Legacy issue from reddit really, no QA is no Quality Assurance. Which is more the management process for things. It should be no QC, no quality control. Given it's skipping the usual process and hasn't gone through quality control (peer review, etc)

Are you using an application that's made for pixel art / has pixel brushes? One thing that can get tricky working super tiny is that a lot of standard brushes will give you "fuzz"
It's definitely rough to get used to but I promise it gets easier with practice! It might be easier to start with cutting together existing sprites if that would help you get the hang of it!
