I've recently become obsessed with this song in particular from Ride the Cyclone.
It's just got a lot of themes that resonate with my worldview, and I LOVE how it's arranged.
I think it's my favorite musical. There are so many out there, but I enjoyed myself so much when I went a couple weeks ago

I was driven by circumstances to search up and listen to the song Rio, by Duran Duran today. Its not really a weird song, but for some reason it stands out as being weirder than I remembered it being. Probably helps that I don''t remember ever hearing it in full, only the chorus and maybe some of the verses

Does anyone know about the technicalities of music that can help me with something? Because I'm not trusting online tools for it because its given me a bit of contradictory information with what could actually be options.

Essentially, I'm trying to make a list of waltzes that fulfill the criteria for the 26/27 Rhythm Dance, but because the Golden Waltz has the criteria of a Viennese Waltz, which means its twice as fast, its been super difficult to find ones that have the right BPM, even if you'd think they could work. And some that were written as Viennese Waltzes in teh first place aren't showing up as the right BPM, which is what makes me distrust this entire thing.

For a while now, I've had the song Great Vacation, by the band Dirt Poor Robins, on my primary shuffle playlist, thanks to the fact Spotify played it for me way back when I used it. I'm finally listening to more of their stuff, and their first album opens with a cover of Eleanor Rigby. It feels immediately much worse than the original, I think I'll skip ahead to what seems to be a three part concept album (Which, looking closer, is actually the soundtrack to a musical, apparently? So, basically a concept album, kinda. Also, act 3 and act 2 have the same tracklist aside from part 3 ending on a reprise of the song that act 2 ends on, and the first song is a little bit different between them). But that's nearly a two-hour experience so in fact I think I will put this on the backburner and put it on next time I need a soundtrack to a long, simple task. I remember doing puzzles was a really good way to keep my hands occupied while listening to music...

Okay further research tells me Tidal just screwed up regarding that whole album (The Raven Locks). It lists act 2 as a part of act 1, then lists act 3 as both a separate album, and as act 2 of the first album

(Isaac Wood was the frontman for a reasonably popular band called black country, new road a few years ago, he quit music upon release of their second album due to the depression he had, among other things, from the anxieties and pressure of being the face of a band)

(This has been literally the first peep out of him in 4 years since he quit, no public appearances, no releases, no anything)
