The difference between the preloaded and dynamic version is that the preloaded version comes with preloaded sprites (easier if you want to edit sprites for example), while the dynamic version will download the sprites as they're needed. Both are fully playable without any other downloads needed.

Wondering what the different game files are?

• Game.exe is the normal game. You don't need sprite packs as they are downloaded automatically with the latest sprites as you play.
• Game-default.exe is just a copy of the above.
• Game-preloaded.exe is the lesser version of the game just to make it work on slower computers. It requires ALL sprites to be local on your computer to work properly, but has long black screen start up and pc/party sprites are invisible until your next game restart.

When randomizing the game, you can only randomize Trainers and Gym leaders if you are playing Classic or Randomized Mode.

Randomizing trainers on Remix and Expert Mode will crash trainer battlers.

Steps:

1. Go to a Pokemon Center and talk to Help Man (guy in black suit)
2. Select Advanced Settings -> Randomizer Settings -> Turn Trainers/Gyms OFF

Hey @full sky! If your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. The duration of the black screen depends on YOUR computer. Especially if you just imported sprites. The game needs time to process the hundred of thousands of sprites you imported.

Im going to give a hypothetical example. So say the server has a cap of 500. If someone downloads 10 sprites in 1 request. The whole server only has 499 downloads left. Every time someone has to connect to the server, the cap goes down and down.

We uploaded the Lightweight Installer with ALL Sprites to fix the issue: CLICK HERE for DOWNLOAD.

• Download, Extract to a new folder, Open Game.exe. Nothing else needs to be done.
• This carries over your save file, you don't need to move or download anything else.

Hey @knotty quiver! Sprite Server is Down but the guide below has the Semi-Working version for Android. YOU WILL STILL HAVE MISSING SPRITES, but the best we can do until the Sprite Server is back up.

All Android bugs/workarounds are in the guide. If your issue isn't listed, there's no fix. No dedicated mobile version of IF will be developed in the future.

its been like this since Sept 21

for windows pc, use the files in the guide above

for mac, linux, chrome or steamdeck, your guide already has these files
for phobile, there is a download which has all the custom fusion sprites and all the base custom sprites, but lacks auto generated sprites, so you will still see some mons that are ?

until the repo is fixed, there is nothing we can do to fully remedy the issue for phobile [i.e., android]
