Another Nuzlocke run completed, this time's challenge was that i had to fuse back-to-back encounters and couldn't unfuse.
The squad:
Alex the Gardevoir/Magmortar: Joined the squad post gym 3. I used this fusion before and really like it.
Etna the Haxorus/Marowak: joined the team post gym 7 to replace the one and only death.
Steve the Sceptile/Arbok: fused pre gym 2. i played on normal levelcap so i couldn't get Gunk Shot (off by one level), but solid.
Primer the Primeape/Lycanroc(Midnight): Mankey was my starter. a bit slow and frail at times, but solid attacker with a choice scarf. Hit the clutch Rock Slide against Zapmolcuno.
Luxor the Luxray/Crobat: Fused pre gym 1. Building it around nasty plot and special attacks seemed odd at first, but worked well.
Aurora the Noctowl/Togekiss: fused post gym 3. My HM carrier. rarely got to fight.

The deceased:
Iris the Kingdra/Butterfree: joined pre gym 2. Died to Blaine.

Nidoking/Krookodile (lvl 63): worked as a pretty decent sweeper
Lucario/Omastar (lvl 61): I wanted another special attacker, that's the only reason the lucario is fused with an omastar of all things
Chandelure/Empoleon (lvl 64): ghost steel with flame body, moveset had the worst coverage of my team (only about mid 65s% of type combos were super effective), but high enough special attack that it barely mattered
Luxray/Hawlucha (lvl 61): intimidate was nice, acrobatics was very nice
Granbull/Mamoswine (lvl 66): hits like a truck, while also hitting 86.5% of type combos for super effective (eq, play rough, thunder punch, and fire punch)

Mono Steel run complete, third hall of fame and first time beating the game in remix hard (yes, I know it says "randomized" but the route encounters were Remix, the enemy trainer teams were remix and the items were unchanged... It's only "random" is the save file name).

From left to right:

Nessiosaurus -> Lapras/Bastiodon (by @meager mauve ): It cannot be killed... I tried. With Bastiodon's defenses, Lapras' HP and leftovers equipped this thing is practically immortal.

Jeff -> Klingklang/Gyarados (by @potent stratus ): With massive attack, Jolly nature to out speed almost anything (and shift gear for what it can't) this absolute unit will either kill or flinch opponents to death

Dim Reaper -> Chandelure/Bisharp (by @fluid trellis ): Immunity to fighting and fire is a massive boon for any steel type and on top of that it's an actually solid mixed attacker.

Galatine -> Aegislash/Diancie (by @plucky fractal ): As defensive as a rock, as offensive as the sword that gives her name (Galatine was Sir Gawain's sword) and as cute as a pebble... My starter has it all (and a rocky helmet to kill things without doing anything for good measure)

The Sire -> Metagross/Quagsire (by @yom2): Admire the sire, immunity to water and electric on top of the highest physical attack in the whole team (this thing hits harder than the Gyarados fusion... Let that sink in), this friend shaped fella has carried me on more than one occasion.

Oro -> Alakazam/Lucario (by @tm7724): I needed a good special attacker and this one delivered... Fast, massive coverage and access to Magic Guard to take advantage of the life orb without getting the recoil hit drawback.

If that's too easy then uhhh well there's nothing that's going to be challenging for you.

As someone who struggles with nuzlockes, I'm doing a shiny badge challenge. In a nutshell, you do a shiny hunt before each gym.

I'm also going to set myself to bring shiny pokemon only to the elite 4.

So it's a bit restrictive but not as painful as a nuzlocke

as a nuzlocker I can also throw out a suggestion for what I like to run:

randomizer with trainer randomization set to 10 and wild randomization set to... whatever you want I suppose lol

which helps keep things fresh without going erratic on the difficulty since the lower trainer randomization means that outside of certain fights (Pokemon Tower Rival's gyarados in particular) the difficulty will stay consistent overall. Monotypes are also a nice suggestion as well considering there's 18 types to work with. (19 if you count mono-mono which is only using monotyped mons of any type)

realized during the elite 4 battle, Sable had two ghost types. idk if it is something she would do, but i wasn't intending it. also, during her genceon sweeping through Bounce (random rival name i gave), i kept saying "oh you poor poor thing" because he could not counter water pulse, ice beam, shadow ball, and dark pulse.

Sable is a character i made based on a half dark spirit half human my brain made in a dream i had and the only gym leader she lost to was either brock or misty. i might do another Sable run, but instead of a team who can apply debuffs, it'll be a team she made based on her friends.

Did you talk to someone on the upper floor of the Pokémon Center? There's is an NPC that changes the displayed mode to Randomized. I don't know the purpose of that NPC, but you're not the first to get this unintentionally.

