REGARDING SPRITE ISSUES:

NOTE: If you are offline and cannot play the game online, you can either download the newest spritepack from #spritepack-releases (NOT APPLICABLE FOR ANDROID) or use the alt download (mentioned at the bottom of this message)

If you have seen even a single custom or base sprite for any pokemon:

Do this first: navigate to the help man in the Pokecenter and go to Sprite Options -> Clear Sprite Cache.

Otherwise, your game is fine and working properly! The game can only download a limited number of sprites while playing before going on cooldown, you have simply hit the download cap for now.
If you still feel like your sprites are not downloading, ensure that you have your "download data" option enabled and your device is connected to the internet.

If you have not seen even a single sprite for any pokemon:
Your game is not working properly!
Step 1. Ensure you're on the latest version (check your title screen and compare with #downloads)
Step 2. Ensure you have a good internet connection.
Step 3. Check your options in a save, turn on "download data" if it was turned off.
Step 4. If that did not fix it: head to a pokecenter > talk to the man in a black suit with sunglasses and navigate to Sprite Settings and select "Reset sprite cache" & "Reset displayed alt sprites".

To clean out your computer:

  1. Delete all the save files from the fake files. It's not recommended to keep these, as they have bugs and fake data that the normal game doesn't have.
    🔵 Your game folder has a shortcut that you double click named Savefile to take you to the location to delete all save files. They are named File A.rxdata.
  2. Delete any zipped/unzipped folders from there
  3. Run a virus scan

After doing all the steps, use #downloads to download the real files.

I keep getting this Error when entering into a trainer battle in Erika's gym for my 4th badge. After this error the game closes and will not relaunch. It opens the initial screen but never launches the application. I have tried updating and re-installing the files that i originally got here on the discord and while fully re-installing the files does let me re-launch the game i still run into this error. If your game is opening and immediately closing, you likely need to do a full reinstall in a new folder. You should be deleting all of your old game/launcher folders! DO NOT MIX OLD AND NEW FILES!

Reinstalling on Windows does not affect Save Files in any way. For all other platforms, refer to the installation guides for your device!

For windows only!

If you're using the Launcher:

  1. Delete your old launcher folder.
  2. Reinstall version 1.1.2 of the launcher from HERE (Yes, even if you're already on 1.1.2)
  3. Open the settings tab
  4. Click "Reset Config"
    NOTE: The original path that the launcher shows will be your old game folder. That folder should be deleted. The new game folder will be in PIFLauncher(#.#.#)/GameFiles/InfiniteFusion
  5. Install/Update the game files.

If you're not using the Launcher:

  1. Delete your old game folder.
  2. Reinstall the Lightweight installer in a NEW folder from Here

apologies to bother, but I'm having a bit of a nightmare getting IF to run consistently. Think I initially downloaded the game on another website like a dumbass, but have uninstalled it (+ another version of IF I played back in 2023) and reinstalled it using the alt download. Despite that, it's still struggling - the performance mode doesn't load after numerous attempts to get it to run, and the regular .exe crashes so much with error messages like these. (also I finally got performance mode to run and it crashed just as fast 🫠 obviously nothing wrong with the game, just don't know why my setup is so shit!)

How to restore to a backup save

This only works if you had Auto Save turned on and using 6.4+

  1. Open your game folder
  2. Double click SaveFile
  3. Double click the folder named backups
  4. Double click the folder of the save slot you’re reverting. Ex: File A
  5. Rename the most recent file to File A.rxdata (The letter will be different if you’re reverting a different save slot)
  6. Copy the newly renamed file and paste it into the previous folder. (This will be the folder you had open after step 2) When asked to replace, click yes.

Note: If you don't feel comfortable overriding the save, you can rename it to a different letter on step 5. Ex: File B.rxdata instead of File A.rxdata

To Fix:

  1. Move your InfiniteFusion folder to your C:\Users\Your Name\Downloads folder
  2. Attempt to run the game. If your problem is fixed, you do not need to do anything else. If your problem is not fixed or new problems arise, continue to step 3.
  3. Open the .git folder (use screenshot below tp show hidden folders if you don't see it) and delete the file named shallow.lock and index.lock
    4.. Rerun INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.bat afterwards to redownload any files OneDrive deleted.

REGARDING SPRITE ISSUES:

NOTE: If you are offline and cannot play the game online, you can either download the newest spritepack from #spritepack-releases (NOT APPLICABLE FOR ANDROID) or use the alt download (mentioned at the bottom of this message)

If you have seen even a single custom or base sprite for any pokemon:

Do this first: navigate to the help man in the Pokecenter and go to Sprite Options -> Clear Sprite Cache.

Otherwise, your game is fine and working properly! The game can only download a limited number of sprites while playing before going on cooldown, you have simply hit the download cap for now.
If you still feel like your sprites are not downloading, ensure that you have your "download data" option enabled and your device is connected to the internet.

If you have not seen even a single sprite for any pokemon:
Your game is not working properly!
Step 1. Ensure you're on the latest version (check your title screen and compare with #downloads)
Step 2. Ensure you have a good internet connection.
Step 3. Check your options in a save, turn on "download data" if it was turned off.
Step 4. If that did not fix it: head to a pokecenter > talk to the man in a black suit with sunglasses and navigate to Sprite Settings and select "Reset sprite cache" & "Reset displayed alt sprites".
Step 5. If that did not fix it, delete any game or launcher folders and do a full reinstall.
Step 6. After reinstalling, repeat step 4.

