If your game is opening and immediately closing, you likely need to do a full reinstall in a new folder. You should be deleting all of your old game/launcher folders! DO NOT MIX OLD AND NEW FILES!

Reinstalling on Windows does not affect Save Files in any way. For all other platforms, refer to the installation guides for your device!

For windows only!

If you're using the Launcher:

1. Delete your old launcher folder.
2. Reinstall version 1.1.2 of the launcher from HERE (Yes, even if you're already on 1.1.2)
3. Open the settings tab
4. Click "Reset Config"
   NOTE: The original path that the launcher shows will be your old game folder. That folder should be deleted. The new game folder will be in PIFLauncher(#.#.#)/GameFiles/InfiniteFusion
5. Install/Update the game files.

If you're not using the Launcher:

1. Delete your old game folder.
2. Reinstall the Lightweight installer in a NEW folder from Here

REGARDING SPRITE ISSUES:

NOTE: If you are offline and cannot play the game online, you can either download the newest spritepack from #spritepack-releases (NOT APPLICABLE FOR ANDROID) or use the alt download (mentioned at the bottom of this message)

If you have seen even a single custom or base sprite for any pokemon:

Do this first: navigate to the help man in the Pokecenter and go to Sprite Options -> Clear Sprite Cache.

Otherwise, your game is fine and working properly! The game can only download a limited number of sprites while playing before going on cooldown, you have simply hit the download cap for now.
If you still feel like your sprites are not downloading, ensure that you have your "download data" option enabled and your device is connected to the internet.

If you have not seen even a single sprite for any pokemon:
Your game is not working properly!
Step 1. Ensure you're on the latest version (check your title screen and compare with #downloads)
Step 2. Ensure you have a good internet connection.
Step 3. Check your options in a save, turn on "download data" if it was turned off.
Step 4. If that did not fix it: head to a pokecenter > talk to the man in a black suit with sunglasses and navigate to Sprite Settings and select "Reset sprite cache" & "Reset displayed alt sprites".
Step 5. If that did not fix it, delete any game or launcher folders and do a full reinstall.
Step 6. After reinstalling, repeat step 4.

How to restore to a backup save

This only works if you had Auto Save turned on and using 6.4+

1. Open your game folder
2. Double click SaveFile
3. Double click the folder named backups
4. Double click the folder of the save slot you’re reverting. Ex: File A
5. Rename the most recent file to File A.rxdata (The letter will be different if you’re reverting a different save slot)
6. Copy the newly renamed file and paste it into the previous folder. (This will be the folder you had open after step 2) When asked to replace, click yes.

Note: If you don't feel comfortable overriding the save, you can rename it to a different letter on step 5. Ex: File B.rxdata instead of File A.rxdata

For never ending loading screens, try turning off WiFi/internet on your device and try again. For some reason, even though your internet might be working just fine, something about this game clogs it up. Once you are in game, if issue persists, turn off Download Data as well. For Android users, you may also need to turn off your mobile data.

Note: When you are disconnected from the internet, sprites will not be automatically downloaded resulting in missing sprites. If the game will only work offline for you, go to #ask-a-bot and type in ?tag altdownload and reinstall with the guide that Deino replies with. This is only meant for Windows devices. If you’re on a non-windows device, you already have all spritesheets pre-installed which means you just need to turn off download data!

Look in the infinitefusiondex calc and see if you see them there. If they show in the calc, they should be in your game, if they are not, then they likely got removed for being too similar to another sprite

Hey @cunning dawn! To unlock randomized mode: Create a new game, save in Pallet Town, and create a 2nd new game. More options will appear since the 1st save is locked to Classic Mode.

Our randomizer doesn't offer true randomization meaning each Pokemon or item you find is **not ** going to be random each time. Instead we offer the below for Pokemon:
Global:

• Makes it so that if Pidgey was randomized to Pikachu on route 1, all Pidgeys on all routes are Pikachu.

Area:

• Better randomization than Global. Makes it so that each route has their own randomized set of encounters.

How to Update to the Latest Version (Windows)

• If you're on or above 6.6.0 double click INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.bat to update.
• If you're below 6.6.0 you must either reinstall in a NEW folder (since the updater won't work due to bugs) or use the New Launcher to update.

To fix crashes on specific trainers in legendary mode:

1. Leave the area (if in a building, go outside)
2. Toggle trainers from classic to remix (or vice versa)
3. Go back to that trainer and try again.
4. After the battle, you may change the trainers back to their original setting.

If you get a different crash when you toggle the trainers, try moving to a different area.

i highly suspect it has to do with Russian ISPs having cloudflare half-banned. hence my first ask was to ask for domains to try and whitelist in my bypass. where does game connects on launch? so only without internet entirel can it be launched

The game files and the save files need to be on the same drive. The game files by default downloads to C: drive (user/downloads) and then makes a folder in C: drive (user/appdata)

Do me a favor, disconnect from the internet one last time. Open the game and load up a save. While loaded up in the save, go to options and turn off download data. Save the game, plug your internet back in and try again.

