Keep in mind, this game is not made for mobile! The only workarounds we provide are in the guide. Any tile issues, performance issues, or bugs on Android cannot be fixed as they are JoiPlay issues. No dedicated mobile version of IF will be developed in the future.

You can enable Debug Mode by catching all 470 base Pokemon in a non-randomized file. After doing so, the Developer in Celadon will reward you with Magic Boots. You can also ping a moderator to give you a cool dex completion role, proof screenshot required.

Howdy y'all! Got two questions that I hope are not hard fixes...

1. When running IF through my Steam Deck, the controls were very weird, unlike the previous versions(2023), not sure if it's something on my end, but I did adjust the controls but still feels weird...
2. If I am primarily going to be playing at home with a stable internet connection(Steam Deck) but want to be able to use the preloaded version AND the regular game.exe that downloads as I go, is there an easy way to switch between the two, as in, do they share the saves but give me a different .exe to use? And adding to Steam so I can pick "Offline"/"Online" depending on my location without having to mess with controls too much(see Q1). Thank you!

1. Small number of ppl have reported their controls going away/resetting on steam deck. Unfortunately they needed to remap their controller. We have keybindings we can share of what they mean for PC, but you have to remap them to your steam deck.

2. Steam deck is not easy when it comes to that. If you want to change between Game.exe and Preloaded, you always need to go into Desktop Mode -> Steam -> change properties of the game to point to either opening Game.exe or Preloaded. If you add a separate game to your steam library (like 1 entry for Game.exe and 1 for preloaded), they will have 2 separate save file locations so you wouldn't be able to share save files without you moving it over back and forth

Also when you go from Game.exe to Preloaded, keybindings change. Just how the game is, so it is preferred you pick one and stick with it

Hey @icy bloom! Are you having trouble with the Pokéradar? You get it from the scientist in Cerulean City's Pokécenter. She gives you the Exp share as a quest reward there, and then will go to Route 24, where she will give you the radar.
When using it, make sure you have a repel active, or else you may only get regular encounters.

Hi, i am getting many pokemon listsed as either Pasaur or Zusaur, regardless of sprit. I have tried running updates and fixes, but nothing seems to work.
pictures shows a pokemon that is different than the name. When i select it, its a fused pokemon name.

This means your computer is blocking the app's access to delete/write data.

The app will delete this folder first before getting you the sprites. So your computer blocked it from deleting

The easy fix would be to delete CustomBattlers and Battlers folder yourself since the issue is it isn't able to delete those folders

The potential other issue would be that the app needs to move some files around. Hopefully your computer allows it to do it or you have to do that last part

It is a very small step if it doesn't let it do it though and i can show you what to do in that case

This is usually an issue with the versions of Joiplay and RPG maker you have installed. You need to uninstall both and use the ones from our Android guide. (trying to install on top of the ones you have won't work, need to uninstall first then install the ones in our guide)

Not sure if theres a fix or if its just how the game is but when i am playing the game, i get little stutters almost constantly while walking in the overworld. less so out of towns but everything i try doesnt seem to change anything, when im in battle its fine and in certain areas everything is fine but like viridian stutters like a mad man, I have a VOD or can get a clip if that'd help. It also seems to be locked at 40 fps not sure if thats normal either. thanks for you time.

The game engine by default is at 40 frames per second so that cant change. Also, the stuttering just depends on your PC. You can check out our performance tips, but that is mostly just hardware related.

Hey @safe cedar! Are you trying to add more custom sprites to your game? You can find the most up to date sprite pack containing all custom sprites in #downloads! To add them to your game, simply copy all the files into your game's CustomBattlers folder. The pack also contains alts and things such as joke sprites and regional variants, which you can also add to your game if you wish.

You can swap between alts of a given fusion in-game, using the Pokédex!

I asked this earlier but was told to ask a bit later when others were on but I get random stuttering while playing, mostly in towns and somewhat else where but like in shops or in battle it runs 100% fine, and yes ive read and done all the things in teh tech support. Hmm yeah those are the same stutters that I have, but they are a bit worse on your end.

(Pif Is also more reliant on cpu core speeds and file read speeds, many games will not be a fair comparison, but that is tech nerd talk and besides the point)

We are pushing the limits of the engine on which the game is built, so there is likely nothing more to be done for these stutters. Sometimes a system restart (not a turn off and then turn on again, but the windows restart option) can help a bit

You should reinstall on your desktop and then move it after to see if that helps. The path you are currently in might not have the right permissions to read/write data since it is not in a user directory
