depends on the mood. the first one is kind of more open and not as hopeless/dark as the second one feels. if you were to go for the first, id definitely do lighting just along the edges with a soft blurred out or airbrushed glow above the lineart (so it gives it a bit of pop-out, if that makes sense)

what I was referring to is how easy it is to tell what the chords are
because I can tell that without the melody you meant to just use a minor (sad) chord but you added in another note (which is in the melody) that isn't part of the minor chord and therefore confuses it a bit.

By the second bar I just assumed that each phrase of the melody was in a different bar, in other words it could be the repeat of the initial melody thing

Bridge - it's a section of a piece that usually has different instruments, or a different formation of instruments, and a different melody. For instance a piece I wrote, my "bridge" (it's more of a contempory word, I don't like to use it unless it is needed for clarification) has a new melody with a different rhythm, I don't use one of the instruments that I used at the start, and the third instrument plays a lot higher

one of the hardest things about a "bridge" is getting the rest of the piece to flow into it easily
