Seems all the Zweilous head sprites have double heads, with a few exceptions which add the wings to differentiate it from Deino heads
Since Litwick's body is basically all head you could have Zweiwit be two Deiwit
Or a single Deiwit but with two flames (as Zweilous heads also have two "ears" and the Deino head has just one)

If I make a sprite that the bot deems NSFW, but it isn't NSFW (as far as I can tell), is there someone on the Discord server who can override the bot and post the image to the gallery for me? I was able to get around it for a sprite that was getting flagged by posting it in my personal discord server and then putting the link here. It embedded the image no problem.
While looking for feedback i just put a white background behind the sprite instead of leaving the transparency and it thought that was acceptable

from how I remember it being explained, its because light bounces off surfaces, and it's essentially the light source from the top-left bouncing off the ground and thus giving a little bit of light towards the bottom part? Its typically only for super smooth/shiny surfaces, like voltorb.
The shinier an object is, however, you might consider making the reflected light in the shadows start to count. Just add a little bit of the base color as if it were highlighting coming from the opposite direction from the real light. For instance, look at this Voltorb sprite from Diamond and Pearl:

hmm nothing specific but my advice would be to make a sprite out of 2 pokemon that have a very simple design, so you can concentrate on the basics of spriting

Their sprites have had approval. If the individuals return and make three total, they'll be able to post them to the gallery.
The current rule is that you can't post someone else's sprite to the gallery to stop people posting sprites from either banned members or members who had their spriter roles removed. I guess it doesn't really apply in this instance, though.

Very carefully? You can copy the files from the game and modify them to look like whatever characters (allows you to make them line up right), then to add them to the game you need to make sure they have the correct file names. I made a Mewtwo trainer mod which can be found in the complete spritepack, and it can give you an idea of how to set it up.

First, not a #is-my-sprite-ready question. But, you can find the latest sprite packs in #announcements . Modern mode affects the encounters and whatnot, it doesn't affect the Pokemon Sprites. You can find the download for the Modern Mode Patch also in announcements.

Yes and no to some of this. Depending on version of if determines which files get called (there is some redundancy), but modding can be done.

In the Complete sprite pack you can find Trainer sprites for Mewtwo that I made. They'll give you an idea of how to make the trainer sprite files for the main Red character. (Armored Mewtwo not a required replacement, just did it for fun). Just remember to scale down so the sprites are at 1x1 pixel size (most I think are resize by half, but I forget).

the shading section of the guidelines is super lackluster, i rewrote it a little:
The light source on Pokémon battle sprites is always in the top left and in front of the Pokémon. This means highlights are in the top left, and that shadows are in the bottom right of almost every part of a sprite.
The amount of shading and shape of the shadows has a big impact on the perceived form and depth of the sprite, so it's important to get those right. Usually, the original sprites of the Pokémon you are fusing are a good reference for that.
Body parts that are on top or in front of other parts also cast a shadow on the parts that are under or behind them, so don't forget to add those when you add new features to a base. Tails and feet will often be largely shaded in because of this, for example.
