In my experience, I have more crashes in 4.9, catching pokemon and it not showing up on the box, crashing on evolution, etc. 5.0 doesn't require as much saving, so I would say it's more stable in that sense.

Aggron/Vaporeon was the main tank of the team, and perished in the champion fight
Flareon/Whimsicott was my best pokemon by far, able to put everything to sleep and use leech seed
Leafeon/Ninjask sprite by @hardy storm, it had negative defensive utility but ironically was the mvp during the e4, second only to flareon/whimsicott
Mawile/Sylveon did literally nothing in the elite four, it died in one hit
Crobat/Espeon was able to clean up most e4 fights thanks to its high speed (higher than the ninjask fusion smh)
Glaceon/Charizard was my starter, the first time my starter has lived through an IF nuzlocke! Didn't do overly much against the e4, but was able to 1v1 several legendary fusions

in the building to the left of the pokecenter, on the second floor, there is a trashcan with a random fused encounter. the encounter pool of pokemon is rather small, and it contains a diglett/ditto and a kabuto/ditto fusion as possible encounters. I just reset until I get what I want.

Gotta say the the Krookodile/Haxorus fusion is absolutely broken. It's pretty quick and has a massive attack stat. Mine also has Moxie, so Outrage demolishes entire teams.

Metagross/Haxorus was my ace but I didn't use it until the Rival/Champion. Misdreki would've been a great setup poke if it didn't lose prankster on evolving. It was only level 53 so didn't do much for me. Crosol was my sweeper, probably mvp.
