ok, I see where I had the issue. I didn't realize I had two folders of the game installed. I thought the launcher installed the game inside the launcher folder. But it installed it outside of it. I put the sprite inside the files that were in the launcher, but it was linked to the one outside of it

Heyo, I really confused rn. Yesterday tech support helped me figuring out I downloaded the game from a fake website, instructed me to delete all the files and run a scan. I did both (nothing weird found thankfully) and installed the game again from the discord this time. Now I'm booting it up and my saves from the fake game are still there even though I deleted them? Does someone have an idea how that happened?

How to restore to a backup save

This only works if you had Auto Save turned on and using 6.4+

1. Open your game folder
2. Double click SaveFile
3. There is a folder named backups. Open it.
4. If your save slot was A, go to the File A folder
5. Rename whichever save file you want to revert back to "File A.rxdata"
6. Copy the save and replace your corrupted/old save with this new one you renamed
   Note: If you don't feel comfortable overriding the save, you can rename it to a different letter instead on step 6.

thats not something we control, as we have no control of either android nor joiplay.

best advice is to snoop around joiplay settings for the keybinds.

Yeah, except it doesn't, all it tells me is that the issue comes from me losing connection to the game server, but I'm using discord here on the machine I'm trying to install it on and having no connection issues.

different tools use internet differently.
this tool has a 0 tolerance policy when it comes to dropped packets. because it is based on a development tool, not a distribution tool.

reality is - you are losing packets of data left, right, and center constantly. but simply don't notice it.
most consumer tools have tolerance for dropped packets and will simply retry without you knowing (this is what steam does).
other services build up a buffer, so that if you drop packets, it has a buffer of stuff to show you while it retries the lost packets (this is what youtube does)

and discord, being text based, and not a stream of data is hyper tolerant to lost packets.
because it only has to try for packets once in a while, rather than continuously like a download or stream

hello, before I make a bug post, so I having issues at the moment where I have beat the game and now in post game, I am trying to get Entei after Unintentionally defeating it but upon using weather tracker It was Thunderstom, upon inspection it was the fusion pokemon but not Entei which was odd since I HAVE the fusion and do not understand why Entei is coming back even though they are listen in the pokemon that will respawn in post game

My issue was that neither the installer nor the updater worked, neither the fresh download of the lightweight installer or the launcher worked, giving the same error. My backup files, which needed to be updated, did work.

they use the same call to install the game so . If it works for you, it works. We can't control how git pulls the code to your computer over the internet

git isnt great for handling a large game and pulling it down, but that is just how this game is and why the launcher gives you the installed game to avoid using git.

While I'm here, whenever I play randomized mode, the luvdisc gift mon doesn't get randomized, even when I set the gift mon to be randomized in the initial settings. Is this a known issue?

Yeah, and it only happens with this luvdisc. Other gift mon randomize just fine. Luvdisc was just added to this update, so might be the dev wanting everyone to start with it but we have a bug report for it as well 👍

Git has locked your game folder from updating. To fix:

1. Open your game folder.
2. Enable the setting to view hidden files. Screenshot below shows how to see that.
3. Delete the .git folder you will see in your folder now
4. Delete your Data folder (This will reset your game data, but it will keep your save data)

That sounds like OneDrive messed up your files. This is why we recommend to not install in the OneDrive folder because they always revert game files and delete them.

I would recommend to reinstall the game in your downloads folder because it doesn’t sync to OneDrive by default there and see if everything goes well from there.

To successfully import your own custom sprite, please follow these steps:

Importing Your Sprite:

1. Ensure your sprite meets the criteria above.
2. Open your game folder and navigate to Graphics/Custom Battlers/Sprites to import.
3. Paste your sprite into this folder.

In-Game Instructions:

1. Launch the game.
2. The game will automatically detect the new sprites.
3. If you have an existing sprite that you're replacing, select the option "Replace All the old sprites with the new ones" when prompted.

When I attempt to drag the zip into the linux files tab, it turns red with a 🚫 symbol. Pasting doesn’t work either for the zip when I’m on the linux tab.

I mean, we can’t really help much due to those horrid Internet speed. Even when you open the game, you’re gonna experience a lot of slowness due to that because 6.4 for some reason has an Internet check in the beginning, causing issues if your Internet is having issues or slow.

On top of using Chromebook, which we don’t natively support

The only official sources to download the game are here, the game's subreddit or the pokecommunity thread.

If you did download from a fake site, go through these steps:

1. Delete all the save files from the fake files. It's not recommended to keep these, as they have bugs and data that the normal game doesn't have.
   🔵 Your game folder has a shortcut that you double click named Savefile to take you to the location to delete all save files. They are named File A.rxdata.
2. Delete any zipped/unzipped folders from there
3. Run a virus scan

To successfully import your own custom sprite, please follow these steps:

Sprite Requirements:

1. Format: The sprite must be in .png format.
2. Naming Convention: Name your sprite according to the game's dex numbering. For example, a fusion of Aegislash and Goodra should be named 329.446.png.

Importing Your Sprite:

1. Ensure your sprite meets the criteria above.
2. Open your game folder and navigate to Graphics/Custom Battlers/Sprites to import.
3. Paste your sprite into this folder.

In-Game Instructions:

1. Launch the game.
2. The game will automatically detect the new sprites.
3. If you have an existing sprite that you're replacing, select the option "Replace All the old sprites with the new ones" when prompted.

Once completed, you can view your custom sprite in-game from the Pokedex's Sprite tab.

Also restarting your computer, not shut down, but restarting will help
