Hey @cedar remnant! Are you having trouble starting the game? If you are launching v5, and your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. Leave the game running for a few minutes and it will work eventually.

Do not click on the window during this, otherwise you'll get the error below and the game will close.

If you are using the App Installer, you can try downloading custom sprites although it might fail if you can't connect to the sprite repo.

You can also do this manually with a zip file

Hey @modest wagon! Are you having trouble starting the game? If you are launching v5, and your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. Leave the game running for a few minutes and it will work eventually.

Do not click on the window during this, otherwise you'll get the error below and the game will close.

Hey @coral plank! Are you having trouble with the Pokéradar? You get it from the scientist in Cerulean City's Pokécenter. She gives you the Exp share as a quest reward there, and then will go to Route 24, where she will give you the radar.
When using it, make sure you have a repel active, or else you may only get regular encounters.

One thing I noticed in ROM speedups (not so much here), is that if the game was on speed up for a certain amount of time, going back to normal speed actually was slower than it should be. Like it would lag and stutter despite running smoothly before/during speed up etc

Hey @wide hearth! This game is not made for mobile! The only workaround is to install JoiPlay, but any performance issues, bugs, or issues with Android are not fixable. No dedicated mobile version of IF will be developed in the future.

Hello, game recently gave error line 34: argumenterror occurred. marshal data too short. research seems to point to bad save file. son is happy to restart if he has to, but i cant seem to get past that error even after removing all of the save files. even re-extracted from zip to a new location and new install executable is doing the same thing (though Savefile link goes to same user/romaing.../ location).

You need to:

1. open your game folder
2. Open the shortcut named SaveFile
3. That takes you to the Save folder
4. Delete all the items in here. Don't delete the folder, just all the items and try opening the game again

Also verify when you open the game, you are on version 6.0.5
