if you are experience download issues you may want to:

try a different browser; some browsers [like Opera] heavily dislike our files and will either fight you on downloading, or outright not function

try a vpn; some countries have started cracking down on sites like mediafire/googledocs, so a vpn can help circumnavigate that

the mac guides lack an alternate link aside from mediafire, however i believe the game files are largely the same on most pc downloads so you can try either the main download link from the lightweight installer guide, or the google drive backup should that also prove problematic

You might be getting confused because the altdownload for the PC and the altdownload for Android serve two different purposes

As Saph said, altdownload on PC either they want all the sprites, or their system is being a butt. By default, Android is always a pre-load, the altdownload for that is purely permission errors

That lag when starting a battle is the game downloading sprites. Only way to get rid of that is turning off download data in the game settings but then you may be missing sprites

Okay I'm lost completely. I've done EVERYTHING to the dot on installing on my Samsung Galaxy Z fold 7 the game works flawlessly no issues solid 40 fps to 60 fps. It does require active play. Older saves with lots of pokemon will clog the system en trigger cooldowns. You can always use the alt download which we have that has everything and can function offline.

think about moves that are not damage. these are often the strongest moves in the game. Specifically status and confusion early will help you a lot.

I went to the Help Man and reset all sprites and did the "active play," to try and get some of them back and SOME fixed, but most did not. What do I do?

For never ending loading screens, try turning off WiFi/internet on your device and try again. For some reason, even though your internet might be working just fine, something about this game clogs it up. Once you are in game, if issue persists, turn off Download Data as well. For Android users, you may also need to turn off your mobile data.

Note: When you are disconnected from the internet, sprites will not be automatically downloaded resulting in missing sprites. For some reason, even though your internet might be working just fine, something about this game clogs it up. Once you are in game, if issue persists, turn off Download Data as well. How to Update to the Latest Version (Windows)

• If you're on or above 6.6.0 double click INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.bat to update.
• If you're below 6.6.0 you must either reinstall in a NEW folder (since the updater won't work due to bugs) or use the New Launcher to update.
• Reinstalling doesn’t remove or require you to move any Save Files.
• If playing on a Randomized save, make sure to reshuffle after updating. Use ?tag reshuffle if you need help.

Controllers don't work on mobile devices. Joiplay doesn't save the inputs you give it upon exiting, and the button mapping is all over the place

REGARDING SPRITE ISSUES:

NOTE: If you are offline and cannot play the game online, you can either download the newest spritepack from #spritepack-releases (NOT APPLICABLE FOR ANDROID) or use the alt download (mentioned at the bottom of this message)

If you have seen even a single custom or base sprite for any pokemon:

Do this first: navigate to the help man in the Pokecenter and go to Sprite Options -> Clear Sprite Cache.

Otherwise, your game is fine and working properly! The game can only download a limited number of sprites while playing before going on cooldown, you have simply hit the download cap for now.
If you still feel like your sprites are not downloading, ensure that you have your "download data" option enabled and your device is connected to the internet.

If you have not seen even a single sprite for any pokemon:
Your game is not working properly!
Step 1. Ensure you're on the latest version (check your title screen and compare with #downloads)
Step 2. Ensure you have a good internet connection.
Step 3. Check your options in a save, turn on "download data" if it was turned off.
Step 4. If that did not fix it: head to a pokecenter > talk to the man in a black suit with sunglasses and navigate to Sprite Settings and select "Reset sprite cache" & "Reset displayed alt sprites".

If your game is opening and immediately closing, you likely need to do a full reinstall in a new folder. You should be deleting all of your old game/launcher folders! DO NOT MIX OLD AND NEW FILES!

1. Delete your old launcher folder.

To clean out your computer:

If your game is opening and immediately closing, you likely need to do a full reinstall in a new folder. You should be deleting all of your old game/launcher folders! DO NOT MIX OLD AND NEW FILES!

Reinstalling on Windows does not affect Save Files in any way. For all other platforms, refer to the installation guides for your device!

For windows only!

If you're using the Launcher:

1. Delete your old launcher folder.
2. Reinstall version 1.1.2 of the launcher from HERE (Yes, even if you're already on 1.1.2)
3. Open the settings tab
4. Click "Reset Config"
   NOTE: The original path that the launcher shows will be your old game folder. That folder should be deleted. The new game folder will be in PIFLauncher(#.#.#)/GameFiles/InfiniteFusion
5. Install/Update the game files.

1. Delete your old game folder.

so i was on too old a version before 6.6.0 so I deleted the game in my files and then redowloaded it but when i launched the installer i got an odd message

I think maybe I didn’t delete everything I needed to prior to attempting a new installation and that confused the installer

The textures are behaving weirdly for me. I clip through one of the object’s in professor oak’s house, my hair is always in front of doors, and Hoothoot is gone. I think there was a message about something not being right when I downloaded the game, but I skimmed through it since everything seemed to work fine at first. All the issues appear to be cosmetic so it’s not a big deal but my favorite part of this game is the art so I'd like to see it in all it's intended glory!

Do this first: navigate to the help man in the Pokecenter and go to Sprite Options -> Clear Sprite Cache.

Otherwise, your game is fine and working properly! The game can only download a limited number of sprites while playing before going on cooldown, you have simply hit the download cap for now.
If you still feel like your sprites are not downloading, ensure that you have your "download data" option enabled and your device is connected to the internet.

If you have not seen even a single sprite for any pokemon:
Your game is not working properly!
Step 1. Ensure you're on the latest version (check your title screen and compare with #downloads)
Step 2. Ensure you have a good internet connection.

How to restore to a backup save

This only works if you had Auto Save turned on and using 6.4+

1. Open your game folder
2. Double click SaveFile
3. Double click the folder named backups
4. Double click the folder of the save slot you’re reverting. Ex: File A
5. Rename the most recent file to File A.rxdata (The letter will be different if you’re reverting a different save slot)
6. Copy the newly renamed file and paste it into the previous folder. (This will be the folder you had open after step 2) When asked to replace, click yes.

Note: If you don't feel comfortable overriding the save, you can rename it to a different letter on step 5. Ex: File B.rxdata instead of File A.rxdata
