Don’t know how to fix, but what I would try is going to a Pokémon center and talk to the guy in a black suit on the second floor and randomize encounters from him. Fix game option in addition might help but this would be something better posted in #1142871804269052004

As long as you moved custom battlers and battlers to your graphics folder that is fine. If you put them anywhere else then it won’t work. The post has a video to see an example as well

You can right click the folder and select the option “cut” that is similar to copy but when you paste it, it will remove it from where it is currently and paste it to the location you pasted in

If you're getting the "missing Game.ini" error, your game is not finding its necessary folders for some reason. Here's a list of things that may fix the issue:

1. Make sure that you have extracted the files from the ZIP, and aren't running the game straight from the zipped folder.
2. Make sure the game.exe file is in the folder with everything else. You might've moved it while trying to make a shortcut or something.
3. Rename the folder with the extracted files to a name without numbers or special characters, e.g. "PokemonInfiniteFusion".
4. Move the entire folder somewhere else on your computer. Moving it to the desktop seems to work for most people.
5. Redownload and re-extract the game in full.

Hey @bleak kelp! Are you having trouble downloading the game? You can find the download of the game in #downloads! To run it, simple unzip all of the files into a folder, then click the .bat file. Be mindful that the game takes a few minutes to load, don't touch the black window before it does!

well it's easier for me since I'm on windows going from a PC to an ROG Ally. worst case scenario I can just do mklink /J <local fusion save folder> C:\Users\<username>\OneDrive\pokemon_fusion_save and the game won't know that the save game is being hosted in OneDrive. That's how I sync my yuzu saves between hosts too

But performance just depends on your phone and how you install the game but the game is not meant to be on mobile. It is a workaround to get it on there so it isn’t going to be optimized

Good recommendation, thank you! I was able to unzip the sprites files and get the alt launcher to launch the game. Unfortunately, when I hit enter at the title screen it’s still all black screen (going on 7+ minutes). Is it possible that I have corrupted save data interfering here? I held onto a backup with just a few save files in a separate folder, and that’s not in the same parent folder as IF. But idk, just trying to think of things that could be messing with it

It really depends on your machine, but it shouldn;t take that long. This black screen is where it is indexing and importing all of the thousands and thousands of sprites you put in the game if you did the sprite installation correct (Sprites.zip + Full Monthly Sprites). but 7 min kind of long

Sprites.zip doesn't have all of the sprites, sometimes ppl get errors of missing sprites and they are in there

so it is recommend to do both 900 mb files like in my guide

not sure if it would solve your issue though so you are just stuck on black screen. Maybe try rerunning the install_or_update.bat file again, but I don't have any more suggestions after that

Alternate answer: this problem is happening because you used a randomizer. If you do not want to reshuffle and just want to get past that one guy, do a clean install in a separate folder. It will use the same save and you can progress past that guy.

Neat tip: the only way I got a good framepacing for that game was 39Hz+39FPS limit, and not 40Hz (Hz =/= fps). Which requires the Ryan Rudolf expanded Hz script on steam deck. Problem doesn't exist when docked, I reported this in the infinite fusion discord some months back
"If yall got this on steam deck, locking the screen hz to 39 with the expanded hz script makes the game's framepacing flatline instead of jumping around, and makes the game very smooth as a result. In case anyone searches "steam deck" in this discord, this'll show up"
