Lightweight Installer:

1. Open your Game Folder
2. Delete your Data folder (This will not delete your saved data)
3. Double click INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.bat

App Installer:

1. Open the App -> Click Settings -> Click Open Game Folder
2. Delete your Data folder (This will not delete your saved data)
3. Go back to the App -> Installation Menu -> Update Game

Afterwards, reopen the game.

a 5.0 save should work with the current version, as long as you are outside the changed story

i.e., if you are done with the main story plot and either have completed or haven't started the post game plot

saves predating 5.0 are lost forever

anything 5.1+ is completely compatible

it would mean having two different installs of the game

not sure where you have your current version installed in, but you'd need to move it somewhere else so when you go grabbing the new version, it won't over-right those files

the game uses the same save location, so i'd also recommend making a copy of your save and shoving that in with the old folder of files

since i'm not 100% sure how the post game tracks with saves being compatible in that version; it ensures that you have your old files so you can keep playing, the copy of the save is just in case the update borks it in some fashion

Hey Im having an issue that just started randomly

When I start up the game it's fine until the intro and then when I press start or 'A' or something to go to the main menu, the game freezes for a while and then it shows the messege "The RGSS script seems to be stuck, the game will now force quit' I've already checked updates

i encountered a crash, when walking forward i interacted with this gastly in the burnt tower while it was walking toward to get off the platform, but when i collided with it, i pushed the gastly forward slightly and then it completely froze, the music is still playing however

honestly just copy and paste the copy of the save somewhere else and update your game and see how it goes. There isnt a harm in just trying to see if it works fine.

Worst case, you have your backup copy and you finish the story on the old version then update later.

Weird, this has been reported many times, but I dont see a #1142871804269052004 for it. But yes under some weird conditions, the gastly/haunter can freeze the game here. Unfortunately no way to get out unless you use the debugger in your key items. If it doesn't even let you open the menu, you have to restart the game

Trying to edit code to enable cheats will **NOT **work. Magic boots are only available from in game rewards by catching the 470 Base Pokemon.

The only help we will provide to "fix" your issue is to give you the information to delete your game folder and reinstall using the files in #downloads message. This does not affect your save files.
