After the game has loaded, my screen constantly flashes a black screen and shows the actual game screen back and forth, I can only interact with the game as it's showing on screen but when my screen is black my inputs don't do anything.

Even when I press Alt-F4 to get out of my game (which is already loaded as I've enterred my save file but the black screen still appears), the screen stays black, and only when I lock my laptop and reopen, then does the screen return to show that I've exitted the game.

The game is downloading the sprites, you can turn off your internet to stop the freezing because it stops the download, but your pokemon will always be question marks

The most likely reason your game is opening and closing is due to improperly updated game files. We mention in #downloads to not update ANY files versions below 6.6.0.

Sprite Requirements:

1. Format: The sprite must be in .png format.

Importing Your Sprite:

1. Ensure your sprite meets the criteria above.
2. Open your game folder and navigate to Graphics/CustomBattlers/Sprites to import.

How to Update to the Latest Version (Windows)

• If you're on or above 6.6.0 double click INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.bat to update.
• If you're below 6.6.0 you must either reinstall in a NEW folder (since the updater won't work due to bugs) or use the New Launcher to update.
• Reinstalling doesn’t remove or require you to move any Save Files.
• If playing on a Randomized save, make sure to reshuffle after updating. Use ?tag reshuffle if you need help.

Darkrai/Cresselia Questline bugged, details below:

• The issue arose when arriving on the dream island where you decide to help Cresselia or Darkrai, and especially when trying to ultimately leave the place
• I wanted to help Cresselia, so I filled all tiles with water for a full moon, then got Cresselias feather and tried to sleep in the bed that spawned on the left island side, but that didn't work (no pop-up or interactable bed)
• I had no choice but to go turn all tiles into dry tiles instead to help Darkrai instead, and this worked (walking into the bed made text pop up to progress). I got the Corrupted Feather and could go to sleep on the right island side
• This somehow brought me to the Mareep/Flaafy count quest (the one associated with helping Cresselia), and ultimately I got Cresselia to join me and fought Darkrai to catch it
• Because I "helped" Cresselia, the bed on the left island side spawned, but once again there is no pop-up or interaction possible. BUT the same goes for the other bed on the right side when I turn all tiles dry. I can no longer leave whatsoever and have to use the debugger to escape!

Game Version: v.6.6.2 (Save File created on that version days ago)
Game Files downloaded from the Discord (used the PIF Launcher to install files)
Screenshots added on to provide state after questline is completed, namely:

• Beds without text popup on either island side

Yea, that means something in your save folder is corrupted. I’d recommend just deleting everything in the save folder and relaunching the game

Well yea, because the old saves are deleted if you’re constantly getting corrupted saves though, it’s likely that something on your pc is corrupting them or you’re continuously closing the game while it’s auto-saving

Your game is fine and working properly! The game can only download a limited number of sprites while playing before going on cooldown, you have simply hit the download cap for now.
If you still feel like your sprites are not download, ensure that you have your "download data" option enabled.

If you have not seen even a single sprite for any pokemon:
Your game is not working properly!

• This is likely the result of you messing with files, either to cheat or try to "fix" stuff. OR you have "download data" turned off in options OR your device is not connected to internet.
  Step 1. Ensure you have a good internet connection.
  Step 2. Check your options in a save, turn on "download data" if it was turned off.
  Step 3. If that did not fix it: head to a pokecenter > talk to the man in a black suit with sunglasses > advanced > other > reset > reset sprite cache & reset alt selection.

Randomizing trainers on Remix and Expert Mode will crash trainer battlers.

Steps to fix:

2. Select Advanced Settings -> Randomizer Settings -> Turn Trainers/Gyms OFF

if there's no error message, 2 things are possible

1. something on your side is closing the game and preventing it from running. could be an app, could be an AV, etc. we cant troubleshoot that for you

2. you need to go through the olddata fix:

The most likely reason your game is opening and closing is due to improperly updated game files. We mention in #downloads to not update ANY files versions below 6.6.0.

If you're using the Launcher:

1. Reinstall version 1.1.2 of the launcher from #downloads
2. Open the settings tab
3. Click "Reset Config"
   NOTE: The original path that the launcher shows will be your old game folder. That folder should be deleted. The new game folder will be in PIFLauncher(#.#.#)/GameFiles/InfiniteFusion

If you're not using the Launcher:

Use the Lightweight installer guide to install in a NEW folder ➡️ Click Here⬅️

If you are on a non-Windows device, follow the [guide](#tech-support message) for your device to reinstall.

Reinstalling on Windows does not affect Save Files in any way.

No, I just opened the game like I used to! I clicked on “InfiniteFusion.exe” cause I noticed that some of the sprites download faster on this!

Yup, everything changed! It’s back to normal! Space bar now confirms, and the mini sprites are back!

The game freezes for good sometimes while downloading sprites, reopening the game afterwards fixes the issue, but only to freeze again while downloading another sprite later on. Happens like once every 10-30 minutes so not a big issue, but annoying that it happens. Is there a fix? or is it just a computer/wifi issue on my side

?tag corrupted || generally speaking, saves will only get corrupted if you’re continuously closing the game while’s it’s autosaving

The error you are having is due to a corrupted save in your save folder conflicting with your current save.

Note: Ensure you know which save file is corrupted before continuing. You can see the save slot on the save selection screen.

1. Open your game folder
2. Double click SaveFile
3. Delete the save file causing issues.
4. If you don't know which it is, you can remove the save 1 by 1 from this folder until you find it

If you want to revert your save to a backup, use ?tag backups for more info.

I haven't been closing the game it says save failed then corrupts the save file and I've deleted the corrupted save files over an over but a new one keeps popping up the farthest I've gotten in the game is gym 5 only to lose all my progress to a corrupted save file and the backups dont work
