That's normal, cause you're technically supposed to get the non-upgraded before the upgraded if I remember right

it is always smart to double check if your device is listed as incompatible

and as an added bonus, even if it is currently listed as compatible doesn't guarantee it actually is, since compatibility for android changes with each update the game gets

It's very possible it's not device version but it could be if you're on an SD card or not

The "Joiplay failed to mount /storage/emulated/0" error is typically a permissions issue that began with changes to how Android 11 and later versions handle storage access. Your game files are likely on an external SD card, which Joiplay often has trouble with.

If you have seen even a single custom or base sprite for any pokemon:
Your game is fine and working properly! The game can only download a limited number of sprites while playing before going on cooldown, you have simply hit the download cap for now.
If you still feel like your sprites are not download, ensure that you have your "download data" option enabled and your device is connected to the internet.

If you have not seen even a single sprite for any pokemon:
Your game is not working properly!
Step 1. Ensure you're on the latest version (check your title screen and compare with #downloads)
Step 2. Ensure you have a good internet connection.
Step 3. Check your options in a save, turn on "download data" if it was turned off.

Beware of Unofficial Websites That Claim To Be Official.

The only official sources to download the game are here, the game's subreddit or the pokecommunity thread.

To clean out your computer:

  1. Delete all the save files from the fake files. It's not recommended to keep these, as they have bugs and fake data that the normal game doesn't have.
    🔵 Your game folder has a shortcut that you double click named Savefile to take you to the location to delete all save files. They are named File A.rxdata.
  2. Delete any zipped/unzipped folders from there
  3. Run a virus scan

After doing all the steps, use #downloads to download the real files.

Hey @flat gulch! To unlock randomized mode: Create a new game, save in Pallet Town, and create a 2nd new game. More options will appear since the 1st save is locked to Classic Mode.

Our randomizer doesn't offer true randomization meaning each Pokemon or item you find is **not ** going to be random each time. Instead we offer the below for Pokemon:
Global:

  • Makes it so that if Pidgey was randomized to Pikachu on route 1, all Pidgeys on all routes are Pikachu.

Area:

  • Better randomization than Global. Makes it so that each route has their own randomized set of encounters.

The error you are having is due to a corrupted save in your save folder conflicting with your current save.

Note: Ensure you know which save file is corrupted before continuing. You can see the save slot on the save selection screen.

  1. Open your game folder
  2. Double click SaveFile
  3. Delete the save file causing issues.
  4. If you don't know which it is, you can remove the save 1 by 1 from this folder until you find it

If you want to revert your save to a backup, use ?tag backups for more info.

But, after the launching intro, there is a black screen for few minutes, and then, when I am on the "press any key" screen, nothing happen.

For never ending loading screens, try turning off WiFi/internet on your device and try again. For some reason, even though your internet might be working just fine, something about this game clogs it up. Once you are in game, if issue persists, turn off Download Data as well. For Android users, you may also need to turn off your mobile data.

Note: When you are disconnected from the internet, sprites will not be automatically downloaded resulting in missing sprites. If the game will only work offline for you, you may need to download and import the newest full spritepack from #spritepack-releases. Do NOT download the pack if you plan on also playing while connected to the internet. The spritepacks are also NOT meant to be imported on Android devices!

I updated my game from 6.6.2 to the latest 6.7.2. Sprites are working EXCEPT the ones that were in my team are all borked. I am playing on SteamDeck if that matters but basically the custom sprite I had selected for each pokemon is the same as the default generated sprite. It doesn't fix if I unfuse and re-fuse either

I updated by creating a whole new folder and copied the new game files into it, then pointed steam at the new location. My save file is still accessible and playable, just the sprites for my party members at the time of update are broken

If your game is opening and immediately closing, you likely need to do a full reinstall in a new folder. DO NOT MIX OLD AND NEW FILES!

If you're using the Launcher:

  1. Reinstall version 1.1.2 of the launcher from HERE (Yes, even if you're already on 1.1.2)
  2. Open the settings tab
  3. Click "Reset Config"
    NOTE: The original path that the launcher shows will be your old game folder. That folder should be deleted. The new game folder will be in PIFLauncher(#.#.#)/GameFiles/InfiniteFusion
  4. Install/Update the game files.