If for some reason none of this works, type ?tag altdownload in #ask-a-bot and reinstall using those files (NOT APPLICABLE FOR ANDROID)

You’ve got 3 options

  1. If you want to keep using the launcher (not really an issue if you do), go to the settings tab and uncheck the box for performance mode
  2. Reinstall fresh from #downloads and delete your entire launcher folder (saves will be fine)
  3. Go into the launcher files and find your game folder and just launch the game through there instead of using the launcher. You could also move the entire game folder out of the launcher folders to make it easier to access

Too much on your PC probably. Randomization can be hard on your PC since it has to go through 200000+ custom sprites and individually assign them. Performance mode, as it suggests, minimizes performance requirements thus helps with it

This game does not work while inside a OneDrive folder. If you see a status column in your game folder or your filepath has onedrive, that means your game folder is synching to OneDrive and will cause you several issues.

To Fix:

  1. Move your InfiniteFusion folder to your C:\Users\Your Name\Downloads folder
  2. Attempt to run the game. If your problem is fixed, you do not need to do anything else. If your problem is not fixed or new problems arise, continue to step 3.
  3. Open the .git folder (use screenshot below tp show hidden folders if you don't see it) and delete the file named shallow.lock and index.lock
    4.. Rerun INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.bat afterwards to redownload any files OneDrive deleted.

Beware of Unofficial Websites That Claim To Be Official.

The only official sources to download the game are here, the game's subreddit or the pokecommunity thread.

To clean out your computer:

  1. Delete all the save files from the fake files. It's not recommended to keep these, as they have bugs and fake data that the normal game doesn't have.
    🔵 Your game folder has a shortcut that you double click named Savefile to take you to the location to delete all save files. They are named File A.rxdata.
  2. Delete any zipped/unzipped folders from there
  3. Run a virus scan

After doing all the steps, use #downloads to download the real files.

For some reason, even though your internet might be working just fine, something about this game clogs it up. Once you are in game, if issue persists, turn off Download Data as well. For Android users, you may also need to turn off your mobile data.

Note: When you are disconnected from the internet, sprites will not be automatically downloaded resulting in missing sprites. REGARDING SPRITE ISSUES:

NOTE: If you are offline and cannot play the game online, you can either download the newest spritepack from #spritepack-releases (NOT APPLICABLE FOR ANDROID) or use the alt download (mentioned at the bottom of this message)

If you have seen even a single custom or base sprite for any pokemon:

Do this first: navigate to the help man in the Pokecenter and go to Sprite Options -> Clear Sprite Cache.

Otherwise, your game is fine and working properly! The game can only download a limited number of sprites while playing before going on cooldown, you have simply hit the download cap for now.
If you still feel like your sprites are not downloading, ensure that you have your "download data" option enabled and your device is connected to the internet.

If you have not seen even a single sprite for any pokemon:
Your game is not working properly!
Step 1. Ensure you're on the latest version (check your title screen and compare with #downloads)
Step 2. Ensure you have a good internet connection.
Step 3. Check your options in a save, turn on "download data" if it was turned off.
Step 4. If that did not fix it: head to a pokecenter > talk to the man in a black suit with sunglasses and navigate to Sprite Settings and select "Reset sprite cache" & "Reset displayed alt sprites".
Step 5. If that did not fix it, delete any game or launcher folders and do a full reinstall.
Step 6. After reinstalling, repeat step 4.

Hello, I'm having issues once again at playing the game. It stops at random moments through the gameplay even when i play on the performance version. I tried following the tutorial of the bot but none of the items are working. I tried reinstalling it, restarting my pc and all that, same things goes for the sprites. I'm truly at a loss and the problem shouldn't be my pc as it has a 3080-ti with 32gb of ram and a I-9, my internet connection should not be too bad as it averages around 40mbs i do really have no clue on what I'm doing wrong. If your game is opening and immediately closing, you likely need to do a full reinstall in a new folder. You should be deleting all of your old game/launcher folders! DO NOT MIX OLD AND NEW FILES!

Reinstalling on Windows does not affect Save Files in any way. For all other platforms, refer to the installation guides for your device!

For windows only!

If you're using the Launcher:

  1. Delete your old launcher folder.
  2. Reinstall version 1.1.2 of the launcher from HERE (Yes, even if you're already on 1.1.2)
  3. Open the settings tab
  4. Click "Reset Config"
    NOTE: The original path that the launcher shows will be your old game folder. That folder should be deleted. The new game folder will be in PIFLauncher(#.#.#)/GameFiles/InfiniteFusion
  5. Install/Update the game files.

If you're not using the Launcher:

  1. Delete your old game folder.
  2. Reinstall the Lightweight installer in a NEW folder from Here

I transferred my save file from my computer and it seems to replaced all the sprites I had previously selected with the basic sprite. Anyway to fix this?

For missing sprites after updating, talk to the help man in any Pokémon center and navigate to Sprite Options -> Clear Sprite Cache.

If your sprites are still missing, check the pinned message in #tech-support titled “REGARDING SPRITE ISSUES”.
