• If you're on or above 6.6.0 double click INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.bat to update.
• If you're below 6.6.0 you must either reinstall in a NEW folder (since the updater won't work due to bugs) or use the New Launcher to update.
• Reinstalling doesn’t remove or require you to move any Save Files.

technically speaking, your game folder should be in your downloads folder, and nowhere else, otherwise you'd run into permission issues

that might explain why settings aren't saving right, but to be on the safe side, make a new save; change whatever settings you need to, save the game, close the game, relaunch the game to see if they reverted or stuck

if they reverted then I'd err on the side of it being a small permission issue which should get resolved by shoving your PIF folder into Downloads

Going to sound weird, but turn off WiFi/internet on your device and try again. For some reason, even though your internet might be working just fine, something about this game clogs it up. Once you are in game, if issue persists, turn off Download Data as well.

I just recently reinstalled the game through the Discord link, and extracted using winrar. When I launch the game using the "PIFLauncher.exe, it opens the play/update screen and when I click play, it opens a new window, and I can see the game screen, but it closes immediately. to me still sounds like the internet issue.
basically after the intro it does some file checks, it will remain black while doing so, with strict internet NAT and/or slow speeds it can take infinite time.
if the device has no access to internet it will skip the loading post intro.

you can try the full pack option if you want, some devices do struggle unzipping that file since it has a ton of sprites

Hey @verbal timber! To unlock randomized mode: Create a new game, save in Pallet Town, and create a 2nd new game. More options will appear since the 1st save is locked to Classic Mode.

Our randomizer doesn't offer true randomization meaning each Pokemon or item you find is **not ** going to be random each time. Instead we offer the below for Pokemon:
Global:

• Makes it so that if Pidgey was randomized to Pikachu on route 1, all Pidgeys on all routes are Pikachu.

Area:

• Better randomization than Global. Makes it so that each route has their own randomized set of encounters.

Found a level 40 Gengar in Ghost Pokemon Tower. Fused with a a Clefable I had been using up to the 4th gym that was fused with a gyrados and leveling normally. I fused them with super splicers to keep the level 40 from the gengar which would make it the strongest mon I had at the time. Did a couple fights and eventually noticed Genfable isn't getting any XP. Unfused refused still no xp. Unfused they're getting xp, fused with other mons they're getting xp. It's only when they're fused together that for whatever reason they don't get xp. I don't know if this is a niche issue with this mon or what's going on with it. Anyone one got any ideas or am i just SoL on Genfable?

If you're encountering missing sprites

**If you just updated to 6.6, do the reset cache steps mentioned in this #announcements message post.
**The game comes with all sprites preinstalled, up until the February 2025 Pack.
The remaining packs will be downloaded as you play, as long as you have "Download Data" turned on and your device is connected to wifi. You do not need to do anything for them.

Keep in mind, the auto download does not have infinite speed or capacity and will not trigger if you are not actively encountering new sprites (ex; battling, checking the Pokedex, etc.).
After downloading X amount of sprites per time unit Y, it will be paused for a bit. We cannot adjust this limit and there is nothing you can do as the player to skip it or make it go faster.

The first time you encounter a base Pokemon, it will select a random one of all sprites, if it is a new one that hasn't been downloaded yet, it will show as missing.
The same goes for fusions but with a little more nuance. To keep it simple, think of it the same.
Again, nothing wrong with your game. You just hit a download cap.

Note: Updating your game resets all your auto-downloaded sprites. do not attempt to "fix" this with updating. It will just make everything start from the beginning.

Going to sound weird, but turn off WiFi/internet on your device and try again. For some reason, even though your internet might be working just fine, something about this game clogs it up. Once you are in game, if issue persists, turn off Download Data as well.

Onedrive causes many issues in and out of the game. If you see a status column in your game folder or your path has onedrive, that means your game folder is synching to OneDrive and will cause many issues.

To Fix:

1. Move your InfiniteFusion folder to your C:\Users\Your Name\Downloads folder
2. Open the .git folder (use screenshot below if you don't see it) and delete the file named shallow.lock
3. Rerun INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.bat afterwards to redownload any files OneDrive deleted.

The error you are having is due to a corrupted save in your save folder conflicting with your current save.

Note: Ensure you know which save file is corrupted before continuing. You can see the save slot on the save selection screen.

3. Delete the save file causing issues.
4. If you don't know which it is, you can remove the save 1 by 1 from this folder until you find it

The error you are having is due to a corrupted save in your save folder conflicting with your current save.

Note: Ensure you know which save file is corrupted before continuing. You can see the save slot on the save selection screen.

1. Open your game folder
2. Double click SaveFile
3. Delete the save file causing issues.
4. If you don't know which it is, you can remove the save 1 by 1 from this folder until you find it

If you want to revert your save to a backup, use ?tag backups for more info.

The most likely reason your game is opening and closing is due to improperly updated game files. We mention in #downloads to not update ANY files versions below 6.6.0.

If you're using the Launcher:

1. Reinstall version 1.1.2 of the launcher from #downloads
2. Open the settings tab
3. Click "Reset Config"
   NOTE: The original path that the launcher shows will be your old game folder. That folder should be deleted. The new game folder will be in PIFLauncher(#.#.#)/GameFiles/InfiniteFusion

If you're not using the Launcher:

Use the Lightweight installer guide to install in a NEW folder ➡️ Click Here⬅️

If you are on a non-Windows device, follow the [guide](#tech-support message) for your device to reinstall.

Reinstalling on Windows does not affect Save Files in any way.

It's file A (which I understand is locked to classic mode)
All the mons are found in their proper location as per the pokedex.
I have all 501 unfused pokemon checked in my pokedex.
Why isn't the Game Creator NPC giving me the boots?

it sets your game as random
tho there is a warning before you click on it

It's possible that I might have clicked on it before I learned of the existence of debug mode and magic boots.

I've jumped back and forth on multiple files since I've started, but I only just finished my first file now.

If it did, I kinda feel like the warning should include something along the line of "If your game is set to randomized mode, it'll invalidate your file for pokedex completion reward".
