All you suggest works In technical terms, but FIA didn't make these changes with an actual engineer of thr sport to see whether if its sustainable for the racing

Adding more and more layers of strategy can cause masses of confusion to both the team and the drivers

It's a complex enough sport as it is

And the cars physically are alot more able than they used to be for wheel to wheel racing

Now its a matter of perfecting the Gen 15 formula for next uears
Every new regulation has teething problem on the first year, so we have to see whether if they actually learn this time

If we go through Honda's comments in the Japanese media it's clear that the supplier is not going to just sit there and have a repeat of what happened with McLaren..

They had planned for this, facilities were prepared, deals had already gone through

And from what we can at least say with some confidence, Aston didn't force Honda into a corner with a body design that was difficult to design for inherently like McLaren did

Of course, this is what we know for now. Some further information will come out in the future, but as it stands, it's really difficult to stand for this sort of problem solving

I think much like 2026 as a whole for F1, 2026 will be a testing year at best for Aston to pull their shit together for 2027

If they do their jobs well, they might finish in the mid-field in terms of points by the end of 2026

But 2027 will definitely be the year for the partnership to truly start flourshing
Of course, it's not like anyone likes waiting a whole year for something to start working out

If we wanna be technical about it, Honda joining up with Red Bull didn't bring immediate results either

I think this is clipping patterns. RB up in the last sector and lots of braking zones. There's maybe more to gain by sacrificing entry speeds for the exits, and looking at how Max has outperformed people on track over the years, I just don't think that's something he's focused on.

Gasly has also done a bit of Formula E racing, and took to it immediately, so he probably knows how to make this sort of trade off work.

The races are probably going to hinge on getting a good enough exit at T14, to avoid using any battery until the exit of 16, to get a good enough blocking position through 2,3,7-10 to make a breakaway down the straight.
