In our 6.4+ update, the reason your game is opening and closing is due to a bug with the updater. We mention in #downloads that it is best for this update to reinstall the game, and not update ANY files versions 6.4.2 and below. Reinstalling doesn't remove or require you to move any Save Files.

6.4 has drastically changed how to change your appearance in game. Old themed sprites to change your character to a different NPC will not work anymore. New sprites are being made in #1050404143807873157 if you filter by Player Customization.

Below is how to apply NEW customizations to your player character as long as you are on version 6.4.7 or higher:

Example of overriding default clothes to Hex Maniac:

  • If your player character is female, use leaf instead of red in all references below.
  1. Delete all the clothes files from: InfiniteFusion\Graphics\Characters\player\clothes\red
  2. Copy all the clothes files from: InfiniteFusion\Graphics\Characters\player\clothes\HexManiac
  3. Paste the files here: InfiniteFusion\Graphics\Characters\player\clothes\red
  4. Rename each file to replace HexManiac with red
  • For example, one of the clothing sprites for Hex Maniac is: clothes_bike_HexManiac.png. You would need to rename it to clothes_bike_red.png. Do this for all clothing files.
  • Afterwards, open your game, press Escape and go to the Outfits option. The Red clothing will now be Hex Maniac instead. The same concept is applied for hair and hats.

Beware of Unofficial Websites That Claim To Be Official.

The only official sources to download the game are here, the game's subreddit or the pokecommunity thread.

To clean out your computer:

  1. Delete all the save files from the fake files. It's not recommended to keep these, as they have bugs and fake data that the normal game doesn't have.
    🔵 Your game folder has a shortcut that you double click named Savefile to take you to the location to delete all save files. They are named File A.rxdata.
  2. Delete any zipped/unzipped folders from there
  3. Run a virus scan

After doing all the steps, use #downloads to download the real files.

Going to sound weird, but turn off WiFi/internet on your device and try again. For some reason, even though your internet might be working just fine, something about this game clogs it up. Once you are in game, if issue persists, turn off Download Data as well.

Hey @weary sigil! To unlock randomized mode: Create a new game, save in Pallet Town, and create a 2nd new game. More options will appear since the 1st save is locked to Classic Mode.

Our randomizer doesn't offer true randomization meaning each Pokemon or item you find is **not ** going to be random each time. Instead we offer the below for Pokemon:
Global:

  • Makes it so that if Pidgey was randomized to Pikachu on route 1, all Pidgeys on all routes are Pikachu.

Area:

  • Better randomization than Global. Makes it so that each route has their own randomized set of encounters.

How to restore to a backup save

This only works if you had Auto Save turned on and using 6.4+

  1. Open your game folder
  2. Double click SaveFile
  3. Double click the folder named backups
  4. Double click the folder of the save slot you’re reverting. Ex: File A
  5. Rename the most recent file to File A.rxdata (The letter will be different if you’re reverting a different save slot)
  6. Copy the newly renamed file and paste it into the previous folder. (This will be the folder you had open after step 2) When asked to replace, click yes.

Note: If you don't feel comfortable overriding the save, you can rename it to a different letter on step 5. Ex: File B.rxdata instead of File A.rxdata

Hey, I followed the app installer update instructions and it keeps downloading the out of date version. It sends me to the GitHub auto install and then I get this whenever it is done updating and reinstalling.

Hi! Whenever I try to launch the game, the window pops up for a moment then closes itself. I tried running the update.bat file which didn't work, so I then scrapped the whole folder and tried with a fresh download of the lightweight installer. You should be able to update using the Launcher normally.
If you're trying to use the cheats, just like the error tells you, it's an April Fools joke.

When you open the launcher, it says you need to update, so you can either direct it to your old files, which I don't recommend
or click Reset Config, which should allow you to store the files into the folder you have the launcher in

I'm running a randomized game, was lucky enough to get an abra and now have the pokeradar, but any time i use it in a route besides route 24, it only shows black dna sprites, and walking into any patches gives me unrandomized pokemon native to the route. Is there any way to fix this or is pokeradar just not usable on randomized runs?

When randomizing the game, you can only randomize Trainers and Gym leaders if you are playing Classic or Randomized Mode.

Randomizing trainers on Remix and Expert Mode will crash trainer battlers.

Steps:

  1. Go to a Pokemon Center and talk to Help Man (guy in black suit)
  2. Select Advanced Settings -> Randomizer Settings -> Turn Trainers/Gyms OFF

Hi. I need help, every time I try launching the game, it takes ages to load. Not only that, if I click enter or space during the intro scene. The game itself will freeze, but the music is still playing in the background and not let me play the game. I have to basically wait, until the cut scene is done, and wait another few minutes, until the animation of the Pokemon fusing to be able to play. I have redownloaded it as well, but I still encounter the same problem

The only official sources to download the game are here, the game's subreddit or the pokecommunity thread.

To clean out your computer:

  1. Delete all the save files from the fake files. It's not recommended to keep these, as they have bugs and fake data that the normal game doesn't have.
    🔵 Your game folder has a shortcut that you double click named Savefile to take you to the location to delete all save files. They are named File A.rxdata.
  2. Delete any zipped/unzipped folders from there
  3. Run a virus scan

If you have only pokemon randomized, you need to Reshuffle Wild Pokemon. If you have more options, reshuffle each.

Hello, I just had to reinstall the game, it now has a launcher, I followed everything in the Launcher to a t. Yet I am having an issue that when I click play it window pops up and than closes, I tried to run it as Admin as well, having the same issues.
