Yeah, when the number of the species is really high it mean that the game tried to fuse a fusion with another pokemon (maybe even fuse two fusion together)

What you need: A file compression software installed on your computer. (WinRAR, 7-Zip or WinZip - all 100% free or permanent trial versions, do NOT trust shady/paid downloads)
Recommended installation procedure: Follow the Download pages' description about which files you need to download, usually a 'Main Game' and a 'Patch' file. Create a new folder with directory and name of your choice. Move both downloads (which should be named "infinitefusion_version#-fullgame/patch") into this newly created folder.
Right click the 'fullgame' file and click "extract here". This procress may take a while, wait for it to finish. Afterwards repeat with the patch file. Now merge the files inside the patch folder with the fullgame directory, by dragging or copy/paste. When you get asked to overwrite files, click 'yes (all)' and the installation was successful.

Yeah chuckle, you should't "replace" the folder with the one with the patch. The two folder should fuse together to keep the file from both (and only ovverwrite the duplicate)
(that's the default behaviour on windows. I guess mac doesn't have the same default behviour)

Rerandomize your wild encounters by talking to the the guy in black on the top floor of any Pokémon Center. If it keeps happening also turn off the "Randomize wild encounters into fusions" option.

My guess is that this is a spelling mistake in the code

See how there is "move." for the pbIsPhysical for the reflect ? it's missing for the pbIsSpecial for the light screen. so the game doesn't know the method is link the the move and try to find it in the pokebattle_battle class instead and fail to find it. I believe that just adding the "move." would fix it (line 3364 of the PokeBattle_AI script by the way. @chilly kayak if you read this)

Not sure if this belongs in here or in #bug-reports-older-versions but I'm doing a randomized run and for most (maybe all?) of the game, when I encounter a pokemon, often the game crashes and it spits out something like this at me.
Is this a known bug? Is there some way I can fix this? I've been playing around it mostly fine, but it is quite annoying.

It is. It usually happen when you chose to randomise pokemon into fusion. Sometime the game messed up and try to fuse two fusion instead of two base pokemon (or a fusion and a base pokemon), making the species number way to high. I recommand talking to the men in black in the top floor of pokecenters (any poke center except the one from viridian). And change your randomization to not randomize normal into fuse (you'll still have fusion in the wild don't worry, but it will fusion of the pokemon that were randomly put in those grass.)
I mean, it's how the game work. it put pokemon in the grass (as an example, rattata and pidgey). And then (after you passed mt moon), it add to the grass the fusion of those pokemon in addition to their base form (so... rattata + pidgey or pidgey + rattata), but is the pokemon is already a fusion because of that weird randomize option, then it try to fuse a fusion with another base pokemon in the grass
Hopefully it will be fix one day but for now just deactivate that option

Hi, I have a sprite problem :
In custom battlers, there is a 65.130 that doesn't work (I gess because it's not a 288*288 image). So i did an other sprite with the good resolution but it doesn't work in game. Maybe it was my fault, so i tried to use a working custom sprite and renamed it 65.130... and it still doesn't work... only the default generated sprite works. Help 😢

Window size is the only real impactful way. And maybe turning off 3d mode.
And if it isn't ticked already, the first option in the menu that opens when you press F1.
It's hardware acceleration, but it doesn't seem to actually increase performance, but rather ups fps from 20 to 40

Conversion is bugged, don't use it. Regarding the random crashes, have you tried restarting the game? See if it happens in non-random mode, or even in differently-randomized mode

I would recommend just getting win rar or something and downloading from official sources. Wherever you got yours might as well have been a virus.

I used my other pc to extract, but it takes quite some time to move the files from that pc to my main one. Because the patches and the 4.3 game isn't a zip I use my other pc, not really fun times, but the game is worth it

So, this keeps happening. I got win rar and updated the game, it even says 4.4 in the title intro. I shuffled my dex quite a few times. It's a little annoying as I go right beck to where I last saved so I can;t make much progress.

You probably checked how to install it somewhere, but maybe this way it's easier for you.
Recommended installation procedure: Follow the Download pages' description about which files you need to download, usually a 'Main Game' and a 'Patch' file. Create a new folder with directory and name of your choice. Move both downloads (which should be named "infinitefusion_version#-fullgame/patch") into this newly created folder.
Right click the 'fullgame' file and click "extract here". This procress may take a while, wait for it to finish. Afterwards repeat with the patch file. Now merge the files inside the patch folder with the fullgame directory, by dragging or copy/paste. When you get asked to overwrite files, click 'yes (all)' and the installation was successful.

You should see an option named Add... below a large box.
Click it, then navigate to the Pokemon Infinite Fusion Folder, once inside single click on the application that begins the game, then press open.
Press apply or OK at the bottom of the window, and restart/start up the game.

I think it's important that we respect what operating system our users use. We have lots of people using wine to play infinite fusion, and it would be silly to ask someone to buy a windows PC just to play the game. Pokemon Infinite Fusion is a monster of an rpg maker game, and with the last update to RPG Maker XP being in 2005, Schrroms has had to get creative with their optimization techniques. Click the only result, be sure to click the one with a shield next to it, and not just System.
A new window should have opened, press the tab on the top that says Advanced.
The first option should say Performance, click Settings.
This should open another new window, click the tab at the top of this new window that says Data Execution Prevention.
You should see an option named Add... below a large box.
Click it, then navigate to the Pokemon Infinite Fusion Folder, once inside single click on the application that begins the game, then press open.
Press apply or OK at the bottom of the window, and restart/start up the game.

Does anyone know where the game save file goes to. I got the application to run correctly on my Mac using Wine without any problems, but when reloading the game any save I created isn't there and there is only an option to start a new game everytime. I'm wondering if its because mac isn't use to running an exe file if there may not be permissions set for it to create a save file or something of the like

Seems it won't save anywhere as I can't find the file anywhere on Mac. Also wine ran the game completely well the first time but any time I reboot it after that it hasn't been running the game well and has been super laggy. Guess it just doesn't really run on Mac which is a shame because I really enjoy the game and concept and just want to play it.

If you really want to make sure, get an application to track the current stats of your components, mainly CPU and GPU. If none of those show abnormal stats there should be no issue

Using any kind of DNA splicer says that it can't be unfused, so I expected a similar thing. I didn't think it would work and then crash.

YESSSS! got it to run perfectly on wine and finally figured it out with save files and all. If anyone needs any help in the future with Mac instillation or getting it running just dm me so I can help you.

Hello, I was in the Celadon sewer with Eirika, i saved my game next to the machine to lower the water and then my game crashed saying "???? Interpreter ? 512 ??? NoMethodError ????? undefined method 'unlock' for nil:NilClass".
When i try to reload the game, everytime the game launch there is the dialogue with Eirika poping " The hideout of the Rocket must be close" or something like that and when i try to close the dialogue the game immediatly crash with the same error message.
Can someone help me ?
