@fossil oak There's a ton wrong with your fusion. It has transparency issues, there's half pixels, and the name and dex numbers are backwards: it looks more like a Typhlosion/Bellossom fusion rather than Bellossom/Typhlosion.

Hey @limpid holly! Are you trying to add more custom sprites to your game? You can find the most up to date sprite pack containing all custom sprites in #downloads! To add them to your game, simply copy all the files into your game's CustomBattlers folder. The pack also contains alts and things such as joke sprites and regional variants, which you can also add to your game if you wish.

You can swap between alts of a given fusion in-game, using the Pokédex!

New sprites are added monthly, and are divided by months, and you'll usually tell when new sprites are added when sprite packs are revealed in #announcements. All the sprites made in april, for example, are released in the april sprite pack; all the sprites being made this month will be released in the may sprite pack, etc.

Anyone here use photoshop? I'm having a problem where it'll occasionally just delete an entire row of pixels when I resize. It doesn't just leave an empty row, it puts the top and bottom parts back together so I don't realize it's missing until I notice my outlines are ruined. It's driving me insane.

I made this sprite of Electivire/Farfetch'd, but whenever i try and export it it gets this grainy texture that messes up the colours. Making it bigger solves the grain, but then comes the issue of how to properly downscale the image without causing bleed/losing quality. Any ideas on how to fix an issue like this?

For me I use Paint.net, and on the resize window there’s a little drop-down menu, I click ‘nearest neighbor’ as the setting and that improved the quality wildly

Hello everyone! I'm a newbie here playing through IF for the first time and the autogenerated sprites are starting to scratch my old itch for fusions. I've read through the entirety of the FAQ and despite having what is basically beginner's knowledge since I was 12 doing shit with mspaint I was wondering if there were any important general tips you could give me, be them for beginners or not. general question though, I am very much not an artist and making a fangame rn (planing on using gen5 style) I have heard with pixel art it is best to start small and work up.
is it a good idea to try to make maybe gen1-2 sprites first for practice then update those to gen3 before going to make gen5

Hey @languid gale! Are you trying to add more custom sprites to your game? You can find the most up to date sprite pack containing all custom sprites in #downloads! To add them to your game, simply copy all the files into your game's CustomBattlers folder. The pack also contains alts and things such as joke sprites and regional variants, which you can also add to your game if you wish.

You can swap between alts of a given fusion in-game, using the Pokédex!
