Wondering what the different game files are?

• InfiniteFusion.exe is the normal game. You don't need sprite packs as they are downloaded automatically with the latest sprites as you play.
• Game.exe is a duplicate of InfiniteFusion.exe that will likely be removed in a later update.
• InfiniteFusion-performance.exe is the lighter version of the game required to make it work on slower computers. It has long black screen start up and pc/party sprites are invisible until your next game restart. For new sprites, monthly sprite-packs must be downloaded manually.

Be aware, controllers will be auto mapped to buttons depending on which controller you plug in.

When randomizing the game, you can only randomize Trainers and Gym leaders if you are playing Classic or Randomized Mode.

Randomizing trainers on Remix and Expert Mode will crash trainer battlers.

Steps:

1. Go to a Pokemon Center and talk to Help Man (guy in black suit)
2. Select Advanced Settings -> Randomizer Settings -> Turn Trainers/Gyms OFF

To successfully import your own custom sprite, please follow these steps:

Sprite Requirements:

1. Format: The sprite must be in .png format.
2. Naming Convention: Name your sprite according to the game's dex numbering. For example, a fusion of Aegislash and Goodra should be named 329.446.png.

Importing Your Sprite:

1. Ensure your sprite meets the criteria above.
2. Open your game folder and navigate to Graphics/CustomBattlers/Sprites to import.
3. Paste your sprite into this folder.

In-Game Instructions:

1. Launch the game.
2. The game will automatically detect the new sprites.
3. If you have an existing sprite that you're replacing, select the option "Replace All the old sprites with the new ones" when prompted.

Once completed, you can view your custom sprite in-game from the Pokedex's Sprite tab.

I can't imagine it would cause issues, but maybe I thought it was a subtle way of the devs telling me I'm playing with fire because I used the dev debug menu on the previous save. That or it was a reference or something.

Sorry for the wait, didn't realize i got a response so here.

   The issue is that majority of the sprites in the game are missing, the only way to get it to work is clearing the cache then restarting the game, which only fixes sprites that i have seen before.

How to restore to a backup save

This only works if you had Auto Save turned on and using 6.4+

1. Open your game folder
2. Double click SaveFile
3. Double click the folder named backups
4. Double click the folder of the save slot you’re reverting. Ex: File A
5. Rename the most recent file to File A.rxdata (The letter will be different if you’re reverting a different save slot)
6. Copy the newly renamed file and paste it into the previous folder. (This will be the folder you had open after step 2) When asked to replace, click yes.

Note: If you don't feel comfortable overriding the save, you can rename it to a different letter on step 5. Ex: File B.rxdata instead of File A.rxdata

Beware of Unofficial Websites That Claim To Be Official.

The only official sources to download the game are here, the game's subreddit or the pokecommunity thread.

To clean out your computer:

1. Delete all the save files from the fake files. It's not recommended to keep these, as they have bugs and fake data that the normal game doesn't have.
   🔵 Your game folder has a shortcut that you double click named Savefile to take you to the location to delete all save files. They are named File A.rxdata.
2. Delete any zipped/unzipped folders from there
3. Run a virus scan

After doing all the steps, use #downloads to download the real files.

(I have one fusion with a really cool sprite for head/body but nothing for body/head. I want to use the body/head because it has immensly better stats, so my goal is to edit a file somewhere in order to make the head/body sprite replace the body/head sprite)

To successfully import your own custom sprite, please follow these steps:

Sprite Requirements:

1. Format: The sprite must be in .png format.
2. Naming Convention: Name your sprite according to the game's dex numbering. For example, a fusion of Aegislash and Goodra should be named 329.446.png.

Importing Your Sprite:

1. Ensure your sprite meets the criteria above.
2. Open your game folder and navigate to Graphics/CustomBattlers/Sprites to import.
3. Paste your sprite into this folder.

In-Game Instructions:

1. Launch the game.
2. The game will automatically detect the new sprites.
3. If you have an existing sprite that you're replacing, select the option "Replace All the old sprites with the new ones" when prompted.

