So what you need to do is go back to the guide, there is a fix for this

You need to download that zip

And follow the steps

So you will need to delete your current rpg maker

After you have beat the main part of the game (the elite 4) as it says you can THEN go back to the upgraded version of rpg maker.

The one already selected I believe

Unless you see something there that says rpg maker with elite 4 fix but I believe that's the zip itself

I imagine it should be wherever the original was, you are replacing it. That's why you needed to uninstall the original one you had.

Your basically downgraded which I know doesn't sound great but it's the fix lol and you will be able to go back later after beating game.

The first rpg maker you got, you need to uninstall. Not the one you just downloaded.

And the guide doesn't say it but I assume like what you were asking after that has been uninstalled then you will be using the one you just downloaded so that would go wherever you had the first one.

Lightweight Installer Update:

1. Open your game folder
2. Double click 'INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.bat'

App Installer Update:

1. Open the App
2. Click Installation Menu -> Update Game -> Click Update

Both options will update the game files for you. If it didn't, rerun the update and wait for it to finish. Take and share a screenshot of the window to #tech-support

Be aware, remapping controllers does not work outside of Xbox Controllers. You need to use a 3rd party app like Steam or JoyToKey to remap your controller to keyboard presses.

Any new game update, you need to rerandomize the settings you have enabled.

If you have only pokemon randomized, you need to Reshuffle Wild Pokemon

This is done in the Pokemon Center -> Update Man (guy in black suit) -> Click Advanced Settings -> You will see the Reshuffle options

This will fix the issue going forward, but sprites already messed up you might have to fix yourself from the Pokedex.

Your game folder has a shortcut to this folder named: Savefile
Each save file represents the save slot you saved into. Example: If you saved into Slot A, your save is named File A.rxdata

If you want to transfer it, copy the save file into the same location above on the new computer.

Hey @astral vigil! Magic Boots are an IN GAME reward for catching all unfused 470 Pokemon in a non-randomized file (Dex number 1-470). After doing so, the Developer in Celadon will reward you with them. Putting them on will unlock DEBUG options that you can play with.

Hey @hollow isle! If your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. The duration of the black screen depends on YOUR computer. Especially if you just imported sprites. The game needs time to process the hundred of thousands of sprites you imported.

1. Share a screenshot of the folder where you placed the sprite. Including the sprite being in the folder as well
2. Share a screenshot of in game, the pokemon you are trying to change the sprite for.
3. Share a screenshot of in game, the sprite tab in the pokedex for that pokemon to see if the sprite made it in

Hello, I'm having framerate issues whenever I run in grass or puddles. It makes the Celadon sewers very hard to play, as well as just searching for pokemon. Im playing on a Macbook Pro, so is it just a hardware issue?

On Mac, performance is 100% based on your Mac and compatibility with Wine. This game is only optimized for Windows and new macs have slower performance since Wine needs more time to develop on new hardware

Only thing that can speed it up is opening the game using game-preloaded instead of Game.exe. Will give you longer startup time to open the game, but faster in game performance

Any new game update, you need to rerandomize the settings you have enabled.

If you have only pokemon randomized, you need to Reshuffle Wild Pokemon

This is done in the Pokemon Center -> Update Man (guy in black suit) -> Click Advanced Settings -> You will see the Reshuffle options

This will fix the issue going forward, but sprites already messed up you might have to fix yourself from the Pokedex.

Hey @chrome quail! If your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. The duration of the black screen depends on YOUR computer. Especially if you just imported sprites. The game needs time to process the hundred of thousands of sprites you imported.

No, only the sprites of the pokemon you are using. The sprite repo will only download X amount of sprites within X amount of minutes. So basically you will get custom sprites downloaded as you play and use them

Since you are loading an existing save, vs a new save, it is trying to download MANY sprites at the same time. so just depends in what order the game downloads them as it allows

your save file has the sprite selected saved into it. If that sprite doesn't exist in the new repo, that is why it is a question mark. It doesn't know what the sprite is at all you are using so best to change it out in the pokedex and add it in yourself if you want it.

Your game folder has a shortcut to this folder named: Savefile
Each save file represents the save slot you saved into. Example: If you saved into Slot A, your save is named File A.rxdata

If you want to transfer it, copy the save file into the same location above on the new computer.

Preloaded is only for computers that perform poorly or if you want to play 100% offline. Otherwise, open Game.exe and the game will open without crashing.

Kinda, the beta has different folders than the original so if you move the indexed folder from the preloaded folder we have to Graphics/CustomBattlers/ in the beta (so it merges the existing with the preloaded), it will copy the fusion sprites to it.

Hello Im hoping someone can help me with linking my xbox contoller to my mac and actually being able to play the game with the xbox controller. The game does seem to be recieving any inputs from the controller but it works normally on any other os features of my macbook. What am i doing wrong?

You can press F1 (FN + F1 on laptops) to change your keybindings!

Be aware, remapping controllers does not work outside of Xbox Controllers. You need to use a 3rd party app like Steam or JoyToKey to remap your controller to keyboard presses.

Yeah I'm looking at this button layout and I'm Hella confused on it. Left goes right and right goes left. A doesn't click but C does. When I change it it does nothing. 😭 what am I missing here

You didn’t read the game keybinds. It isn’t normal Nintendo controls. To confirm dialog, it is the c keyboard key as you said.

To fix left/right, the Android guide has a section for that
