Wondering what the different game files are?

• Game.exe is the normal game. You don't need sprite packs as they are downloaded automatically with the latest sprites as you play.
• Game-performance.exe is the lighter version of the game required to make it work on slower computers. It has long black screen start up and pc/party sprites are invisible until your next game restart. For new sprites, monthly sprite-packs must be downloaded manually.

The game was made for PC, it's already a small miracle that it runs properly on some phones at all and there is not much we can help with if it does not do so on your phone.

When randomizing the game, you can only randomize Trainers and Gym leaders if you are playing Classic or Randomized Mode.

Randomizing trainers on Remix and Expert Mode will crash trainer battlers.

Steps:

1. Go to a Pokemon Center and talk to Help Man (guy in black suit)
2. Select Advanced Settings -> Randomizer Settings -> Turn Trainers/Gyms OFF

Both are issues with your internet. The game requires you to be connected to internet and on the latest version to get sprites properly:

• HotSpot/Mobile Data doesn't count.

How to Reset your Sprite Pull:

1. Open your menu in game and select Options.
2. Go to the option named Download Spritesand turn it OFF.
3. Leave the menu by pressing Enter on Confirm at the bottom or pressing B (if you don't, this won't work).
4. Open options again and turn Download Sprites back ON.
5. Save your game and close it. Reopen the game and your sprites should appear.

the first time you encounter anything it selects a random sprite out of all the ones available.
in your case it selected one from a newer spritepack - but you had hit a cap - thus wasnt able to download it yet - thus displayed an empty one.

hello there, sorry to be a pain but when I try and play the infinite fusion, it gives me the "RGSS script appears to be stuck" error, but when I go to the suggested video/instruction on the FAQ on the wiki, it says that DEP cant be used on 64 bit programs. I am playing the game using the v1.1.1 Beta launcher. The game version is v.6.5.1. Download data is turned on, I've restarted the game after saving several times, and I have gotten the prompt for new sprites being downloaded. However, if the Infinite Dex is to be believed, it seems my game sprites are not being updated. I'm not really sure where to go from here.

Hi I'm having an issue on Linux launching the game. I'm running Arch and have everything set to run it through steam. I get up to the last step and have the issue launching. I forced steam to use the compatability layer I downloaded and when I launch the game I get a black screen and an error. It said it couldn't access /Data/Scripts.rxdata so I fixed that. Then it showed me this. I made a Scripts folder in Data as well, but then it just shows the black screen for only a second before disappearing when I launch

Incidentally I did go to my Pokedex and holy why are there so many missing sprites I'm pretty sure I fought these Pokemon with the sprites there before lol

If you continue playing for a few days, the game will continue to download sprites from the last two sprite packs as you play.
There is a limit on how many can be downloaded each day, which is often what results into these missing sprites but it should fix itself as you continue playing over a few days.

If you really can't wait, you can download february and march packs and add them manually, but it is not a mandatory step and just playing will get you the sprites over time.

Oh, if you turned off download data for that reason, your best steps would be to update the game (to reset the sprites).
As long as you don't enable it again, you should be fine even without the sprite packs (and you can add them manually if you want the sprites from them).

I will lay it out for you as clear as I can.

whenever you encounter a pokemon for the first time, the game selects a random sprite out of all the sprites available for that pokemon.
the "sprites available" isnt read from actual images, but rather from a text list with all the names of sprites and artists.

invisible sprites can be 1 of 3 things:

• The game selected a sprite that is on the list, but not yet downloaded due to hitting the download cap. This cannot be changed as Frog would rather not pay thousands of dollars for sprites.
• Download data is turned off. the game selected a sprite that is on the list, but was not actually manually installed. Either because the full spritepack was not properly installed or was missing a sprite.
• Hardware is not up to par and unable to load a sprite in time, or does not have permission to.

missing sprites can be 1 of 2 things:

• There is a mistake in the list of sprites the game selects for, making it blind for that sprite. Even if the sprite is in the files.
• The sprite was removed at the request of the artist

Troubleshooting for a sprite would go something like this:

1. check the alts in game
2. grab the number+alt letter
3. check the credit sheet for this number+letter combo
   if in there: the game knows it exists. if not: the game is blind for it or it is simply not in game.
4. check the online dex to see if the sprite matches the nr+letter you expect.
5. check the spritesheet for that specific fusion
6. check the spritepack

When randomizing the game, you can only randomize Trainers and Gym leaders if you are playing Classic or Randomized Mode.

