It sounds like you are trying to open preloaded for some reason

On steam deck you should be opening Game.exe. It has better performance and if you used our Official Guide, it comes will all the sprites already.

If you overrode the sprites, well then hopefully you imported them correctly

Hey @keen kestrel! Are you trying to add more custom sprites to your game? You can find the most up to date sprite pack containing all custom sprites in #downloads! To add them to your game, simply copy all the files into your game's CustomBattlers folder. The pack also contains alts and things such as joke sprites and regional variants, which you can also add to your game if you wish.

You can swap between alts of a given fusion in-game, using the Pokédex!

Hello, I am having an issue with preload where the game will start but itll be a black screen. Itll be running because I hear the music and interaction with starting it and pressing save and hearing the sounds but its just black. Runs normal when I turn off preload but I need to run preload because I have slow internet. If you have only pokemon randomized, you need to Reshuffle Wild Pokemon

This will fix the issue going forward, but sprites already messed up you might have to fix yourself from the Pokedex.

You tried to enable debug mode illegitimately in the scripts, that doesn’t work anymore. Delete the Data folder in the game folder and rerun the INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.bat file in the game folder
