finished v5, was extremely easy after i got the exp all so i disabled it during victory road (was still overleveled against the main e4)
lorelei was an easy sweep with muchamp, bruno was taken down with alakamega, muchamp and togeizard, agatha was a bit annoying but easy enough with umbslash, lance was a massacre with an omniboosted togeizard and my rival was defeated with vaporterra and a little help of magnevire
vaporterra, my starter, was an easy mvp, having a great defensive typing, good stats, and a good ability in water absorb

oh yeah, first time beating v5, fourth time beating the game overall

Palpert was a special powerhouse.
Lucanape was really good early and mid-game in its unevolved form, but in late-game he just kept getting outsped and oko'd.
Venuigon was the GOAT in the E4 with Petal Dance.
Geniclus just put everything to sleep.
And Rolix was was just so tanky.

1. So onis were usually represented on masks samurai used to wear, and gengar is a ghost, so my pokemon should be fighting/ghost

2. To fit gengar i need a fighting pokemon with good speed and special attack that learns a good special fighting attack, lucario was perfect for the role

3. Go into the game files, delete the custom sprite 296.92 (lucario/gengar) and put another sprite

4. Fuse in the pokemon in game and profit

Quite fine: I admit the only rival team member that really sticked to my mind throughout the playthrough was Ninjask/Bisharp and it was interesting to play around that and trying it to Encore it into something abuseable. His final pokemon definitely came in as a surprise! I liked it but some foreshadowing would've probably made it even cooler :)

Fusing the nidos doesn't really do anything for either of them, you're basically just getting the middleman between the two instead of a more unique mon
