After the Bulbasaur run some issues in my personal life came up, but now that everything is sorted out I'm back and here to upload run 2/420! My third hall of fame, and second completed Monotype run. This time, as one can see, it was Bug. This run was ROUGH at first, but it felt like unlocking the Safari Zone was like a super saiyan transformation. I went from struggling with almost every major encounter to FLOORING foes with the powerful combo of Snorlax/Pinsir, Ferrothorn/Armaldo, and Volcarona/Probopass. the latter two are complete behemoths of fusions that are on par with the stuff you can usually do with the likes of Slaking. I was genuinely astonished by the silly shit you can do with them. And in the Elite Four, only Bruno posed much of a threat.

Overall, this was a very fun run! I'll probably return to my bug file when Scolipede's officially in the game, as he's one of my favorites.

Breaking news: Notorious cheater, Lance, the Dragon Master, has taken back his Champion title, by using way more Dragon noodles than necessary.

...But FR though, don't let the Champion fool you, the Lance fight was by far the toughest of the gauntlet. I only managed to get past his Togekiss-Dragonite fusion by switching my Mr. Mime-Dragonite into its Outrages, and hope that Encore shenanigans worked. And it did...eventually. 😛 Regardless, this game was super fun, and I do intend on beating it again in a different monotype-run again soon. Probably Grass... 🤔

Long story short, I caught a shiny pidgey, and when trying to find a good looking combination with said shiny pidgey, I discovered Honchkrow/Pidgeot, who looks very pimp like. I then decided to fully roll with it and have a team of female pokemon to support him. I don't know whether I should be ashamed or proud that this was my first time getting through to the Hall of Fame in this game.

Modern mode just changes what pokemon are available where, and what pokemon trainers and gym leaders have, I believe.

If you want to share exp with everyone you still have to get the "exp all" key item from doing a quest.