If you're not using the Launcher:

Reinstall the Lightweight installer in a NEW folder from Here

If you are on a non-Windows device, follow the [guide](#tech-support message) for your device to reinstall.

Reinstalling on Windows does not affect Save Files in any way. For all other platforms, refer to the installation guides for your device!

Heya, first time Linux user on Linux Mint. I've downloaded the zip file and extracted it, followed the instructions to make a bottle, moved the files into the bottle, ran the updater through the terminal and then tried to run the game.exe file and got a black screen. Tried the infinite fusion.exe and the infinite fusion performance.exe file and again black screen.

Any ideas?

Does anyone know the fix for this error? Trying to play in randomized mode and I get this everytime it reaches the sprite shuffling. (It's a fresh install and no custom sprites have been added ontop of it)

I disabled giving the Trainers randomized custom sprites, I assumed custom sprites just meant it would add sprites that were made by players as opposed to the random fusing it does, but maybe it was having issues due to me not adding any actual "custom sprites" of my own? Not sure, but it's not crashing at that point anymore

Beware of Unofficial Websites That Claim To Be Official.

The only official sources to download the game are here, the game's subreddit or the pokecommunity thread.

To clean out your computer:

  1. Delete all the save files from the fake files. It's not recommended to keep these, as they have bugs and fake data that the normal game doesn't have.
    🔵 Your game folder has a shortcut that you double click named Savefile to take you to the location to delete all save files. They are named File A.rxdata.
  2. Delete any zipped/unzipped folders from there
  3. Run a virus scan

After doing all the steps, use #downloads to download the real files.

  1. Reinstall version 1.1.2 of the launcher from HERE (Yes, even if you're already on 1.1.2)
  2. Open the settings tab
  3. Click "Reset Config"
    NOTE: The original path that the launcher shows will be your old game folder. That folder should be deleted. The new game folder will be in PIFLauncher(#.#.#)/GameFiles/InfiniteFusion

Attempting to edit code to enable debug will void all support. Debug is only obtainable as an in-game reward for catching all 501 Base Pokémon.

Additionally, sharing ways to enable debug or modify code is NOT allowed and we will assume you yourself have done so.

The ONLY way to regain support is to delete your game folder and reinstall using the files linked in #downloads. Even after reinstalling, Tech Support and Gameplay helpers can still deny support if they so choose. Reinstalling will not affect your save files.

REGARDING SPRITE ISSUES:

NOTE: If you are offline and cannot play the game online, download the newest spritepack from #spritepack-releases (NOT APPLICABLE FOR ANDROID)

If you have seen even a single custom or base sprite for any pokemon:
Your game is fine and working properly! The game can only download a limited number of sprites while playing before going on cooldown, you have simply hit the download cap for now.
If you still feel like your sprites are not download, ensure that you have your "download data" option enabled and your device is connected to the internet.

If you have not seen even a single sprite for any pokemon:
Your game is not working properly!
Step 1. Ensure you're on the latest version (check your title screen and compare with #downloads)
Step 2. Ensure you have a good internet connection.
Step 3. Check your options in a save, turn on "download data" if it was turned off.
Step 4. If that did not fix it: head to a pokecenter > talk to the man in a black suit with sunglasses and navigate to Sprite Settings and select "Reset sprite cache" & "Reset displayed alt sprites".
Step 5. If that did not fix it, delete any game or launcher folders and do a full reinstall.
Step 6. After reinstalling, repeat step 4.

If for some reason none of this works, type ?tag altdownload in #ask-a-bot and reinstall using those files (NOT APPLICABLE FOR ANDROID)

  • If you're on or above 6.6.0 double click INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.bat to update.
  • If you're below 6.6.0 you must either reinstall in a NEW folder (since the updater won't work due to bugs) or use the New Launcher to update.
  • Reinstalling doesn’t remove or require you to move any Save Files.
  • If playing on a Randomized save, make sure to reshuffle after updating. Use ?tag reshuffle if you need help.
