Rain. That's all you've seen & heard for the past hour. Stuck within this tunnel, you sit in a silent remembrance: reminiscing about watching your friends catch their Pokémon, soon to become their friends & partners. You always wished you’d had your own. Oh! And what about that time you met a Pokémon Ranger? They were so cool!! They used their capture styler to help calm a Kingdra nearby in Blackthorn. Your parents had taken you there for your birthday, that day was so–
🌩️ KRAC-KOM 🌩️
The sudden noise catches you off-guard—it's enough to make you jump. Unfortunately, the smooth stone floor combined with the pounding rain makes for a terrible slipping hazard. Your stomach lurches as you fall backwards… down, down, down into a deep crevice.
-Crknch-
Blinding hot pain shoots through your leg as you land on solid (and… dry?) stone, and a resounding crack echoes around the cave, followed by your pained shout. And then… silence. You lay dazed for what seems like an eternity before your mind clears enough to realize you're stuck—and your leg is broken.
Grimacing through the pain, you start patting your pockets in search of your phone... only to find it in pieces.
Fantastic.
Well, surely you've got something else in your supplies that can help, right? You've brought everything you could think of!
You "brought some Pokéballs, Full Restores, DNA splicers, spare clothes..."
"...revives in case of emergency..."
But there was one item you neglected, the one item that would help you in this real emergency, only forgotten because "you didn't have time."
An Escape Rope, you didn’t bring an Escape Rope.
Alongside the pain, panic now begins to set in. You're stuck, with no phone and no Pokémon. Certainly no Pokémon Ranger to come save you, and no Escape Rope to get out of this mess yourself. Plain n' simple: No. Way. Out.
Your journey seems to have been cut short—after all—you're In Too Deep.
This is it, the finale of this lil' series, of which names I will now reveal Going, Going, Gone.
The finale is simple. It's simply titled "In Too Deep"