Once completed, you can view your custom sprite in-game from the Pokedex's Sprite tab.

Hey @scenic nova! To unlock randomized mode: Create a new game, save in Pallet Town, and create a 2nd new game. More options will appear since the 1st save is locked to Classic Mode.

Our randomizer doesn't offer true randomization meaning each Pokemon or item you find is **not ** going to be random each time. Instead we offer the below for Pokemon:
Global:

• Makes it so that if Pidgey was randomized to Pikachu on route 1, all Pidgeys on all routes are Pikachu.

Area:

• Better randomization than Global. Makes it so that each route has their own randomized set of encounters.

Description of Issue + Steps to Reproduce.: In the Cerulean Temporary Rocket HQ Building Place, the one with the Wimpod in the basement, using the Favorite Outfit key item to change out of the Rocket Uniform while standing in a specific place will lead to being teleported out of the building and into the Hotel's collision in the overworld, preventing you from moving. possible that doing so in different places will send you to different, equally-immovable places, didn't test it
What you were doing in game when the issue arose.: Seeing what would happen if I used the Favorite Outfit in the presence of Team Rocket.

I tried editing the .rb files to give me debug mode. When I open the game, I can load into the game, I get a menu asking if I want to update sprites, and then I get a menu asking if I want to save the game. Regardless of what I choose in these menus, after I get out of them, the Pokemon Centre I was in disappears and the game looks like this.

I can move around and access the menu, but I can't exit the area. I tried reinstalling the game, and replacing my save with a backup from the backup saves folder. This hasn't fixed the problem. Is there anything I can do to recover the save data? I can't talk to the helper guy.

If you're encountering missing sprites

**If you just updated to 6.6, do the reset cache steps mentioned in this #announcements message post.
**The game comes with all sprites preinstalled, up until the February 2025 Pack.
The remaining packs will be downloaded as you play, as long as you have "Download Data" turned on and your device is connected to wifi. You do not need to do anything for them.

Keep in mind, the auto download does not have infinite speed or capacity and will not trigger if you are not actively encountering new sprites (ex; battling, checking the Pokedex, etc.).
After downloading X amount of sprites per time unit Y, it will be paused for a bit. We cannot adjust this limit and there is nothing you can do as the player to skip it or make it go faster.

The first time you encounter a base Pokemon, it will select a random one of all sprites, if it is a new one that hasn't been downloaded yet, it will show as missing.
The same goes for fusions but with a little more nuance. To keep it simple, think of it the same.
Again, nothing wrong with your game. You just hit a download cap.

Note: Updating your game resets all your auto-downloaded sprites. do not attempt to "fix" this with updating. It will just make everything start from the beginning.

Sprite Requirements:

1. Format: The sprite must be in .png format.

Importing Your Sprite:

1. Ensure your sprite meets the criteria above.
2. Open your game folder and navigate to Graphics/CustomBattlers/Sprites to import.
3. Paste your sprite into this folder.

In-Game Instructions:

Going to sound weird, but turn off WiFi/internet on your device and try again. For some reason, even though your internet might be working just fine, something about this game clogs it up. Once you are in game, if issue persists, turn off Download Data as well.

Obviously I delete all the files after learning the terrible truth! But the thing is: I launched the game.ex on my Steam Deck with Proton Experimental. Nothing weird happen. No terminal or anything like that.

I was wondering if some Steam Deck user also report downloading the game from a fake source and if they encounter any problem, malware? It's Linux so I not sure if I should worry or not. 🥲

Beware of Unofficial Websites That Claim To Be Official.

The only official sources to download the game are here, the game's subreddit or the pokecommunity thread.

To clean out your computer:

1. Delete all the save files from the fake files. It's not recommended to keep these, as they have bugs and fake data that the normal game doesn't have.
   🔵 Your game folder has a shortcut that you double click named Savefile to take you to the location to delete all save files. They are named File A.rxdata.
2. Delete any zipped/unzipped folders from there
3. Run a virus scan

After doing all the steps, use #downloads to download the real files.

