Completed my first Expert Mode run! (After seeing countless others accidentally mark their save files with randomizer, I thought I was immune, but it seems that either even viewing the bright red warning is enough to set the flag or I made some other silly mistake - oh well!)

I picked a team that was higher-BST, but the run was still difficult, especially given that I refused to use healing items in battle. Many thanks to the artists for their excellent sprites:

I had a lot of fun with expert mode - the early/mid game was particularly notable. I thought that the difficulty was dropping off at the end, but it took me quite a few attempts to break through the E4. (Though ||I beat the champion first try - in general, it seemed like a lot of opponents towards the end of the game were held back by counterproductive AI that used healing items at inopportune times, neglected to consistently use their STAB/priority, etc.||)

So, this one was a doozy. I did a no new moves run. This means every mon I got was stuck with the moves I caught them with. As such, I had to replace quite a few mons over the course of my journey through Kanto, including my starter. Oh, I'd also like to note that Lance randomized to dragon, and my E4 team had nothing to take dragons on with. So, uh... That was fun.

I added a twist to my run starting from after the 2nd gym, being that I need to change 3mons from my team before the next gym (it then evolved in having to change the 3oldest mons, preventing to get carried by a single mon that way)

For the elite4, I went with the last team I had, so the 8th gym team and the mvp really was Jirachi/Ferrothorn

Yep. A run goes from start of game, to hall of fame. Whether that’s through the E4, Mt. Silver, or the postgame E4 rematch is up to your discretion

Throw balls, use radar. I hunted them down by going through each route and not moving on till I caught one of everything on the radar, then evolved all the baby forms which helped speed up later routes.
But I was woefully suboptimal I feel

Dear God in heaven this was brutal
Lucario had her fusion swapped twice from Scizor to Flygon and then I finally landed on Volcarona just before the league.
Ampharos/Typhlosion is an absolute beast and I love them.
Absol/Lopunny was a perfect crit machine.
Aurorus/Froslass was a surprisingly amazing combo with essentially three STAB options thanks to Refrigerate
Toxapex/Haxorus is perfect in every way.
Milotic/Gardevoir was the ultimate special tank.

We were playing with the original nuzlocke challenge rules :

• If one of your pokemon faint, you have to release it
• Only the first pokemon of each area can be caught

And we added the Soul Link rule with my friend: We're progressing in the game at the same time, and when we catch a pokemon in an area, these pokemons are linked. Then, if one faint, both are considered dead and have to be released. ^^

Technically not a HoF but I wanna give this team a sendoff. I just beat the Mt. Silver gauntlet (after 3 losses at the end, my God) and Hard Mode is my new favorite way to play this game. Aside from the two legendaries replacing Volcarona and Milotic respectively, this whole team stayed the complete same from the original HoF run that I posted a few days ago. I loved this team and this whole playthrough but I'm also glad it's over because man I need a breather!

Run 10 - Rwby Reference run complete, a run ive wanted to do for a while but couldnt as the Nora (Rhypherior / Ampharos) didnt exists when i first wanted to, so i couldnt get surf

The team, of course consists of the members of Team RWBY itself, Plus Nora from Team JNPR and Neo. Neo, Blake, and Weiss were all surprisingly good sweepers for Special Attack (Neo and Weiss) and Physical Attack (Blake)