Randomizing trainers on Remix and Expert Mode will crash trainer battlers.

Steps:

1. Go to a Pokemon Center and talk to Help Man (guy in black suit)
2. Select Advanced Settings -> Randomizer Settings -> Turn Trainers/Gyms OFF

How to restore to a backup save

This only works if you had Auto Save turned on and using 6.4+

1. Open your game folder
2. Double click SaveFile
3. Double click the folder named backups
4. Double click the folder of the save slot you’re reverting. Ex: File A
5. Rename the most recent file to File A.rxdata (The letter will be different if you’re reverting a different save slot)
6. Copy the newly renamed file and paste it into the previous folder. (This will be the folder you had open after step 2) When asked to replace, click yes.

Note: If you don't feel comfortable overriding the save, you can rename it to a different letter on step 5. Ex: File B.rxdata instead of File A.rxdata

Onedrive causes many issues in and out of the game. If you see a status column in your game folder or your path has onedrive, that means your game folder is synching to OneDrive and will cause many issues.

To Fix:

1. Move your InfiniteFusion folder to your C:\Users\Your Name\Downloads folder
2. Open the .git folder (use screenshot below if you don't see it) and delete the file named shallow.lock
3. Rerun INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.bat afterwards to redownload any files OneDrive deleted.

Going to sound weird, but turn off WiFi/internet on your device and try again. For some reason, even though your internet might be working just fine, something about this game clogs it up. Once you are in game, if issue persists, turn off Download Data as well.

Git has locked your game folder from installing/updating. To fix:

1. Open your game folder.

So I've been finding missing sprites in my game when I go to change sprites from the pokedex. I was going to just download the sprite packs and import them manually, but as I'm using the launcher I wanted to make sure that wasn't going to break anything. I couldn't find any info on that anywhere and assumed I should ask here.

It won't break anything but as long as you have "download data" turned on, the game will automatically download the last two packs as you play

Okay I'm playing the game and I'm on the screen where it asks for the name age and everything, I can enter everything but when I type the name it doesn't show

By default it is "keyboard" mode, meaning you can just type normally and hit enter to confirm.

It sets it to "Red" if you cancel by hitting escape as it is the default name for the protagonist.

The only official sources to download the game are here, the game's subreddit or the pokecommunity thread.

To clean out your computer:

1. Delete all the save files from the fake files. It's not recommended to keep these, as they have bugs and fake data that the normal game doesn't have.
   🔵 Your game folder has a shortcut that you double click named Savefile to take you to the location to delete all save files. They are named File A.rxdata.
2. Delete any zipped/unzipped folders from there
3. Run a virus scan

After doing all the steps, use #downloads to download the real files.

Going to sound weird, but turn off WiFi/internet on your device and try again. For some reason, even though your internet might be working just fine, something about this game clogs it up. Once you are in game, if issue persists, turn off Download Data as well.

Beware of Unofficial Websites That Claim To Be Official.

The only official sources to download the game are here, the game's subreddit or the pokecommunity thread.

To clean out your computer:

1. Delete all the save files from the fake files. It's not recommended to keep these, as they have bugs and fake data that the normal game doesn't have.
   🔵 Your game folder has a shortcut that you double click named Savefile to take you to the location to delete all save files. They are named File A.rxdata.
2. Delete any zipped/unzipped folders from there
3. Run a virus scan

After doing all the steps, use #downloads to download the real files.

Escape does open the menu. And so does x but it works oddly. I wasn't expecting to have such odd issues. With the controls. In game the directional buttons are normal but in menu right goes left and vice versa. And I still can't get the other buttons to respond
