I saw the start of Parra for Cuva, then went to see POS for a while until going back to CRi

The start sounded cool, how was the rest?

Romain tore it up before him and then Parra came in and killed it, we were living on that dance floor for the whole set

oh yeah Romain was awesome, I only left Empire for POS for like an hour and a half

Another couple was telling us Parra for Cuva almost never plays live and they had come just to see a rare performance

I got to see POS at weekender last year and had multiple friends tiping me off I had to be at Parra

I think weekender was some of his earliest sets as POS too

But seriously that dance floor had some gravity that kept us from leaving the whole time haha

Lots of people were complaining that the food was good but the portion sizes were lacking, and yeah I kind of agree but I enjoyed meeting people more than the food lol

Although the main catch of the day fish was fantastic

I just don't think Albania is there infrastructure-wise. They were running most of the festival off generators because the power grid couldn't even handle it.

One of the things they mentioned at the #planet meetup was that their goal is to have free water across the festival, but unfortunately the infrastructure to support such a thing is not available in Dhermi yet

I know they want water stations to cut down on plastic waste

So until that is in place they have to continue selling safe water

My cab driver told me there is "one town" in albania where people drink the water

They do work with government reps to try and push it but ultimately Mainstage may not exactly have the sway to make that kind of change

(for the record I'd be very surprised if they went this route, but thought it was an interesting concept to think about)

I know what you mean I felt that too deep down (pun intended) but they have had the classic trance bouncey sessions to split it up a little before now, but his year seemed to be pushing the boundries a little more with what felt like AnjunaTechno creeping in in most places or maybe it was just the sound systems being overly bass heavy 😇

Jumping in to say I'd prefer more chiller, deeper sets than we had this year. The more Anjunabeats it gets, the less appealing it becomes to me. More Reflections sets would get my vote. I wouldn't mind some really chill liquid dnb too

The yacht club provides a great place for less deep sets

I realise we can't live in the past, but the 2019 line up was phenomenal and I got to see artists that don't seem to appear at most deep events

also I was not prepped for gjipe when this guy helped me off the boat and i had goddamn sneakers on and got hit by a wave. put off my soaked shoes and tried walking down that beach but that was also pretty painful 🤣 first-timer mistake I guess, thought we would get to the beach safely and not make us get off the boat at what still felt like we were way back on the water lmao

Yeah there was soft sand at least where they land the boat, I think going barefoot till you're on/off the boat is probably the best bet

I seriously regretted the Birkenstock style sandals I wore, they basically scooped up rocks for me to step on

My first club show back home after Explorations (Eli & Fur) and I'm immediately reminded of how much Explorations has ruined club shows for me 😂 I miss having the space the dance, and the good vibes all around as opposed to having people around who just want to go clubbing and get fucked up

from experience at indoors events in NL, you can find plenty of room to dance even way up front, it's just a hassle to get through the crowd and find that spot 🫠 although I wouldn't exactly call those places clubs, they're huuuge venues so I guess people are able to spread out more anyway. Yacht club was pretty packed at times but if you wanted to get more room, the back or sides at the tables were great to chill at

Yeah we don't really have those kids of larger venues here in Vancouver Canada. Or we do but there's rarely electronic shows put on there nowadays. It's mostly used for like indie or rock bands now.

oof where I live we got plenty of small clubs for the indie and smaller artists, but then we have something like Docks which holds up to 1.5k people at once with a few seating corners around the side and a balcony on top which gives you a moment to rest if needed

curious tho, do random club-goers end up at those shows? don't think it's really a thing here unless you still get tickets at the door. Haven't really experienced that at all so although ticket sales will get the place close to full capacity, there won't be "strangers" spontaneously filling up the place by buying tickets at the entrance
