Hey @maiden mesa! Are you having trouble starting the game? If you are launching v5, and your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. Leave the game running for a few minutes and it will work eventually.

Do not click on the window during this, otherwise you'll get the error below and the game will close.

Hey @proven wasp! Are you trying to add more custom sprites to your game? You can find the most up to date sprite pack containing all custom sprites in #downloads! To add them to your game, simply copy all the files into your game's CustomBattlers folder. The pack also contains alts and things such as joke sprites and regional variants, which you can also add to your game if you wish.

You can swap between alts of a given fusion in-game, using the Pokédex!

When you run the .bat file, it will give you an error that it cannot find a .zip file, but that is fine. That zip isn't used anymore and you can play the game on 6.0

ok so ive changed every setting i can and tested, and my game still barely works. everytime i transition to a new map or from battle to the map, it takes an eternity to load. Loading into battle, animations, and everything else runs perfectly smooth, but getting from battle to movement takes over a minute long load time every time. can someone help me with this?

Anti viruses tell you what it detects is a "virus" and then you can tell it to allow it. You probably need to google it. Different norton software, different version have different UI to do this

Well in general, if you have all the sprites downloaded locally, it is better to run Alt Launcher / Game - Preloaded for better performance, but it is broken with this new update

So here is my issue: It all started with the mt moon error. I went to try to fix the game, my launcher stopped working so I had to close. When I came back, if I hit fix again, it crashed, if I hit uninstall, it crashes, if I press play nothing happenned. I tried to manually uninstall now but when I click open game folder, it leads me to my docs folder and nothing on it. I tried the older launcher but it gives me the missing species.zip error. I think I somehow locked myself away from the game, somehow the launcher think I have the game installed when it leads me to a folder without the game

Hey @sweet void! Are you having trouble starting the game? If you are launching v5, and your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. Leave the game running for a few minutes and it will work eventually.

Do not click on the window during this, otherwise you'll get the error below and the game will close.

No PhyFs error is a known issue, means your Game.exe is not playable on your computer due to specs of it. You have to use Alt Launcher/Game-Preloaded but that is broken right now

I found the fix on my end. Instead of opening the update file from winzip. I opened the file in my documents and then found the update bat in there. Worked straight away and now have 6.0. Took less than 30 seconds to update.

I’m not sure if someone else has sought help for this problem yet, but I literally just figured out how to download this game a week ago and have it setup in my Steam library so I can comfortably play it on my steam deck through the hardware OS… that being said, I have no idea what hoops I now have to jump through to update. It was simple to download using a specific link from someone on YouTube because every other link I tried was struggling with Linux I guess, so has anyone updated this game on the steam deck?

Hey @dim ferry! Are you having trouble downloading the game? You can find the download of the game in #downloads! To run it, simple unzip all of the files into a folder, then click the .bat file. Be mindful that the game takes a few minutes to load, don't touch the black window before it does!

No on Steam Deck it is a little unique. I think I go through it in the video but you would put that new folder on the Desktop. Then open Steam and go to your Pokemon Infinite Fusion Game and go to properties

Then on the field that saws Target, change that to be the path to your Game.exe in the new folder. If you do this, you don't do anything with youe save

I’ve always been confused when updating games because it takes me awhile to understand what the hardware naturally transfers from one folder to the next. If I have to versions of the same game on my device and steam is reading from the new folder’s location, then it will still access or transfer my old save into the new folder? Making the old folder obsolete and ok to delete? Did I get that right?

Hey @pliant rose! Are you trying to add more custom sprites to your game? You can find the most up to date sprite pack containing all custom sprites in #downloads! To add them to your game, simply copy all the files into your game's CustomBattlers folder. The pack also contains alts and things such as joke sprites and regional variants, which you can also add to your game if you wish.

You can swap between alts of a given fusion in-game, using the Pokédex!

Randomizer is always iffy after an update. Might have to mess with the Black Suit guy in the pokecenter and try different randomize options to "reset" it

Hey @trail warren! Are you having trouble starting the game? If you are launching v5, and your screen is stuck on black at startup, don't worry, it's normal. Leave the game running for a few minutes and it will work eventually.

Do not click on the window during this, otherwise you'll get the error below and the game will close.

So ya, I deleted the old version of the game and tried your YouTube method for the new update, and I simply can’t get it to start. I updated proton and tried each exe file, but nothing will run. I’m not sure if you have the right link because after I open the extracted version, it has three exe files (game.exe, game-preloaded.exe, and game-default.exe) when before it was just the normal version and alternate version. Maybe the problem is something else, but I’ll let you know your video you’re about to upload already has one view.

I figured it out. The png and jpg files somehow were fucking with it. Had to manually add it to steam again instead of just changing the location in properties on the previous version
