Nice top 3! It was great seeing all those sprites re-imagined into the gen 2 style. The Lugia/Feraligatr was definitely my favorite. It was very cleanly sprited and suited the gen 2 style extremely well.. That style seems very tricky to sprite in tbh, everyone did way better than I ever would lmao. My other favorite was the Gengar/Mr Mime, the use of black combined with the purple outlines to define shape.. It looked excellent to me. I also very much liked the Happiny/Snorlax and Typhlosion/Lugia.

Any plans of doing a non-gen 2 style version of that fusion @zenith matrix? Would be neat to see the reverse happen of most of the entries- that is, having a sprite originally made in gen 2's style be reworked to gen 5's heh.

Wow, now that was the closest a contest was ever been wasnt it? i dont have to add much to the who deserves what and yada yada, there were a lot of good sprites, but i greatly appreciate those who voted for my gater anyway 🤗
and the winners choice award (thats a thing now, at least when i win, because im a arrogant prick and cause there was no other announced yet, was there?) goes to @misty acorn for his clefable/steelix, whilst it was a remade of an older sprite of his, imo it utilized the style extremely well and was overall an absolute perfect sprite
