in a situation where you only have 1 fightable pokemon, the pair on the right will tell you that you need 2 pokemon, and then ignore you. stepping into either of their sightlines, or talking to them, doesn't crash. the pair on the left crashes, either when talking or walking into sightlines
the other difference i know just from previous runs is that after their fights, the pair on the right doesn't let you refight them, instead they only say something and end dialogue there. the pair on the left DO let you refight them when talked to after the fight.
when you refight either camper like this, you only fight the one you're talking to in a 1v1, unlike when you fight them the first time where it's a forced 2v2

unless there's other differences in the code, i think that's what determines if the pair will crash the game or not when you only have 1 pokemon

When randomizing the game, you can only randomize Trainers and Gym leaders if you are playing Classic or Randomized Mode.

Having issues with an update on Steam Deck. Followed the video from #downloads and the update seemed to work fine. Old data in your Game folder is crashing or causing issues with your game. To fix:

1. Open your Game Folder
2. Delete your Data folder (This will not delete your saved data)
3. Double click INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.bat

App Installer:

1. Open the App -> Click Settings -> Click Open Game Folder
2. Delete your Data folder (This will not delete your saved data)
3. Go back to the App -> Installation Menu -> Update Game

Afterwards, reopen the game.

If you are having issues with sprites after using our new zip, this means you did not set it up correctly. Reasons it didn't work:

1. You didn't use our 2.57gb zip download from megaman's post in #downloads
2. You forgot to turn off download sprites and restart your game
3. You extracted it on top of an existing InfiniteFusion folder so it is conflicting
4. You are opening it from your old game files or shortcut. You need to open it within the new folder that was extracted with the 2.57gb zip

If you did ALL above, share a screenshot of you doing step 5 of the guide to show us your game files.

its your computer. when you extract make sure you are using winrar or 7zip. and when you use those make sure an anti virus isnt running as if its running while you extract things it will scan every single file before it extracts said file

Your game folder has a shortcut to this folder named: Savefile

If you want to transfer it, copy the save file into the same location above on the new computer.

Check our Official Android guide HERE. If you didn't follow this guide, DELETE and UNINSTALL everything.

All Android bugs/workarounds are in the guide. If your issue isn't listed, there's no fix. No dedicated mobile version of IF will be developed in the future.

i just want to mention that to much cheating does ruin the gameplay since at least from my pov, the reason to play the old pokemon instead of the new games is that they are more challenging like having an electro starter and the first gym leader being a rock type (yellow) gosh i remember till today how frustrated i where back than on my gameboy color. though i do understand a little lets say "helping hand"

I've been having problems with the beta. The game tends to stall out for a LONG time after catching a new mon (between screens, going to the sprite picker or the pokedex info screen) or when I'm trying to fuse mons (hit the option to fuse and it stalls out for a good while before pulling up the option to pick a fusion... and then if I decide to fuse, it's a crapshoot on if it'll stall out mid fusion or not).

My net is... wonky at the best of times, so I transferred all the sprites from my other PIF folder into the beta folder.

If you are having issues with sprites after using our new zip, this means you did not set it up correctly. Reasons it didn't work:

1. You didn't use our 2.57gb zip download from megaman's post in #downloads
2. You forgot to turn off download sprites and restart your game
3. You extracted it on top of an existing InfiniteFusion folder so it is conflicting
4. You are opening it from your old game files or shortcut. You need to open it within the new folder that was extracted with the 2.57gb zip

If you did ALL above, share a screenshot of you doing step 5 of the guide to show us your game files.

wine creates a compatibility layer where it emulates the same windows folder structure I believe, not quite sure where it does that though

Check if you have a third party virus scan running. Those want to scan every single file 1 by 1 while extracting. Slowing it to a crawl.

Guys, what else can I do to solve micro-stutters except the recommended tips? I've got AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 5650U with 32GB RAM, but the game is far from smooth. Map transitions are slow and game stutters not enough to be a serious problem, but enough to drive me mad, veery slowly.

Some loading tiles will just be like that. The game is built on a 20 year old engine and being pushed to the limit

A restart can do wonders if its actual transitions like doors you are Experiencing. Because those are smooth as butter for me

Restart actually helped a bit with micro stuttering, the most obvious lag I see is when I select a sprite for a Pokemon, but the cause of this particular delay is well justified. I guess I'll give it a restart every once a while when it starts to stutter more.

Hey @echo mason! Magic Boots are an IN GAME reward for catching all unfused 470 Pokemon in a non-randomized file (Dex number 1-470). After doing so, the Developer in Celadon will reward you with them. Putting them on will unlock DEBUG options that you can play with.

Liam, if you've got Windows 11 there's a built in Windows Defender and built in Windows virus scan and removal tools

it's veeeery hard to get viruses on modern Windows systems
