Wouldn't the feedback be focused on whether or not it still works as a fusion regardless of if you get the fusion or not, rather than if they get the reference or not? Cuz like, it's always best that even someone who doesn't get the reference still thinks the fusion is fitting and well-done, so the feedback would be more focused on if/why the fusion doesn't work, or how the reference gets in the way of the fusion, or something, rather than whether or not the reference is understood, right?

"The reference gets in the way of the fusion" is a problem that often accompanies "It doesn't look like a fusion of A and B", but you can absolutely have sprites that make you go "this is for sure a reference because these certain details aren't on either Pokemon, I don't know what it's a reference to, but it works as a fusion of A and B anyways." It means it's important to clarify "doesn't look like A + B" instead of going "ew references I don't get" if your actual issue is "doesn't look like A + B".

which would be a tough turn around on an application nowadays, but not impossible. I'd recommend getting very thorough feedback in #1050404143807873157 before doing the application.
Because, although sprite managers will give you feedback until your sprites are good enough, the feedback cycle will be far slower than if you appeal to the broader community for help, and you probably won't get approved before the 20th if the sprite managers are your only point of contact

Wdym? The pokemon that gets in? No the pick would be by line. If you mean sprites for bonus vote power then yes. Each new individual pokemon added gives more vote power if you make a fusion for it. So since we're at 10 new mons in the blitz. You can get a max bonus vote power of 10 if you make 10 sprites, each with a different blitz mon. (That's how I understand it anyways)

Currently Oriocori is the first Pokémon that has form changes that are set as unique sprites. Which they basically did by just making them each a unique dex entry. It was stated in that revelation ||(see what I did there?)|| that this could mean ALL unique forms for ALL existing Pokémon would get unique dex entries to accommodate. Yes but since alternate forms aren't technically cannon in the game yet they're cracking down on using alternate forms for base fusion sprites. This would simply change those to be for other dex entries.