Yeah thats normal, its because our stuff isn't an official app from Microsoft so it thinks its a virus. Try deleting it and re-downloading it to fix the language thing

Yes, they will download as you play. Just keep Download Data on, and have an internet connection. If you dont see them start generating after interacting with them with both those things on, then do "?tag missingsp" in #ask-a-bot to get info on how to fix that (or just come back here).

Your sprites will also probably reset to the default autogen ones, you will have to change those back to whatever custom one you want manually.

So I've been reading the source code to better understand the radar's jank, and jeez; what a headache.
The temp repel system is pretty odd. You get 10 steps if you were at 0 when using the radar; but not if you were at, say, 1. (Looks like a typo, since it uses a <= comparison that makes no sense at 0, but makes perfect sense at 10). That explains why real repels are necessary even if you take fewer than 10 steps between uses.
There's some code for the whole radar battery system, but it's thankfully inert.
The code for breaking chains is super weird. It rolls 100 times to generate a different pokemon, or it just drops the radar. Neither of these things happen in practice, suggesting it never fails the rng portion. My random guess is that "rand(100) < 86 + ring * 4 + ($PokemonTemp.pokeradar[2] / 4).floor" is either doing order-of-operations wrong, or implicitly casting variable types wrong
Basically any "encounter" event will drop the radar, even if it's empty or aborted or disallowed for whatever reason. That's the most likely culprit of random drops, but such events could be called from nearly anywhere - making it impossible trace without better debugging tools. My guess is it's something that changes between battles, because it seems impossible to intentionally trigger a random drop. It's unlikely related to repels or incense. It might be something like the flutes, which effect encounters without touching the repel system. If the black/white flute cause more or less random drops, that's a huge clue. I doubt it though, and it's probably entirely fine to leave the black flute on while chaining. If anything, it might help that the black flute sets min_steps up; in case the problem is related to the accumulator not clearing properly during repel effects.

1. Open your game folder
2. Double click SaveFile

5. Rename the most recent file to File A.rxdata (The letter will be different if you’re reverting a different save slot)
6. Copy the newly renamed file and paste it into the previous folder. (This will be the folder you had open after step 2) When asked to replace, click yes.

Step 5. If that did not fix it, delete any game or launcher folders and do a full reinstall.
Step 6. After reinstalling, repeat step 4.

To fix crashes on specific trainers in legendary mode:

1. Leave the area (if in a building, go outside)
2. Toggle trainers from classic to remix (or vice versa)
3. Go back to that trainer and try again.
4. After the battle, you may change the trainers back to their original setting.

If you get a different crash when you toggle the trainers, try moving to a different area.

It took me like 6 hours last night to get all the sprites moved into the Sprites To Import folder, and now when I launch the game I get the launch screen and then a black screen that I think is the Steamdeck chugging along?

After a few minutes I closed it out and went to Desktop mode to look at the folder again, and the files start with 2 now instead of 1...so maybe it was gradually working its way through them.

Well. To Mordy's point you're going to have doubled up sprites now. Normally it would be suggested that you follow the normal rules for missing sprites, such as resetting the sprite cache at the help man.

If your game is opening and immediately closing, you likely need to do a full reinstall in a new folder. You should be deleting all of your old game/launcher folders! DO NOT MIX OLD AND NEW FILES!

Reinstalling on Windows does not affect Save Files in any way. For all other platforms, refer to the installation guides for your device!

For windows only!

If you're using the Launcher:

1. Delete your old launcher folder.
2. Reinstall version 1.1.2 of the launcher from HERE (Yes, even if you're already on 1.1.2)
3. Open the settings tab
4. Click "Reset Config"
   NOTE: The original path that the launcher shows will be your old game folder. That folder should be deleted. The new game folder will be in PIFLauncher(#.#.#)/GameFiles/InfiniteFusion
5. Install/Update the game files.

If you're not using the Launcher:

1. Delete your old game folder.

How to Update to the Latest Version (Windows)

• If you're on or above 6.6.0 double click INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.bat to update.
• If you're below 6.6.0 you must either reinstall in a NEW folder (since the updater won't work due to bugs) or use the New Launcher to update.
• Reinstalling doesn’t remove or require you to move any Save Files.
• If playing on a Randomized save, make sure to reshuffle after updating. Use ?tag reshuffle if you need help.

Hey @marble cipher! To unlock randomized mode: Create a new game, save in Pallet Town, and create a 2nd new game. More options will appear since the 1st save is locked to Classic Mode.

Our randomizer doesn't offer true randomization meaning each Pokemon or item you find is **not ** going to be random each time. Instead we offer the below for Pokemon:
Global:

• Makes it so that if Pidgey was randomized to Pikachu on route 1, all Pidgeys on all routes are Pikachu.

Area:

• Better randomization than Global. Makes it so that each route has their own randomized set of encounters.

hit up the help man in a pokemon center, go into the advanced options to find randomizer settings and turn those off

Randomizing trainers on Remix and Expert Mode will crash trainer battlers.

Steps to fix:

2. Select Advanced Settings -> Randomizer Settings -> Turn Trainers/Gyms OFF
   Note: If you are on Expert Mode, you can go to the help man and switch back to Classic rather than turning off random trainers.
