sure
i lost interest in off f1 things hamilton related ever since he sold off the whole hamilton collection and started dating that kardashian
yeah that wasn't great
Felt very ill timed too
It feels kind of unfair to hit Charles whilst he's already at the lowest point of his frankly pathetic career
But I feel like regardless of the level of performance of the cars he drives, he should have done way better
It's why I deem Sainz a better driver than him
Stats tell Charles a better driver, but Sainz has always had better heroics at any team he's been with
And it shows even still at Williams, which is supposed to be the 3rd slowest car and yet he's now consistently in the points with it
