Going to sound weird, but turn off WiFi/internet on your device and try again. For some reason, even though your internet might be working just fine, something about this game clogs it up. Once you are in game, if issue persists, turn off Download Data as well.

What I think is happening:
the latest pack added A LOT (like literally hundreds if not thousands) of base sprites. When the game is selecting a default sprite, it chooses a random sprite to display but in some cases it’s picking a sprite that hasn’t been downloaded by the game yet. In theory, this should fix itself as you play and the game downloads the sprites. Reinstalling or updating would reset this, however.

And until it’s re-downloaded, it won’t show

Disable the random trainers. Remix uses specific trainers that cannot be affected by the randomizer, or it causes this error.

Hey @short fern! To unlock randomized mode: Create a new game, save in Pallet Town, and create a 2nd new game. More options will appear since the 1st save is locked to Classic Mode.

Our randomizer doesn't offer true randomization meaning each Pokemon or item you find is **not ** going to be random each time. Instead we offer the below for Pokemon:
Global:

• Makes it so that if Pidgey was randomized to Pikachu on route 1, all Pidgeys on all routes are Pikachu.

Area:

• Better randomization than Global. Makes it so that each route has their own randomized set of encounters.

How to restore to a backup save

This only works if you had Auto Save turned on and using 6.4+

1. Open your game folder
2. Double click SaveFile
3. Double click the folder named backups
4. Double click the folder of the save slot you’re reverting. Ex: File A
5. Rename the most recent file to File A.rxdata (The letter will be different if you’re reverting a different save slot)
6. Copy the newly renamed file and paste it into the previous folder. (This will be the folder you had open after step 2) When asked to replace, click yes.

Note: If you don't feel comfortable overriding the save, you can rename it to a different letter on step 5. Ex: File B.rxdata instead of File A.rxdata

I'm having trouble with sprites not loading on the pc version of infinite fusion when moving a mobile save over, I tried the usual method of toggling 'download sprites' off and on but it didn't work. I think i have now found the issue:
When parsing sprites for a new randomized run, the pc version detects 175,742 sprites, however the mobile version detects 182,518

I've tried reinstalling the pc version and both games are version 6.5.1, does anyone know the solution/fix to this? starting a save on pc instead of mobile for transfer so theres no sprites the pc can't load is an option if there isn't a solution

if so that would account for the difference

outside that, pc and mobile have access to the same sprites

it sounds like you might be doing a custom sprites only run, which i would actually recommend you not do, because it severely cuts what pokemon you see/can catch by a good chunk [also that setting can't account for pokemon that might not have custom sprites through their entire evo line]

Thanks for the help, I've had a friend check their clean install of IF on pc and their randomize run parses 182,518 sprites, so it seems like for some reason its the PC version is wrong and not detecting all online sprites? The best way to farm exp is through trainer rematches. You can talk to a trainer again and get the option to rebattle them. The more you battle them, the higher the level they become and their Pokémon can evolve as well.

Number of Rematches:

• After 4 rematches, the head Pokémon will evolve regardless of badges.
• After 9 rematches and gaining 3 or more badges, the head and body Pokémon will evolve.
• After 19 rematches and gaining 3 or more badges, it will evolve again.
• After 29 rematches and gaining 6 or more badges, it will evolve again if not maxed already.

Below are the best trainers to rebattle for exp on their respective modes
Classic (Left)

• Cool Trainer Sofia outside of the League has a lvl 42 Chansey.

Remix (Right)

So the trash can surge gym bug is back, except it requires a full on reset to be fixed.

I was doing the lt. Surge puzzle and got the 2nd button wrong. However, there were no buttons at all in the trash cans. I beat the trainers beforehand and healed before starting the "puzzle".

I left and re-entered the gym multiple times, I had to reset inside the gym then leave and re-enter to fix it.

I checked bug-reports and apparently this was supposed to be fixed by removing the trubbish in 6.1. Im playing on the latest version on pc. I doubt it has anything to do with this but I also have debug enabled, cause it worked after i reset inside the gym and re-entered.

Hello! sry for butting in with a different problem, but me and my friend wanted to play this game, but we noticed some bigger and some smaller differences between our games.
Starter pokémon sprites were different, and even our settings are different. he has battle type settings, I don't. We want to play the game together, but these differences are only after 2 minutes of playing.
We checked, and the game has the same version number in the main menu.

Android requires a full reinstall to update and those saves are located in the save folder so the player needs to manually move it. Android guide goes over it however

1. visit a pokemon center and speak with the help man and have him fix the game
2. in the event that fails, try rerunning the batch installer

Flash is for clearing 1 quest (not counting team rocket quests).
The scientist should tell you how many you helped on top of the "5 more".
5 more could be that you currently have 5, 10, 15, 25, 45 or 55 quests cleared for example so it is not very helpful to try to help you.

I believe the rewards changed somewhere in version 6, so maybe that is what is causing issues with your save.

I would double-check your TM inventory, HMs can end up being a bit hidden in there.

This is now my third time experiencing a crash in a particular room on the SS Anne. The room with Sailor Duncan and the rare candy. Kind of annoying since I can't leave the room until I battle him. I don't know when autosave became a thing, but it's kind of screwed me over

Many people have onedrive enabled - without the knowledge of what locations it is enabled on.

they move stuff to their desktop (a common onedrive location), the files are not touched directly, thus onedrive thinks "huh, these files are not getting opened by the user, might as well delete them and only keep them in the cloud" - then their install is broken

an permissions issues, the downloads folder has the most loose read/write permissions and is thus least likely to cause permission issues

Give your device a restart. not turning it off and on. actually using the windows menu restart option.

just as a tip to anyone using the spritepacks, or if this crash happens to online users also; sprite 454.493 (found in graphics > CustomBattlers > local_sprites > indexed > 454), has the extension .png, but causes a crash as it is still read as a .webp, changing its extension to webp, then saving out a png of it in photoshop etc should fix it, as it will cause a crash if attempting to load otherwise (its a mareanie/scraggy sprite), or deleting that one and downloading this png i have saved out correctly

When randomizing the game, you can only randomize Trainers and Gym leaders if you are playing Classic or Randomized Mode.

Randomizing trainers on Remix and Expert Mode will crash trainer battlers.

Steps:

1. Go to a Pokemon Center and talk to Help Man (guy in black suit)
2. Select Advanced Settings -> Randomizer Settings -> Turn Trainers/Gyms OFF

Just installed the game, have left the folder in downloads. Have reinstalled. Have tried running as admin, and have restarted my PC. But when I click play it opens a black box and then closes. Don't get an error or anything. Any ideas what could be causing it?
