btw the diverse events being pop is a kinda recent thing, before we had only contests and few rushes

all the other events was just unofficial stuff, with time these diverse events was being more and more popular then we had the idea of turn some of the events into ofc stuff and let they share it in event announcements(it was when the mime jr role was created)

things like sprite royale, sfx/txt awards and spritedoku was the first ones to debut on there and with time and more events being ofc the event announcements had:
-contests announcements
-contests results
-diverse events announcements
-diverse events results

we already had contest-gallery, like since long way ago, since we only had contests as a way to compete, but with the flood of messages on event-announcements we had the idea of creatina a new channel when we can only find the results for the diverse events

that stopped the flood so people can read better the stuff on ev-announcements and keeped stuff organizated

at first frog thought that events and contests should share the same channel on the results cuz in their opinion it was like the same thing, probably for that event results have that description, but ofc we all know that contests are way more popular than the others when we think about how much effort people put on their entries and how many entries we have when comparing

so basically is that contests have their own spot cuz it stand out but diverse events have their own spot too cuz it is important too
