Hey @waxen canyon! If your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. The duration of the black screen depends on YOUR computer. Especially if you just imported sprites. The game needs time to process the hundred of thousands of sprites you imported.

Hi, i am wondering if fetching sprites from the internet is always up to date or if i have to redownload or update the game itself for new sprites to be added. Does anyone know? Also, how many generations are currently in the game playable?

the new repo will only grab sprites while in battle, and even then there is a limit of how many sprites it will download per minute before it hits a cap, at which point it will stop grabbing sprites and default to using autogen sprites for fusions [the new repo comes with 6.3, which we do not have an eta for]

when sprites get added to the repo all you need to do, once 6.3 is fully released, is make sure the download data option is turned on, and then the game will grab sprites while in battle up to a certain amount per every minute

When randomizing the game, you can only randomize Trainers and Gym leaders if you are playing Classic or Randomized Mode.

Randomizing trainers on Remix and Expert Mode will crash trainer battlers.

Steps:

1. Go to a Pokemon Center and talk to Help Man (guy in black suit)
2. Select Advanced Settings -> Randomizer Settings -> Turn Trainers/Gyms OFF

Go to System Preferences --> Security and Privacy, Find Full disk access, and add terminal.app. Your terminal doesn't have permission to write to your disc in an unlimited capacity, meaning it can't create the files on your disc

This USUALLY spits out a permission error code but sometimes it can’t find the file to even check perms

Yeah, so the only thing you can do is on the top left click terminal and go into settings and uncheck any options about restoring the last session when opening the terminal

Not with this installation. This is a standard Wine, Homebrew installation that you would install to play any windows game on your Mac.

Randomised mode is only offered if you already have a save file, so that people will play classic mode for their first playthrough.
You can start a game, save, quit, and start a new game if you want to play random, but it's not recommended to randomise trainers for your first time.

Area:

When randomizing the game, you can only randomize Trainers and Gym leaders if you are playing Classic or Randomized Mode.

Randomizing trainers on Remix and Expert Mode will crash trainer battlers.

Steps:

1. Go to a Pokemon Center and talk to Help Man (guy in black suit)
2. Select Advanced Settings -> Randomizer Settings -> Turn Trainers/Gyms OFF

Hey @mystic coral! If your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. The duration of the black screen depends on YOUR computer. Especially if you just imported sprites. The game needs time to process the hundred of thousands of sprites you imported.

Wondering what the different game files are?

• Game.exe is the normal game. You don't need sprite packs as they are downloaded automatically with the latest sprites as you play.
• Game-default.exe is just a copy of the above.
• Game-preloaded.exe is the lesser version of the game just to make it work on slower computers. It requires ALL sprites to be local on your computer to work properly, but has long black screen start up and pc/party sprites are invisible until your next game restart.

Old data in your Game folder is crashing or causing issues with your game. To fix:

Lightweight Installer:

1. Open your Game Folder
2. Delete your Data folder (This will not delete your saved data)

your graphics card doesn't like MKXP, or more specifically, OpenGL. Cass posted about this in the dev blog, but it was weird for me bc I have a geforce RTX 2060 which should be compatible-- but I found that in the graphics settings, the computer was running the game with the integrated graphics, which isn't compatible.

TLDR: Graphics settings in computer settings --> in "choose an app to set preference" pick "desktop app" and select the game.exe --> in "Options" set to your graphics card (probably listed as "high performance") instead of "let windows decide" or "Intel UHD Graphics"

This sometimes fixes kinda mystery bugs on top line Graphics setups

If you are having issues with sprites after using our new zip, this means you did not set it up correctly. Reasons it didn't work:

1. You didn't use our 2.6 gb zip download from megaman's post in #downloads
2. You forgot to turn off download sprites and restart your game
3. You extracted it on top of an existing InfiniteFusion folder. These files are your new game folder. Don't mix them with your old files.
4. You are opening it from your old game files or shortcut. You need to open it within the new folder that was extracted with the 2.6 gb zip

If you did ALL above, share a screenshot of you doing step 6 of the guide to show us your game files.