Salamence/Slaking: Unsurprising MVP of the run. Fast, bulky, has Intimidate, and does a train of damage even without a DDance boost. Also has Slack Off because why not
Cradily/Torkoal: A Pokemon that's immune to what would otherwise be a x4 weakness is always fun. Plus Cradily is one of my favorite Pokemon so I had to include a Cradily fusion
Milotic/Dusclops: 76/113/126 bulk with Eviolite and reliable recovery is genuinely disgusting. Water and Ghost STABs + Toxic made sure it wasn't a sitting duck either
Absol/Blaziken: Click Swords Dance, get Speed Boost, punch holes in enemy team. Frail but not frail enough to where it usually couldn't survive at least one hit to set up
Gardevoir/Sceptile: Starter. Psychic/Grass is a pretty horrific typing but I wanted a Grass type that actually had good special attack and speed, and the Grass/Fairy version was notably worse stat-wise for not much gain. Strong and fast with respectable special defense too
Metagross/Mawile: Steel/Fairy is the best typing in the game, and having its STABs boosted by Sheer Force + Life Orb made this thing a nuke. Bullet Punch came in clutch a few times as well

For missing sprites on the 6.6 update, talk to the help man in any Pokémon center and navigate to Advanced Options -> Other -> Reset -> Clear Sprite Cache. Video

This will fix it so you can see custom sprites. Though keep in mind only about half of the game’s fusion combinations are fully sprited. That’s still several hundred thousand custom sprites though.

I found it by fluke! I had Meganium/Aegislash but wanted to try something else and I just fell in love on the spot. Togekiss has been on my team in various forms since the first moment my Togepi hatched, same as my Jolteon from the moment I first got it as Eevee

8th run, 7th monotype (Fire)

Vaporeon/Chandelure: Has Water Absorb and Energy Ball to make Water types cry. STABs + Ice Beam round out the coverage. Hits hard, is bulky and fast enough to outspeed most of the slower stuff
Blaziken/Haxorus: Starter. Swords Dance paired with Speed Boost, insane power and a fantastic STAB combination made this thing a beast. Probably the MVP of the run
Arcanine/Klinklang: Rock-type check and Intimidator. Shift Gear sweeper with STABs + Close Combat. Often didn't work as a Rock check in practice as many Rock types carried Ground coverage but whatever
Magmortar/Electrode: Offensive Water-type check. Coverage monster with STABs + Psychic and Signal Beam. Very fast glass cannon but Flame Body procced so often I didn't really care that it was on the frailer side
Talonflame/Aerodactyl: Ground immunity. Rock Head STAB Flare Blitz + Brave Bird is unsurprisingly really good. Earthquake and (eventually) Swords Dance rounds things out. Often had the same problem as Arcaklang but in the opposite direction (many Ground types carrying Rock coverage)
Togekiss/Volcarona: A demon. Serene Grace Fiery Dance with a guaranteed SpA boost is crazy. Also has 60% SpA drop Moonblast and 40% SpD drop Shadow Ball. Finally it has Quiver Dance in case I think it can get away with setting up

you catch a Pokemon with a hidden ability (Route 3 right after you defeat Brock is perfect for this, if you missed it there's always the Hidden Forest on Route 16), fuse it with the Pokemon you want the hidden ability on (make sure the Pokemon you want the hidden ability on is the head and the Pokemon currently with the hidden ability is the body), reverse and then unfuse
if you did it right the hidden ability should be on the new Pokemon

Froslass/Roserade: Fighting answer #1. Wanted to mess around with Technichan Frost Breath, which despite the kind of middling stats did work well, though it might as well have been 50 accuracy instead of 90 with how often it liked to miss. Also had Water Pulse, Ominous Wind and Magical Leaf, all Technichan-boosted
Glaceon/Jolteon: Steel answer #1. Coverage monster with STAB BoltBeam plus Shadow Ball and Signal Beam (which I don't know if I clicked at all tbh). Fast and powerful, surprisingly good special defense too
Hitmonchan/Weavile: Rock answer #1. Has Iron Fist Drain/Ice/Thunder/Mach Punch. Pretty much the physical counterpoint to Glaceon/Jolteon
Mamoswine/Garchomp: Fire/2nd Rock answer. STAB Earthquake/Icicle Crash, with Stone Edge for coverage and Ice Shard for priority. Strong, decent speed, good physical bulk with Thick Fat
Articuno/Cofagrigus: Fighting answer #2. Very bulky with reliable recovery, leverages that to set up Nasty Plots then hits with STABs (which are surprisingly good neutral coverage). Usually don't like to use legendaries as they're often obtained so late but there's only 11 fully evolved non-legendary Ice types in the game (including winners like Glalie and Delibird) so pickings were slim
Azumarill/Cloyster: 2nd Fire/Steel answer. Physical beast, with insane defense and monstrous attack thanks to Huge Power. Can Shell Smash if it gets a free turn then obliterate things with STABs + Play Rough, though it usually didn't even need to set up

• jirachi/farfetch'd : huge carry on late game, para + flinch is just too strong
• entei/farfetch'd : forgot to give him a good movepool but got some moments on the league too
• espeon/farfetch'd : midgame carry, was a glass cannon, but it just remain the glass now
• heracross/farfetch'd : early game carry, swords dance, roost, brave bird brrrr

Just finished my first playthrough with a randomized (balanced) nuzlocke!

I'll show the team; Dugtrio/Parasect - Had spore, didn't use it too much in the elite four but it was good for spore use.

Ferrothorn/Feraligatr - Good defensive pivot, came with clutch with dragon dance to tank some fights

Luxray/Togekiss - Nasty plot + Moon blast helped take care of two of the elite four fights

Granbull/Aurorus - Physical version of the previous 'mon, did it's job great

Machamp/Palossand - No Guard + Hypnosis + Shore up made this guy the mvp, especially against the rival fight

Ludicolo/Empoleon - good defensive typing, came in clutch when my dragon attackers were low on hp

The fusions didn't look like Charizard was fused with Pidgeot or Ariados was fused with Fearow. Cause the stances made me think of the stances that different Pokemon have made in the past.