The most likely reason your game is opening and closing is due to improperly updated game files. We mention in #downloads to not update ANY files versions below 6.6.0.

If you're using the Launcher:

1. Reinstall version 1.1.2 of the launcher from #downloads
2. Open the settings tab
3. Click "Reset Config"
   NOTE: The original path that the launcher shows will be your old game folder. That folder should be deleted. The new game folder will be in PIFLauncher(#.#.#)/GameFiles/InfiniteFusion

If you're not using the Launcher:

One problem. Sprites are not loading properly. All my fusions have the autogen and when I look in the pokedex often they just have blank slots for the sprite selection of they are a question mark. I need help with two things.

Recently I updated the game to the latest version, the latest sprite pack and then reinstalled my computer, because some programs did not run as they should've. My issue is that my Pokemon team reverted back to their auto-sprites and some of my sprites like Electrode+Electrode=FF Mage disappeared from the custom sprite page. To try and fix this, I reinstalled the game and downloaded the latest sprite packs but the issue still persist.

My other problem is that I caught a Shiny Ratatta+Normal Doduo fusion. I unfused It and Ratatta (now a Raticate) had a black star. There was a post on Reddit, and the top comment said that black stars are used to label hacked Shinies. I can assure you It's not hacked, although I think It is a PokeRadar encounter. Is there a way to fix It with a future update?

Hey @viral notch! Looking for the Pokéradar? You can obtain it from Professor Oak's Assistant on Route 24, but she only appears after you meet her in the Cerulean Pokécenter.

When you use the Pokéradar, a repel automatically activates and grass will shake. This indicates which tile the Pokémon is in. If you are having issues with the encounters fleeing or need more info, use the Wiki Page: Wiki LINK

The error you are having is due to a corrupted save in your save folder conflicting with your current save.

Note: Ensure you know which save file is corrupted before continuing. You can see the save slot on the save selection screen.

1. Open your game folder
2. Double click SaveFile
3. Delete the save file causing issues.
4. If you don't know which it is, you can remove the save 1 by 1 from this folder until you find it

If you want to revert your save to a backup, use ?tag backups for more info.

hi, I'd like to report a bug. so in the team rocket hideout in cerulean city, i changed my outfit inside and was kicked out and placed in the tile above the entrance to the hotel on the left. couldn't move or anything, so i used the debugger to teleport to the pokemon center

i have a video of me encountering the bug as well in case it's needed

I just reinstalled the game and the sprits still arn't coming back, whats going on?

If you're encountering missing sprites

**If you just updated to 6.6, do the reset cache steps mentioned in this #announcements message post.
**The game comes with all sprites preinstalled, up until the February 2025 Pack.
The remaining packs will be downloaded as you play, as long as you have "Download Data" turned on and your device is connected to wifi. You do not need to do anything for them.

Keep in mind, the auto download does not have infinite speed or capacity and will not trigger if you are not actively encountering new sprites (ex; battling, checking the Pokedex, etc.).
After downloading X amount of sprites per time unit Y, it will be paused for a bit. We cannot adjust this limit and there is nothing you can do as the player to skip it or make it go faster.

The first time you encounter a base Pokemon, it will select a random one of all sprites, if it is a new one that hasn't been downloaded yet, it will show as missing.
The same goes for fusions but with a little more nuance. To keep it simple, think of it the same.
Again, nothing wrong with your game. You just hit a download cap.

Note: Updating your game resets all your auto-downloaded sprites. do not attempt to "fix" this with updating. It will just make everything start from the beginning.

For missing sprites on the 6.6 update, talk to the help man in any Pokémon center and navigate to Advanced Options -> Other -> Reset -> Clear Sprite Cache. Video

If you're not using the Launcher:

Use the Lightweight installer guide to install in a NEW folder ➡️ Click Here⬅️

Im having the same problem, the fix above suggested updating the launcher to 1.1.2 so I did but the folder in the 1.1.2 link is titled 1.1.0 and didnt fix the problem at all so Im at a loss
