REGARDING SPRITE ISSUES:

NOTE: If you are offline and cannot play the game online, use the preloaded version in #downloads (Windows Only)!

If you have seen even a single custom or base sprite for any pokemon:

Do this first: navigate to the help man in the Pokecenter and go to Sprite Options -> Clear Sprite Cache.

Otherwise, your game is fine and working properly! The game can only download a limited number of sprites while playing before going on cooldown, you have simply hit the download cap for now.
If you still feel like your sprites are not downloading, ensure that you have your "download data" option enabled and your device is connected to the internet.

If you have not seen even a single sprite for any pokemon:
Your game is not working properly!
Step 1. Ensure you're on the latest version (check your title screen and compare with #downloads)
Step 2. Ensure you have a good internet connection.
Step 3. Check your options in a save, turn on "download data" if it was turned off.
Step 4. If that did not fix it: head to a pokecenter > talk to the man in a black suit with sunglasses and navigate to Sprite Settings and select "Reset sprite cache" & "Reset displayed alt sprites".
Step 5. If that did not fix it, delete any game or launcher folders and do a full reinstall using the preloaded files in #downloads .
Step 6. After reinstalling, repeat step 4.

REGARDING SPRITE ISSUES:

NOTE: If you are offline and cannot play the game online, use the preloaded version in #downloads (Windows Only)!

If you have seen even a single custom or base sprite for any pokemon:

Do this first: navigate to the help man in the Pokecenter and go to Sprite Options -> Clear Sprite Cache.

Otherwise, your game is fine and working properly! The game can only download a limited number of sprites while playing before going on cooldown, you have simply hit the download cap for now.
If you still feel like your sprites are not downloading, ensure that you have your "download data" option enabled and your device is connected to the internet.

If you have not seen even a single sprite for any pokemon:
Your game is not working properly!
Step 1. Ensure you're on the latest version (check your title screen and compare with #downloads)
Step 2. Ensure you have a good internet connection.
Step 3. Check your options in a save, turn on "download data" if it was turned off.
Step 4. If that did not fix it: head to a pokecenter > talk to the man in a black suit with sunglasses and navigate to Sprite Settings and select "Reset sprite cache" & "Reset displayed alt sprites".
Step 5. If that did not fix it, delete any game or launcher folders and do a full reinstall using the preloaded files in #downloads .
Step 6. After reinstalling, repeat step 4.

• If playing on a Randomized save, make sure to reshuffle after updating. Use ?tag reshuffle if you need help.

In addition to what the bot said, 90% of the time its just hanging up on the WiFi. Turn your WiFi off and back on real quick. It gets hung up trying to ping the server for updates.

It'll do the same thing when you first load into a file and its checking for sprite pack releases.

• If you get the message below while opening the game, this means to stop clicking/pressing buttons on the screen as it is loading.
• If you get the message after the intro animation, turn off your internet and try again. If the issue persists, turn off download data as well. (This will cause missing sprites if you used the lightweight installer!)

Randomizing trainers on Remix and Expert Mode will crash trainer battlers.

Steps to fix:

there is a possibility windows indexing catches it, in whitch case, you found it.

Now, there are two other options i can think of, depending on how you want to do things:

Method 1:
use Everything by voidtools, not sure if i can link it here so i won't, but you can find it quite easily, then you just search for the file name, really fast, really easy.

Method 2:
this method is slower, but does not require installinganything extra, you can use the powershell command below (may not be optimal, im not a powershell expert)

Get-ChildItem -Path "C:\" -Filter "InfiniteFusion.exe" -Recurse -ErrorAction SilentlyContinue

you can replace C:\ with something more narrow to make the search faster.

• all of this is assuming you do not have a shortcut or anything

This only works if you had Auto Save turned on and using 6.4+

1. Open your game folder
2. Double click SaveFile
3. Double click the folder named backups
4. Double click the folder of the save slot you’re reverting. Ex: File A
5. Rename the most recent file to File A.rxdata (The letter will be different if you’re reverting a different save slot)
6. Copy the newly renamed file and paste it into the previous folder. (This will be the folder you had open after step 2) When asked to replace, click yes.

Note: If you don't feel comfortable overriding the save, you can rename it to a different letter on step 5. Ex: File B.rxdata instead of File A.rxdata

after getting the teleporter from the radio tower in goldenrod i checked the point shop with the assistant but closed out without buying anything, then i went down only to find out i had to fight the gym leader before going any farther, so after beating whitney i went to azelea town and fought the guy that trades the meowto in goldenrod city. after beating him i decided to teleport to the sivi islands and find the scuba gear only for the message to say you cant use that here, then i tried to use the teleport hm only for it to say you cant use that here. i tried in houses and out of houses and even used the debugger and healed my pokemon to see if that would fix it but it didnt.

To fix crashes on specific trainers in legendary mode:

1. Leave the area (if in a building, go outside)
2. In the Game Options, toggle trainers from classic to remix (or vice versa)
3. Go back to that trainer and try again.
4. After the battle, you may change the trainers back to their original setting.

If you get a different crash when you toggle the trainers, try moving to a different area.

If you still feel like your sprites are not downloading, ensure that you have your "download data" option enabled and your device is connected to the internet.

If your game is opening and immediately closing, you likely need to do a full reinstall in a new folder. You should be deleting all of your old game/launcher folders! DO NOT MIX OLD AND NEW FILES!

Reinstalling on Windows does not affect Save Files in any way. For all other platforms, refer to the installation guides for your device!

This game does not work while inside a OneDrive folder. If you see a status column in your game folder or your filepath has onedrive, that means your game folder is synching to OneDrive and will cause you several issues.

To Fix:

1. Move your InfiniteFusion folder to your C:\Users\Your Name\Downloads folder
2. Attempt to run the game. If your problem is fixed, you do not need to do anything else. If your problem is not fixed or new problems arise, continue to step 3.
3. Open the .git folder (use screenshot below tp show hidden folders if you don't see it) and delete the file named shallow.lock and index.lock
   4.. Rerun INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.bat afterwards to redownload any files OneDrive deleted.

If you do not want to move your installation location, you can either:

1. Uninstall OneDrive (Recommended if you don't need OD for school/work)
2. Edit your OneDrive to not manage your PIF folder (Only if you need it for school/work)
