that felt like the bottom of the barrel. no special attacker and almost all of them with with similar weaknesses.
skill link ambipom/heracross killed most of the stuff with its sheer power. Weak Armor Beedrill/Skarmory tried to win via Swords Dance, but its stats were awful, so it could maybe sweep after two sword dances, given it was still alive at that point.

4th playthrough done. Theme was 'cute fusions' since all my other 3 I gravitated towards the cooler side of things.

• Top-left = Wigglytuff/Hitmontop, Sprite by @compact elm - The newest addition to the team, but helped out a ton against the Ice and steel types of the Elite 4, of which there were many more than you would expect thanks to the randomizer going wild.
• Bottom-left = Jumpluff/Lopunny, Sprite by @gleaming bay - Part 1 of the "Support Duo", really high speed with some solid debuff moves to help out the heavy hitters made it pretty nice to have... Although the enemy AI really focused it down so 1 round of it was usually the most I would get.
• Top-middle = Ursaring/Mimikyu, Sprite by @sullen pawn - This little fella with Play Rough dealt with a high majority of fights through the playthrough. one of my heavy hitters.
• Bottom-middle Snorlax/Dragonite, Sprite by Stan (not in server) - An absolute tank that could eat damage like no other. Self healing moves and the classic leftovers let it be an anchor to hold down the team against some of the absolute monsters the Elite 4 had.
• Top-right = Oricorio/Roserade, Sprite by Dani (also not in server) - Part 2 of the "Support Duo", it did really well at the support role, as well as being a powerful bit of speedy damage when there was something it was effective against.
• Bottom-right = Politoed/Gyarados, Sprite by @amber spindle - This one was on my team since the very beginning and was pummeling face whenever I needed it to. Probably could have carried me through the whole run if I wanted it to, but I just kept it in back as a panic button most of the time, my other heavy hitter.

I made like 30 fusions total and swapped the team around a lot over the course of it. But these were the favorites to make it to the end

nuzlocke rules, battles had to be fought in doubles whenever possible and I had to use either fusions involving new pokemon or wonder traded ones (Chandelure/Donphan being the only WT mon that made it, all the way from right after brock as a lampent/phanpy)

shuckle with leech seed + spiky shield is to be feared even in a doubles + no items context. Dude just stayed a constant team carrier even when the last three fights went horribly wrong (agatha's gendoom landing inferno, lance's togenite getting the omniboost from ancientpower, and the rival's nidogeot getting to +3 evasion and +4 attack)

(metagross + gyarados) a strong steel type with one of two weaknesses negated by rain

Umbrasect is a really strong Pokémon in rain, regenerating massive amounts of HP with dry skin in the rain, while healing from your partner's surfs, Parting shot after a spore to set up a sweeper. Tangrotic is a decent rain setter, with regenerator to help justify switching out, but I definitely felt the lack of drizzle/politoed.

16th and last run refighting the elite four without using (pseudo) legendaries or any other pokémon twice. the first fight after 8 badges was way harder than after 16 badges. lance and the rival had so many flying pokémon, which wrecked my team multiple times. also having no real special attacker didn't help at all. politoed/primeape had surf and thunder, but a special attack of 80 is not that good.
so how did this team win? politoed provided rain so absol/parasect could sweep while taking some hit due to dry skin and leech life.
protean kecleon/banette with life orb was on cleanup duty.
hitmontop/ariados was awesome in the early game, but fell off hard around 8 badges.
golduck/granbull could've been awesome in theory, but due to swift swim being broken, it was just a sitting duck 😐

it's been a while since i've picked up this save, but with the new updates i decided i wanted to finish it.
the idea was a Red theme team, using his Mt. Silver team from both HGSS and GSC. since i had a few extra slots, i got creative with fusion choices.
luckily the update didn't change too many of my mon's typings bar Blastlem being ground now and Venuzone needing to be reversed. i turned on level cap for the elite 4, but it turned out to be unneeded given Blue's pokemon levels.

5th playthrough done. Moderate Randomized Mono-fighting type. Fighting types are generally my favorite aesthetically, so I really enjoyed seeing a bunch of different fusions as I went, but these were the ones I liked the most.

• TL = Primeape/Primeape. Sprite by @dreamy lodge. Mankey was what I custom chose as my starter, and when I found another one early on, I knew what I had to do. I was pleased with his performance all the way through to the end.
• BL = Hawlucha/Gyrados. Sprite by @tulip pulsar. Flying Press did a lot of work, but it was actually Ice Fang against all the flying types (there were so many...) that really made this one shine for the team.

• BM = Palkia/Blaziken. Sprite by @arctic lantern. A late addition to the team, but really helped a lot against ||Zapmolcuno|| with Surf, and against Lance who was randomized into Fire type.
• TR = Garchomp/Heracross. Sprite by @dry shuttle. Mega-Horn to make all Pyschic losers cry. A real beefy boy against the last fight with the Rival. The amount of punishment he took opened the way for the Hitmonlee fusion to wipe the rest of the team unpunished.
• BR = Arceus/Machamp. Sprite by @hallow crown. A very late addition randomly seeing Arceus on my way to fight the E4. But I wasn't complaining when I saw the amount of work Extreme Speed could put in from 'em.

Just finished my first challenge run of the game! It was an idea I saw a while back, a randomizer but you fuse every mon with the first mon encountered on Route 1. I was lucky enough for my first encounter to be Axew so here's my full team of Haxorus

Hax/Dodrio, Galvantula/Hax (my starter and first Axew), Blaziken/Hax, Skarmory/Hax, Kabutops/Hax, Sylveon/Hax

(I also had 12 other Haxorus for type coverage & other roles. They were Aegislash, Sceptile, Torterra, Lucario, Electivire, Aurorus, Slaking, Kangaskhan, Arbok, Wailord, Metagross & Zoroark. I went a bit hard in the sauce on this one)

MVP for the E4 was Bisharp+Gyarados - sweeped 3 of the E4 all by himself. Second in Command was Muk+Slowbro (Toxic/Slackoff/Protect/Minimize) who toxic stalled 5/6 of the Champs Mons.

As far as I know Mammuth had his own fusion stile for a long time even before he joined PIF
His work looks amazing and is really fun
You can see a lot of his work on Instagram also fusions that are with non PIF mons
