I don't think I'll ever understand how to use dithering

Dithering works almost like a midtone that also gives a bit of texture, so I'd recommend using it mostly along the bottom right curves of each fluff ball, almost like how you'd use aa. So maybe something like this?

@sly shuttle's Jumpluff/Doduo is a great example of how to use it for Jumpluff style fuzzballs, but the basic principles should still work for other sprites too
