Hey @narrow kindle! Are you trying to add more custom sprites to your game? You can find the most up to date sprite pack containing all custom sprites in #downloads! To add them to your game, simply copy all the files into your game's CustomBattlers folder. The pack also contains alts and things such as joke sprites and regional variants, which you can also add to your game if you wish.

You can swap between alts of a given fusion in-game, using the Pokédex!

That means your game folder is in a onedrive folder. Onedrive breaks the game

Okay so I think I did it mostly right but now I got this error message

you need to do a couple things.
1: In your game folder, you need to enable the setting to view hidden files How to do that
2: Delete the .git folder you will see in your folder now
3. Update again now

There is a bug with the game with the .git folder locking up so we need to delete it before updating

Hi, I've been trying to open the game for a while now. I've done multiple fresh installs following the installation guides, both through the installer and the lightweight download. Once the game hits the black screen of please wait I've left it open for up to 10-30min each time. I've added the exceptions in the anti-virus, restarted my computer and checked my onedrive. I feel like I've probably missed something pretty obvious, but I don't know what to try next

Hey @subtle mason! Are you having trouble starting the game? If your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. The duration of the black screen depends on your computer. Especially if you just imported sprites. The game needs time to process the thousands of sprites you imported.

Do not click on the window during this, otherwise you'll get the error below and the game will close.

If you're getting the "missing Game.ini" error, your game is not finding its necessary folders for some reason. Here's a list of things that may fix the issue:

1. Make sure that you have extracted the files from the ZIP, and aren't running the game straight from the zipped folder.
2. Make sure the game.exe file is in the folder with everything else. You might've moved it while trying to make a shortcut or something.
3. Rename the folder with the extracted files to a name without numbers or special characters, e.g. "PokemonInfiniteFusion".
4. Move the entire folder somewhere else on your computer. Moving it to the desktop seems to work for most people.
5. Redownload and re-extract the game in full.

this is an "error" which was in the old version of the installer. and often isnt actually a problem.
try running game.exe in the folder where the installer was.

If you cannot find that, it didnt work. then rerun the installer and screenshot it when it has finished so we can see what is going on.

I would only expect to see that error on preloaded (indeed when people are missing the sprites from extra setup for preloaded).
As game.exe should be downloading any missing sprites automatically.

That still for sure has to do with you not having all the sprites (the screenshot you sent).
the fix you mention now is a different known problem, which you seem to have fixed, you likely had both issues.

IF you still want to play on preloaded, you should follow the guide megaman sent in the first case. (you will run into problems on preloaded of the dont, even if you got past the cutscene). If your pc/internet can handle it, i'd recommend using game.exe instead of game-preloaded now that it works. Enjoy!

preloaded generally is only for people with problems on game.exe

game.exe will keep all the sprites up to date automatically, with an internet connection

for people with bad internet this can be a problem.

thats why game-preloaded does not do that, and requires the user to manually install EVERYTHING.
if you are missing even 1 sprite, the game will crash sooner or later on preloaded, as it cannot pull the missing sprite from the internet

And the game installs sprites as you encounter Pokemon. The custom sprites don’t come with the installation

The game doesn't come with custom sprites, but the game auto installs them as you encounter pokemon.

Only thing I can think of which is risky is see if you can system restore your computer to a past date, but not sure the effort is worth it

Delete your Data folder and rerun INSTALL_OR_UPDATE.bat to fix it

This doesn't delete your save, but resets your game files to the correct versions. Like a mini reinstall pretty much

I also tested it right now just to double check and no crash. Could have been you had it enabled like that from a while ago and forgot. This version now crashes the game if that code was changed.
