It's certainly a lot more detailed on the shading than the gen5 style typically is. But I think you'll still get a much better place than in the last contest. Lots of high scoring sprites have detailed shading - so i doubt it's a deal breaker 🙂

Yeah thats basically what it was lol, but there are some other minor changes (layering the part of the head underneath the carapace, horn placement and the tails being thinned zorua tails instead of venipede tails) and some of the higher ranking stuff where also just heads slapped on body same so it made me wonder if there was some other factor i missed, but at the end of the day it was just a quick thing i made when so that if my much more ambitious fusion didn't pan out i would still have a submition so i wasn't expecting it to go far.
