The issue isn’t the files of the app installer. It connects to the app repo to get the latest app version. Yours isn’t returning a number. This means you are having a connection issue because it should be returning 2.9.8.7 when connecting to the repo

Speed ran to it and put a save before talking to anyone in Pewter City. Talking to the Nectar Garden quest giver before talking to the Quest Journal giver will give you the bug

If you talk to the journal giver first it does not create the bug

hey im having issues with lag while going throgh my pc. It seemed to only fix when i fused all of the pokemon but when i unfuse them i still lag while hovering over the unfused pokemon. Is there a way to fix this? other than that the game runs decent enough

sounds like your computer/game is having slowness issues downloading sprites over the internet

Or processing their stats in the PC. Stats are processed on the fly so your computer needs to do calculations on the pc for wide range of mons at one time

this is a known part of the game ppl have slowness/lag but we can't improve the speed. It is how the game calculates stats that affects your performance

but also the PC should still have cache so if it slows down once that is normal, but when you move around there should get better while using it.

It might reset when leaving the pc, i didnt check that part out if it gets emptied when leaving

ive seen auto save be responsible for that. If you saved and closed the game during save, it will corrupt.

if you saved and walked around a bit, but auto save is set to auto save after 500 steps, it could have been auto saving when you closed the game

But who knows. it could have happened for other reasons also tough to say what caused it

Okay well I got the update to work now. I just completely redid files. But now there's a graphics issue where everything but my characters had in hair is invisible and it's like on screen maybe an inch or two away from the shadow of the character

@verbal timber Status update. I ahve offically been able to get the black screen to go away. I am not sure as to why it would suddenly be a issue on this patch vs previous editions but for sake of throughness I went to AMD Software: Adrenaline Edition software and set my graphics settings to defualt from Quality. All it seemed to do is turn off image sharpening and anti lag. Game now loads just fine. SO for anyone using a AMD GPU if your game loads the green screen then goes black and plays music and what not but never comes back from the black screen. Reset your graphics options in the AMD software to default. Only thing that worked me. Hope this helps anyone who finds it. Will include a video showing the issue and fixing it.
